Here's the next chapter guys, enjoy :D

Also, last chapter I spelled Gero as Giro. This was a mistake due to me thinking of his name in Spanish. Sorry about that!

Chichi hummed happily as she bustled around her kitchen preparing dinner. With Goku, Sumiko and Gohan back in her life nothing could make the small woman feel terrible. As she set the final dish on the table Goku and Sumiko entered through the front door.

Wiping her hands on her apron Chichi met them and said, "It's about time you three got him, dinner is nearly done." Peering around her tall husband she continued, "Is Gohan outside? I cooked all your favorites."

With a wide grin Goku ran into the kitchen and immediately grabbed three rolls from a plate on the counter. Stuffing two of them in his mouth he said, "Coming back to life is great! I get to eat great food and now that Android 16 is back, I have something to train for!"

At the casual mention that there was a new android Chichi gasped and covered her mouth. Before she could question her husband, Sumiko stepped forward with a frown. Grabbing her own roll the young girl said sternly, "Dad, waking up the Android was a terrible thing. The world literally went to hell because of the last two."

As Sumiko bit into the roll, Goku shrugged. "It'll be alright; even if the android kills me all of you will be there to stop him! Besides," her father paused to grin widely, "You'll be able to train with me! It was kinda hard to do that while we were both dead and in different parts of Other Wor…OUCH!" The older man fell over as his wife banged him against the head with a frying pan.

Gritting her teeth together Chichi growled, "What. Did. You. DO!"

"It's not my fault," Goku pouted innocently. "It was an…" he paused, sniffed and exclaimed, "Is that turtle leg I smell?"

Knocking her husband's hand away from another dish Chichi yelled, "What is wrong with you? I JUST got all of you back and you go and throw yourself into another dangerous situation? Don't you care about this family at all?"

Sumiko bit her bottom lip when her father merely shrugged and whined about whether or not they could eat yet. Touching her mother on the arm she said hesitantly, "It…it was just…it was an accident Mom. Dad didn't mean to…"

Feeling as though her world were crumbling around her Chichi dropped the frying pan to the ground and replied bleakly, "It always is. You two can serve yourselves." Without waiting for a response she turned and fled the room.

"HYAH!" Kiwi kicked out, her foot grazing Vegeta's ribs before the Saiyan grabbed her leg and upended her. The young girl landed in an unceremonious heap on the ground and she groaned. "You do realize that I'm never going to land a decent hit on you; especially with my arm in a cast."

The Saiyan scowled as he watched her scramble awkwardly to her feet. Coldly he said, "Training with someone infinitely more powerful than yourself will increase your strength. When you finally enter battle with someone weak, you will destroy them."

Brushing dirt off her bottom Kiwi scowled and muttered, "Is that why you always pick a fight with," she paused to lower her pitch and say in a tone reminiscent of Vegeta, "Kakarrot?" she hid a grin as Vegeta's face turned a deep red and a vein in his forehead began to throb.

"HOW DARE YOU IMPLY THAT KAKARROT IS STRONGER THAN ME!" Vegeta powered up, creating a small crater and causing Kiwi to stumble backwards several steps. "I am the Prince of all Saiyans! I am stronger than that infernal third class warrior!" Still yelling he pointed at Kiwi. "You will run five hundred laps around the building!" He stormed off.

Kiwi groaned and walked up to Capsule Corps. Talking a deep breath she began to jog wishing she could go back to sleep. She and Gohan had been blissfully sleeping when Vegeta had come in and, after kicking Gohan out of the house, dragged her outside to train. Her thoughts turning to Gohan, Kiwi's cheeks heated up and she smiled. She had a feeling that soon, as far as he was concerned, things were going to move forward.

"Are you sure about this? You're my best student." Hercule watched in disappointment as his prize pupil packed the last of his belongings into a bag.

Pie shot his former master a smile. "It's thanks to your training that I can take this next step forward." The young man picked up his bag, gave his friend and master a bow before exiting the building.

