Hey y'all! I ireally wanted to post this chapter early but... I waited because I Iwanted the anticapation to grow. So here it is...Enjoy!

Disclaimer: I really you want you to read this and for me not to get sued so I don't own these wonderful people.

Is it bad, to like your best friend?

I paced the carpet of my room wearing a path.

"Why out of all the 7.0 billion people on earth did I have to end up with a crush on him? Why couldn't it have been another blond, a less Ross blond." I said out loud.

My phone buzzed again for the twentieth time in the last hour. I picked it up, the screen lit with one repeated name.

Ross ross ross ross. All down the screen with either messages or missed calls.

I should answer, I know I should. But I just couldn't find the words to formulate an intelligible answer.

I heard a doorbell ring from downstairs. My parents were out so I went down the steps and pulled open the door.

The blond that was currently filling my thoughts stared back at me.

My mouth opened and closed like a fish, I couldn't think of anything to say.

"Can I come in?" He said, his hands digging in his pockets.

I mentally face palmed, letting him in was a good idea. Why didn't I think of it?

I nodded so nothing stupid would come out of my mouth. He stepped in and walked to the living room. I shut the door and followed him.

"Did you get anything I sent you? I've been trying to reach you all day." He says cracking his knuckles nervously.

I cringe at the sound. "Yeah I... I got them." I said looking down at my converse.

"Are you Laura Marano, my best friend? Because if I remember correctly, the last time I forgot to respond to a text you went off on me on set because, and I quote, 'It's rude not to reply to someone when they took minutes out of their life to text you when they could have been eating ice cream or something'." He said crossing his arms.

I laughed still not looking at him. "I said all of that? To be honest I don't remember what I had for dinner last night so-"

"Something's wrong." He said matter a factly.

"Nothing's wrong." I said my eyes still glued to my purple shoes.

"Then why aren't you looking at me? You are a firm believer in eye contact." He said a teasing lilt in his voice.

I shrugged. "No reason, I just really like my new shoes." I said crossing my feet.

"They're not new." He said.

"How do you know?" I said pricking the red polish on my nails.

"Because I was there when I got them for you for your birthday?" He said. I could hear the question in his voice.

"Right."

"Look at me." He demanded. "Please."

"Why?" I said nervously.

"So I can see why your mad at me." He whispered. I shut my eyes. I turned my head up slightly so my head was looking at him.

"They're still closed Laur." He said.

I popped one eye open then the other. His eyes changed when he saw them, their focus becoming soft.

"What did I do?" He said taking a step toward me.

I took a step back. "I don't know really. I think it's that you did everything right." I said, the last part coming out a breath.

He looked at me like I was the only thing that mattered right then. "Ross, I like you. And I don't even know why. Your my best friend, this only happens in books and TV shows."

I said throwing my hands up to have them flop at my sides. "It was the kiss wasn't it?" He said twisting his ring on his finger.

"I think, I liked you way before that. The kiss was kind of just a wake up call." I said.

He ran his hand through his hair, coming in contact with the perfect cowlick I loved.

"I, honestly, realized I liked you on the beach in Australia." He said taking a step toward me.

My eyes turned as wide as saucers. "What?" I said, but I think it came out a sound instead of a word.

He got closer but I couldn't move, my feet glued to the ground. My hands were shaking at my sides so I clenched them to make it stop.

"Laura, I don't know how it happened. But one day, you were standing there with your curls and your skirts. Looking like the most beautiful thing I had ever seen." He said his voice shaking.

He was right in front of me now. He pulled my chin up to look at him. "Now look at me and tell me you don't feel the same thing." He whispered.

I tried to keep my eyes downcast, but his hold on my chin kept them turned upwards.

I said nothing, because not a sound would make it past the lump in my throat.

"Laura, please." He breathed, his hot breath hitting my face.

My eyes watered, glistening over with salt water. A drop fell down my cheek as words finally fomulated on my tounge.

"I can't Ross. Because then I'd be telling the biggest lie known to man." I said my voice cracking.

His eyes filled with determination as he looked at my lips. He looked at me.

My words were the only thing he needed to know.

He pushed his lips toward mine the rest of the way, filling the space between us.

His lips fit mine perfectly, danced in perfect sync. I grabbed his neck and he grabbed my waist, both of us wanting more of each other.

He slid his tounge across the seam of my lips, asking for permission. I gasped letting him in.

His tounge slid across mine in a perfect waltz, like it was meant to be.

We pulled away, the need for air a constant. He leaned his forehead against mine breathing deeply.

I looked up at his closed eyes, so that when he opened them i was the first thing he saw.

He fluttered them open, his brown orbs meeting mine.

"That was-"
"Perfect"

We said at the same time, laughing at the familiarity to the script.

"We are seriously becoming our characters." Ross said still looking at me.

"I don't know if Disney allows kisses like that though." I said scrunching my nose.

He breathed a laughing sigh. "So what are we gonna do?"

I sighed. "I have no idea to be honest with you."

"We could-" he started but I stopped him.

"We are absolutely not doing the friends with benefits deal." I said my hand on his chest.

"Well then we only have one other option, because after that kiss, my feelings might go haywire if we're still friends." He said his arms slithering around my waist.

I slid mine around his neck. "Laura Marie Marano, would you like to be my girlfriend?" He said.

I smiled. "Ross Shor Lynch, I would be happy too, but you have to take me out and get my father's permission first." I said. His eyes bulged.

I shrugged. "Italian rules." I said. "But your father scares me." He said shivering.

"Oh he is not that bad, its not like we're getting married or anything." I said.

He blew out a breath his cheeks puffing out like a chipmunk. "I better go plan the best first date ever for... Friday?" He said pulling me to the door with him as he grabbed his coat.

I nodded. "It's a date." I said as he grabbed my waist and I rubbed his arms.

He pecked me on the lips before he headed out the door toward his prius. I watched him drive off, making sure he was completely out of sight before closing the door.

I walked toward the stairs and put my hand on the railing. I jumped in a victory dance. I skipped up the stairs, going to replay that moment of perfect bliss again and again.
