Hello, Everypony and Happy Holidays.

Hey, everyone. RBDash here where things are getting interesting on the scene of Dereun and are certainly starting to heat up. Okay, I'm gonna drop the act. But on a real note, things are certainly about to get interesting. ANSWER THE FREAKING POLL ON MY PAGE! I need to know exactly what characters you want to see more, oh well. In other news the other story on my page has officially died. It was a pointless thought, and I need to be careful of what I post. SO I decided to give my ideas a few days of thought before I post.

Here are just some things that I have to say to some of my fans.

To Larry, DON'T YOU EVER COME ON MY PAGE/STORIES WITH THAT CRAP JUST BECAUSE NO ONE CARES! If you really have a problem with Misty's story then go make your own account(that you don't have, guest), and make your own story that actually does follow the rules. When an actual mod tells Misty that she needs to change her story format, then she'll change it. Until then, you need to stop bugging her about it. The fans like it and that's all that matters. Get over it and carry on with your life.

To Gerymikelvich, Do you have like telapathy or something, you actually got a few parts of it right. Nice.

Without further ado, here is the next chapter of By Your Side

Chapter 9: Where am I? What am I?

What happened? What Happened Next? Was I dead... or alive.

But more importantly, was Rainbow alive?

...Rainbow... Rainbow... Rainbow...

"RAINBOW!" I shouted. My eyes shot open as I shot up off of the ground. "WHERE ARE YOU?!" I shouted aimlessly. I continued to do so for the next few seconds, minutes, I wasn't even remembering. All that I really cared about at the moment was what had happened to Rainbow.

As I ranted on, paying attention to nothing else (not even my surroundings or the people watching me) I started to recall the events that had previously transpired. I remembered the race to get to the portal. And then I remembered throwing Rainbow in the portal... and then overlaunching...

Then I fell in.

After a while I started to finally calm down. I started to regain my sanity Even though I was sweating all over.

Then I finally saw what was really wrong...

Multiple things actually.

As I lifted my hoof to wiped the sweat off of my forehead I-

Wait... Hoof?

I started to panic again... I swear I started to lose my mind. I frantically started to look all over my body, which was shockingly covered in red fur. I also noticed that my feet weren't feet. Same for my hands. Instead, both my hands and feet were flat, non-detailed, and covered with fur. I was red everythere. I put my hands- or whatever they were- on my face. My nose stuck out a lot more and my chin and mouth had an uncomfortable curve to them. I got up on my legs and started to walk to anything that had a reflection, so I could see my self.

I lost my balance and fell right back onto the floor.

I tried to get up once more, but took the same result. I don't have time for this! I thought so I did the only thing that I could do: Walk on all four's. Yes it's embarrassing, but it was the only way I could get around without falling flat on my face. I looked around for anything that shined or had a reflection: Glass, a piece of metal, anything would've helped.

Finally, I turned to my left and coincidentally found a perfect mirror. I immediately sprinted (more like galloped) to it and took a look at myself.
The first thing that I noticed was that my eyes were about FIVE TIMES BIGGER than normal eyes. My hoof like hands, I extremely pointed nose which was kinda like a muzzle now. My red fur everywhere along the body. I had a horn on my head and a pair of pointed wings on my back. This could have only meant one thing...

I was a pony. A pegasus-unicorn pony...

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

Without warning I screamed at the mirror. Surprised that the mirror didn't crack because of my screaming. I didn't know what had happened to me.

Suddenly I felt something on my back. Which gets me to another thing that was wrong.

I turned my head with a "huh?" and saw the same white pegasus-unicorn from my dream. I forgot her name for some reason, and no matter how hard I tried to remember, I couldn't, so I let it go for the moment. I had also noticed that all the other ponies from my previous dreams were also surrounding me.

"Is everything alright?" she asked peacefully and with a soft voice.

Now normally I would usually say that I was fine, I would say that I had just realized that something was wrong, like I had realized I lost my wallet or something, and I had reacted accidentally in public. But not this time. definitely not this time. I had switched from my human body to a red, pegasus-unicorn, I didn't know where I was, I'm in a room filled with 8 technicolor ponies, and I can't find my comrade who needs to find herself a way back home.

So I let loose and gave a big very long explanation.

Not once did the eight ponies question anything that I said. They didn't interrupt, or turn their heads in question. All they did was stare at my intently and listen as I said everything that had happened before and during my time with Rainbow. From the fire to the portal, I let everything off.

And when I was done, their mouths were gaping. they started at me for a while. Even to the point where things got extremely awkward.

Suddenly, the purple unicorn (Remember I forgot her name) came up to me and threw her arms around me and embraced me in a tight hug.

"Wha-?" I started to say.