Gohan had called him that morning to let him know what had occurred with Android 16 and his ultimatum, inviting Pie train with the rest of the Z fighters. Pie had leaped at the chance to train with Gohan and his friends. The side training he had been doing with Gohan over the past few months had begun to pay off and already Pie was stronger than everyone at the dojo. The prospect of reaching new heights thrilled him. Once outside the dojo, Pie stopped in surprise as he found Sumiko waiting for him inside a hovercar.

The young woman grinned at the look on his face and hopped out the vehicle, propping her hands on her hips. "It's about time you came out here," she teased. "Were you guys writing sonnets to each other?"

Pie turned pink and shook his head, unused to the teasing from the younger girl; despite the months that had passed the young man had barely had any one on one time with his friend's younger sister. "Ah…no…I was just…Where's Gohan?" he stammered out the words and fell silent when she laughed.

"Calm down Pie; Gohan was going to come meet you but things happened." Sumiko said with a smile. Without waiting she launched into a new conversation, "I'm excited you'll be training with us from now on. It'll be nice to have someone new to spar with." She motioned for Pie to toss his bag into the back of the hovercar.

As he did so the young man protested, "Well I, ah, don't know if I'll be anything thrilling…I'm only human."

Sumiko hopped into the driver's seat and rolled her eyes. "Don't sell yourself short Pie. A lot of my friends are human and they're really strong. Besides you've been training with Gohan diligently and you can definitely sense the improvement."

The unexpected praised caused Pie to blush and he climbed into the hover car. As the small girl started the machine he was brought back to reality. Frowning he asked, "Hey, aren't you too young to be driving this thing?"

"Too young?" Sumiko looked at him and with a smile that seemed too adult for her childish features she said, "Don't let appearances fool you Pie." She slammed her foot on the gas while at the same time pushing a button on the dash that activated the hover feature.

Unable to help it, Pie let out a startled cry as the hovercar shot up and forward through the air. He glared at Sumiko. "Hey! Take it easy!"

Sumiko shot another one of her grins at him and steered the hovercar in the direction of her home. "Relax, you'll get there in one piece."

By the time they arrived at the Son residence, Pie was no longer certain they had made it in one piece. Legs shaking the young man fell out of the hovercar in his attempt to exit and it took a moment for him to draw himself up again.

Bulma was seated in front of the computer she had in the lab when her very sweaty and filthy daughter dragged herself in, a glass of water in one hand. The scientist lifted an eyebrow. "How goes the training with your f…Vegeta?"

"I feel like I'm dead right now," Kiwi moaned as she plopped down into a chair and greedily gulped down half the glass. "He's completely ignoring the fact that my arm is broken."

Giving her daughter a sympathetic smile Bulma said, "Speaking of arms, I've been reading the data Gero compiled about the androids and it's amazing. I'm looking at the designs he had for his earlier models."

With a soft groan Kiwi pushed to her feet and walked over to her mother. Peering at the monitor she saw what her mother was talking about. "Wow, there's so much detail here we could probably build or own Android," Kiwi said completely impressed.

"Or we can figure out how to deactivate one." Bulma replied pointedly. "I've seen some mentions in these files of a type of inner stop button but I'll need more time to analyze the data."

Taking another sip of her water, Kiwi admitted, "That's what you and Grandpa did in the past. You guys made a control that was able to shut off the androids but it was, ah, destroyed before it could be used." At her mother's questioning look, Kiwi gave a brief rundown of how the past Krillin had developed feelings for the female android.

Bulma rolled her eyes. "Leave it to a man to mess up something so import…" her voice trailed off into silence before she whispered, "Oh Kami."

"What happened?" Kiwi demanded, peering at the screen.

Clearing her throat Bulma said weakly, "According to this Android 16 was modeled after Gero's son. Can you believe that? He was a soldier in the Red Ribbon Army. "

Kiwi pointed at a paragraph further down the screen. "Look, apparently he gave 16 the same goal to kill Goku but he made the android much gentler than 17 and 18. We could probably use that to our advantage. After all, the 16 in the past was helping us fight Cell."

"We still have six months," Bulma replied. "We'll figure out a way to keep the world from going to hell again."

