Chapter 10:

Last time on life's just perfect: "It's not real. Whyyyyyyy?!" asked Dan. "because" said Lucy while turning to Natsu and giving him a kiss straight on his lips "my name is Lucy Dragneel and this man is my husband." Unbeknownst to them everyone had heard what Lucy said and in their minds was one thing "WTF?!"

The bar was suddenly quiet that you could hear a pin drop everyone was still quiet after hearing Lucy's announcement. "so does this man that Lucy is actually married?" asked Juvia. Natsu was the first to jump and say "hell no I'm not married to that blondie, that's just drunk talk." "yeah suuuuure" replied everyone not really believing the pink haired teenager. Lucy on the other hand was hugging Natsu's arm in order to gain his attention but he finally turned to her he was met with Lucy on all fours and pointing to her chin "ne- ne Natsu purr, make me purr" he finally snapped and shouted "WHAT THE HELL'S WRONG WITH YOU?!" All Lucy did was just laugh and climb on his back while saying "Natsu carry me carry" "don't wanna " replied Natsu with a popping vein. Lucy then brought her head down and whispered into his ear "I need to go to the bathroom. Poor Natsu was forced to carry her to the bathroom and back again. The couple returned to their room and lay on the bed ,dead tired. Suddenly Lucy began stripping her clothes and was left in just her underwear while Natsu was trying to stop a nosebleed from happening. "Good night , I love you,Nasty Natsu" said Lucy. "Yeah right" answered Natsu disinterestedly. All of this happened but in reality Natsu was trying very hard not to notice his secret wife. Because despite his cold demeanor towards her he was actually beginning to fall in love with her. The next morning proved to be a huge task to Natsu as he woke up and found that he had wrapped his arms around a girl and was cuddling her with all his might and that the girl had a nice smell of vanilla and he snuggled even deeper while taking the relaxing scent. While he kept doing that he fully woke up and realized he was actually cuddling Lucy he left the room but when .he saw their clothes scattered on the floor the first thing he thought of was that 'oh no I did not do IT with her did I ?' but to his relief when he pulled back the covers he saw that he still had his boxers on that that she had her underwear on he let out a sigh of relief, he was safe that day and left the room quietly. On the other hand Lucy woke up with a killer headache and and the first thing which she did after waking up fully was to puke and that's why she made a beeline towards the bathroom ignoring the cries of "don't come in here!" she opened the door to find a completely nude Natsu screaming while covering his "ahem-" "special lil' Dragneel" "GET OUT OF HERE CAN'T YOU SEE THAT I'M USING THE BATHROOM!". Due to Lucy's hangover she just scoffed and just ignored him and did her business. All of this was done while both Lucy and Natsu were thinking that the other one was "pretty hot" but for Natsu he was in the lines of "what the hell is happening to me?"

NATSU'S POV:

After the bathroom incident we went on our business like nothing ever happened but I have a single problem now and that is that I'm falling for my wife and that is something I vowed to never happened, sure I've kissed her a few times but it was out of obligation but now it's different as I keep feeling a fluttering feeling whenever I see her. After the shower I went to the breakfast lounge where I piled a large breakfast while eating Lucy was in a conversation with Levy when she suddenly began laughing. I swear it was the most beautiful sound ever just like the tinkling bells of—wait what am I even thinking of ? this is Lucy my weirdo albeit forced wife. I'm supposed to not have any feelings for her. Why is my heart beating faster whenever I'm near her? The only solution is to act very cold. So I ignored her whenever she came near or tried to gain my attention. I mean she's the only thing on my mind right now. I really need to sort how I feel so I asked the only one I could trust with my life's secrets, the one and only Jellal. I found him looking out to the beach during night time watching at the stars. Just seeing this reminded me of Lucy. I swear to god I'm turning to a helpless sap who can't think of anything except Lucy. I approached him and said "I need your help."

JELLAL'S POV:

"I need your help" was what Natsu told me, like the listening guy I am, I said "what can I help you with?" what he said then made me do a spit take. "well there's this girl, I don't really like her but recently I've been feeling very weird around her I mean whenever we accidentally brush against her I get an electrifying sensation, my stomach does flips whenever I see her, her scent is the only thing which calms me down, and she's constantly there in my mind. What is wrong with me?" asked Natsu while frustrated. I couldn't help it and I began laughing and saying " congratulations Natsu you are finally falling in love" "NO don't tell me I'm falling for that weirdo?" shouted Natsu. "I'm not going to accept this" he continued. I sighed and nearly facepalmed. "Natsu" I began "something like love isn't defined, denying it will only get you nowhere, so the faster you accept that you're in love the better." "BUT I CAN'T CALCULATE THAT!" cried Natsu. "love is never calculatable just follow your heart" I replied. Then a large silence followed and I heard the most ridiculous statement ever. "I'm going to stop these feelings" I then grabbed the pink haired idiot and began shaking him while saying "STOP BEING IN DENIAL YOU'RE GOING TO MAKE YOUR HEART SUFFER SO MAN UP AND ACCEPT YOUR FEELINGS" "ok, ok" replied Natsu "jeez don't explode on me" he exclaimed as he left. "yeah get out of here pyro freak" I said while laughing. As he left I looked up at the stars and said to myself "how long is he going to deny what he feels for Lucy? I feel sorry for her falling head over heels for someone like Natsu. but let's just watch for now and see what will happen in the future."