"Thank you. Thank you so, so, so much." She said.

Suddenly I felt another pair of arms on my neck. I turned to see the orange, stetson-wearing pony.

"Because of you we got our friend back..."

Before I know I felt another pair of arms around me.

"How can we ever repay you for getting our friend back home?"

You know what came next. Two more pairs of arms. I was now in a five-way hug (no pun intended... SHUT UP!).

"Oooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhh! ThankyouthankyouthankyouifourfrienddashiewasnthomewedontknowwhatwewoulddoIwouldactuallyhavetothrowpatrieswithoutrainbowdashandthosepartieswouldbeasfunasafunpartywithoutrainbowdashcanyoubelievethatImeanIcan'teventhinkofaDash-lesspartyI- HMPH!"

I looked down and saw the pink pony with a hoof in her mouth to quiet her down.

Geez, she is really hyperactive.

We all stayed in a tight hug, and after a while, I gave into it too. I spread my arms around the five ponies, well as much as I could, my arms weren't that long.

After a while we broke off, and my smile quickly faded. I turned to the white pegasus-unicorn and went back to the topic at hand.

I want to see Rainbow, then I'll go back through the portal back home. She nodded and started to walk. I started to follow. And the others followed suit.

We walked into a giant hallway scaled with windows and rooms as far as the eye could see. After walking a little while, The white pony turned left into a room. I turned right behind her. She opened the door where a bright blue- no, cyan pegasus was sleeping in a bed. At first glance she was almost unrecognizable.

But the hair was what brought it back to me.

"That's Rainbow... Is she awake?" I aksed.

"Yeah... I'm up." I heard a familiar female voice say.

I looked down at Rainbow and saw her head twisted to look at me. I could recognize those deep purple eyes anywhere. I turned to the white pony. "Can we have a moment to ourselves, please?" I aksed.

The ponies obliged and walked out of the room until we were the only ones left inside.

"So I guess that you're happy to be home?" I asked.

"Yeah, You're planet was cool and all, but I really do appreciate it that you got me back home. I really got homesick for a while." she responded.

"I'm happy that I could help. When all of this started, didn't I say that I would do my best to get you back home?"

"Yeah, you did. And I guess you kept you're word about it. I'm honestly surprised that you didn't think twice about helping me. You were actually pretty fast to help me weren't you. Why was that?"

"Well... I...uhhh... umm. I don't have a reason? Guilty conscience?" I conjured up. Being totally honest, I really didn't have a reason for helping her out. That's honestly what I do back on Earth. I help with no reward intended.

But this time there was an award: Rainbow's happiness.

"Now come here and give me a hug," Rainbow said with her arms suddenly stretched wide. I couldn't do anything but respond by obliging. In return I stretched my arms wide, wrapped my Arms around Rainbow and pulled her in for a tight hug. We hugged for a while before I started to let go of my lock.

But she pulled me back in and out lips connected.

We were kissing... For the first time I was actually kissing a girl. Full mouth french kissing... with the tongue... yes, with the tongue. They were touching

I could want to go back to my world, but I actually wanted to stay there... as long as I could.

And I didn't even know that the white Alicorn was standing behind me with the worst news of my life.

As our lips disconnected, I turned to see the white Alicorn, who must've accidentally walked in on our little intimate scene. She didn't seem shocked or surprised in anyway possible. In fact she seemed quite amused.

"Well, was this a bad time?" she asked.

"NOO! NO AT ALL!" Rainbow and I said simultaneously.

"Well, I come with some unfortunate news," she said as I raised my eyebrow in question. "My sister has just informed me that the gateway has officially closed. I'm sorry, but you won't be able to get beck home for some time."

"I'm gonna be staying here?!" I asked in shock.

"Unfortunately. I must say yes."

Well, looks like I'm gonna be here for a long time?

"Where's he gonna live? what's he gonna eat? What's he gonna do while he's here?" Rainbow asked frantically.

"I think it would be wise for him to live with you in Ponyville, Ms. Dash. You do after all have the biggest connection with him," the Alicorn advised.

Huh!?

"I don't know if that would be a great idea. I mean, I have nothing against living with someone, jsut my house is way way dirty and I usually don't buy enough food for two ponies and I-"

"It's Okay Rainbow Dash... we've got all of that under control," I heard a somewhat familiar English-accented voice say. I saw all of the other ponies come out. Her friends.

"It's okay, we'll help you out with your new roommate," said the Stetson-pony. I think I'm gonna call her that.

"Well thanks guys," Rainbow Replied. She looked up at the Alicorn. Okay, then It's settled. He'll live with me for the time being no matter how long it has to be.

Well it looks like I've found a new home for the time being...