"So where are we going?" Pie flew beside Gohan, the wind whipping his hair around. His friend had arrived shortly after Pie had to the Son residence and after a quick breakfast the two of them had immediately set out. A small smile touched the human man's lips; flying in the air without the use of a ship or hover car was exhilarating. Besides the sparring, Gohan had also been teaching him to control his chi and use it to fight and fly.

Gohan glanced at Pie as he replied, "We're going to Korin's tower. In all the excitement of coming back to life and having everyone around none of us thought to go check on him. Plus, it's been so long since we were there he should have tons of Senzu beans for us." At the curious expression on Pie's face he continued. "The Senzu beans have healing properties. They cure any injury."

Satisfied with the explanation Pie nodded and they continued on their way. A short hour later, the two of them arrived at the platform located at the top of the tower. Inside stood Korin, looking the same as always holding onto his customary cane. The small, white cat looked at Gohan and said mildly, "I was wondering when one of you would come round to see me. Welcome back."

Gohan laughed and swooped down to hug his friend. "It's good to see you again Korin! I'm glad to see that you kept out of trouble with the Androids."

"That's more than can be said for your father," Korin replied coyly as he stepped away from the overly friendly younger man. Turning towards Pie he asked, "Who's this?"

Pie gave a quick bow. "My name is Pie; I'm a friend of Gohan's."

Korin made a small harrumphing noise in the back of his throat. "Friend huh? I guess that means you're a fighter too?"

Suddenly feeling nervous Pie nodded. "Yes…sir."

There was a moment of silence as Korin turned away to look out the openings of the platform. "Do you know who I am?" Before Pie could answer Korin continued sternly, "Of course you don't! They don't teach you young kids anything of worth nowadays. I'm Korin the God of Martial Arts! If you want to get stronger then I'm willing to train you."

Surprised, Pie looked at Gohan who gave him an encouraging nod. Stepping forward Pie bowed once more. "It would be an honor to train beneath you."

"Great!" Korin said tapping his cane against the floor. "It's been years since I had a worthy apprentice. Here's the deal. I have sacred water that'll make you stronger if you drink it. The only catch is you have to climb up here to get it."

It took Pie a moment to realize what the cat meant and when it hit him, the young man's face turned pale. Climb up the tower? For a moment he hesitated but not wanting Gohan to think less of him, Pie nodded. "I'll do my best."

Trunks was a few miles outside of Capsule Corps training when he felt a familiar chi approaching. Pausing, he looked up and watched as Sumiko flew towards him and landed a few feet away. "I thought you would be training with your dad."

The young girl shrugged. "I have plenty of time to train with him. I just needed to talk to someone."

The look on Sumiko's face was pensive and Trunks felt a tingle of worry. "Well that's what I'm here for," he replied nodding over to a small group of trees. "It was time for me to take a break anyways."

"Do you remember when I told you a few months ago that I wanted more adventure and excitement?"

Trunks nodded as he sat down beside his friend and leaned his back against the tree. "Yeah I remember."

Sumiko sighed softly. "I think I don't want that anymore," she said finally. "Dad is really excited by the fact that he can fight an android but he…" her voice grew hoarse and she paused to clear it. "He didn't get killed by them. I don't want to die that way again."

Although he had only been a baby when the Androids had killed everyone, Trunks knew too well the story of Sumiko's death. Enraged by the death of her father and all the other Z Fighters, the young female had snuck out of her home to go and challenge the Androids. Gohan had tried to stop her but Sumiko had knocked him unconscious. When the young man had awoken his sister's chi was gone. With no way to pinpoint her location they had never been able to locate her body.

Without hesitating Trunks slid his arm around Sumiko's shoulders and gave her a hug. "Who said anything about dying?" he protested. "Granted no one's really been training but we're a lot smarter than we were back then. We'll defeat Android 16."

Leaning into him Sumiko asked bitterly, "And what about the Androids to come?" When Trunks looked at her in surprise she scoffed, "You really think after what we saw in the lab there won't be more androids? You're an idiot if that's what you think."

"If that's the truth then we have to tell everyone, even Gohan." Trunks replied.