NATSU'S POV:

As I left Jellal I was thinking on what he told me 'do I really love Lucy? Is it just a crush or am I actually falling in love with my wife?" I kept asking myself that question 'ugh, damn that Jellal filling my mind with these kinds of thoughts' I thought angrily . I walked to my room and saw Luce sprawed on the bed her hair in disarray due to her turning over in sleep the moonlight giving a halo like vision on her head, she truly looked like an angel unable to resist I kissed her on the forehead and took in her comforting scent. I then got up with a red face while asking myself 'what the hell am I doing?' 'am I starting to become a pervert?' then I heard a faint voice saying "I love you forever even if you don't love me, Natsu". icouldn't stop the blush which spread on my face. "night weirdo" was all I could say as I also went to sleep. I swear the next everything I saw Lucy do was either cute or beautiful, even her breathing. To avoid embarassing myself I would run away and her face would show a pained expression. Even though I felt a sinking feeling in my gut I would ignore it. That is until on that day at school after the trip was when I thought that enough is enough.

LUCY'S POV:

I can't believe it ever since I woke up the next day after I had gotten drunk everyone was looking at me differently. I couldn't fathom what I did until Lisanna, Cana and Erza grabbed my hand and dragged me into a secluded corner. "now spill Lucy are you really married to Natsu?" asked Lisanna with big expecting eyes "umm no I'm not" I lied through my teeth as I remembered the promise I gave Natsu. I saw Lisanna's face deflate while the others looked at me and said "stop lying Lucy" and played a recorded clip of me kissing Natsu and declaring that I was married to him. My face could only show mortification but I lied by saying that I was under the influence of alcohol and Cana just stated "you do know that alcohol shows the real emotions you have, so do you like Natsu?" I nodded my head yes "oh my god! I knew it you actually do looooooooooove him". After this confession I saw Natsu many times since the bathroom incident but everytime he would even look at me he would run away an act like he didn't care. And I was tired of this I wanted answers and I needed them as soon as possible and little did I know that I would get my answer very soon.

NO ONE'S POV:

At school after the trip the school was met with the sight of an angry Lucy and Natsu who wouldn't even look at Lucy. "uh guys what's wrong with you two?" asked Gray they both looked at him and answered "ask him/her!" angrily. They turned to each other and said "ugh, stop copying me." Erza then walked to the two and asked " would it kill you to actually talk to each other instead of being at each other's throats for today." To give a quick review of what happened is that Lucy is fed up with Natsu's ignorance of her feelings while Natsu is still conflicted which led to fighting and that's how you see them now. All the while which was happening Natsu went to class without even caring to glance at Lucy.

During class Gildarts had a strange announcement. "Ok class I know this is a bit late but we have a new transfer student. Introduce yourself, I don't really care." "My name is Bora. I'm from Hargeon. Pleased to meet all of you" he began. When he turned to look around class. He saw someone who made his heart race with excitement a cute blonde with a very nice face and a hot body at that. In his mind was 'a new play toy to ease my boredom' he walked straight to her and introduced himself "hello miss my name is Bora. What is your name?" "Lucy" answered the blonde. Bora then took her hand and kissed it in a courteous which led to giggle from Lucy and a scowl from Natsu. In Natsu's subconcious he was saying'mine, don't get closer to her' Bora noticed Natsu's expression and smirked and said "Lucy, could you please do me the honor of accompanying me for lunch?" "sure why not" answered Lucy Natsu was infuriated and said " don't do it Luce". Lucy turned to Natsu and said "I can do whatever I want,don't be hypocritical" she then turned to Bora and said "don't mind him". "meet me behind the school gym." Said Bora.

Natsu was infuriated on how his wife ignored him in favour of Bora but his mind was telling him on how hypocritical he was. So the best way was to actually tell her of his true feelings and because he had heard Bora say to his friends "don't worry, I've got a new blonde play thing for you, she's so dumb that she fell for my charm." So during lunch time the principal said "ok brats since it's our tradition we will have a singing competition right now." In Natsu's mind it was the perfect thing to occur as he had something in mind. He asked to perform a special song for some one special person in which he was nervous before after looking at Lucy when he began singing

Natsu finished his song and looked straight to Lucy who was crying and ran on to the stage and gave him a kiss on the mouth said " I love you too Natsu".

A voice coughed behind them "am I interrupting something?" they turned and saw someone who made them exclaim "YOU?!".