There was a moment of silence. "You're right." Sumiko said quietly. "Gohan does deserve to know what could have happened to Videl…I just wanted to protect him."

"Well there's no time like the present," Trunks said as he got to his feet. Helping Sumiko up he continued, "The sooner we let everyone know the sooner we can really start training."

Kiwi was still in the lab when Gohan found her several hours later. Bulma had disappeared to go placate Vegeta and Kiwi had sat down and become absorbed in the work of Dr. Gero. As she took notes for her arm project she also kept an out for hints of what the person who had taken over his work had planned.

"Are those the files you gathered from Dr. Gero's lab?" Gohan's voice startled Kiwi and she jumped.

With a wince at her broken arm, Kiwi turned the chair around and glared at the handsome Saiyan. "You could have given me some warning!" Relaxing slightly she nodded. "Yeah, I'm trying to see if I can find out what our new 'friend' has planned for us."

"Well whatever it is can't be good," Gohan replied dryly. "It never is." There was a brief moment of awkward silence. "I, uh, brought something for you."

The young woman's eyes lit up. "Really? What'd you bring?"

From around his waist Gohan detached a small bag and held it out to her. Kiwi opened it curiously and gasped when she realized it was filled with Senzu beans. "Kami! I can't believe there are Senzu beans!"

Pleased Gohan told her, "I went to see Korin today and he gave them to me. And that's not all, there are more since it's been such a long time that any of us have gone to visit…with being dead and all."

Taking one of the beans out, Kiwi closed the bag and handed it back to Gohan. Grinning at him she popped the small green bean in her mouth. While palpable, the Senzu's were generally not pleasant tasting and Kiwi made a face as she chewed the bean and swallowed. Almost immediately, the aches in her arm went away and she found herself able to move it.

"I can't believe my arm isn't broken anymore!" Kiwi cried out as she jumped to her feet and, once she pulled the cast off, threw a few experimental punches. The Senzu bean had done more than heal her arm, it had taken away all her tiredness, and any bruises or scrapes suffered from the previous days misadventures. She wasn't even hungry anymore. Feeling happier than she could imagine, Kiwi threw her arms around Gohan and hugged him tight. "Thank you Gohan. It was terrible having my arm in one position." She felt his arm slide around her waist and a bubble of joy welled up in her.

Pulling back slightly, Kiwi looked up Gohan and admitted, "Speaking of arms, I was actually going to make you one. I know you don't want to wish for yours back but that doesn't me…" the words stopped when Gohan's mouth touched hers.

Kiwi froze, unable to believe that Gohan was truly kissing her. It wasn't until his hand brushed against her neck that she let herself melt against him. Closing her eyes Kiwi gripped the front of Gohan's gi and allowed herself to kiss him back. The moment might have gone on forever if a soft gasp in the doorway of the lab interrupted them.

The two of them sprang apart and turned to see a red faced Sumiko and Trunks standing in the doorway.

Sumiko rubbed the back of her head, looking every inch like her father as she said sheepishly, "Ah, Sorry…we were…um…looking for Gohan but we can come back later if…?" her voice trailed off.

Blushing Kiwi shook her head. "Uh, no…now's a good time. Right Gohan?"

"Right," replied the equally red Saiyan. "What'd you guys need."

Trunks hesitated and Kiwi felt the high she was on from Gohan's kiss fade away. "What is it?" she demanded. "What happened?"

Before her brother couple reply Sumiko motioned for Gohan. "It's nothing the small girl," replied with a wave of her hand. "I just need to talk to my brother."

As she and Gohan disappeared from the lab Kiwi crossed her arms and glared at Trunks. "What's going on Trunks."

Her older brother sighed looking older than his 23 years. "We're telling Gohan what happened with…Videl. We think that whoever it is is creating even more androids and we need to be prepared if that time comes." He paused to reach out and touch her newly healed arm. "I'm sorry if this messes up what just, ahem, happened."

A cold feeling settled over Kiwi as she focused not on her brothers words, but on the feeling of Gohan's chi spiking dramatically and moving away from Capsule Corps.
