Chapter 9
After Andria was calmed down they both exited the locker room and going out to the hall where Scott was helping Jean through the hallway. "Scott, what happened?!" Andria asked.
"Jean used Cerebro."
"What?!" she jogged over to them "Are you nuts?"
"I found out where Magneeto's going." Jean answered.
"Where?" Logan asked.
"Let's get to the War room, we'll talk about it there." Scott answered as Jean regained her strength and walked towards the room with Scott, Logan, and Andria at her heels.
Andria looked at Jean sending her a mental message 'Don't start to think this is getting you out of a lecture.'
'I know, Scott said the same thing.'
'You know what could've happened to you?!'
'Well it didn't that's gotta count for something.'
Andria sighed and continued walking. When the reached the War room Storm was already there standing in front of the Holotable, Andria stood between her and Logan with Scott and Jean on the other side.
"Magneto is here." Scott started as the metal on the table domed into the Statue of Liberty "Liberty island. Now presumably, his objective is to mutate the world leaders at the U.N. summit on Ellis island."
"Magneto doesn't know his machine kills." Andria spoke
"And judging from what the Professor saw if Magneto gave Rogue enough power…" Storm added.
"He could wipe out everyone in New York City." Jean also added.
Scott leaned onto the tables edge "Alright, we can insert here at the George Washington Bridge, come around the bank just off of Manhattan, and we land on the far side of liberty island here."
"What about harbor patrol? Radar?" Logan asked.
"If they have anything that can pick up our jet, they deserve to catch us."

They all sat in the Black Bird with Scott and Storm up front, Logan and Jean behind them and Andria behind Jean. Logan was having obvious trouble getting used to his new suit. "You actually go outside in these things?" he asked gruffly.
"Well, what would you prefer, yellow spandex?" Scott answered causing his sister to let out a small giggle.
Logan looked back at her, she looked the same as before but now had a com link in her right ear, a choker necklace with a silver circle with an "X" in the middle, and a sheathed Katana laying across her lap. "Hey, how come yours is different?"
"Because, I actually took the time to make mine."
"Woah."
The engines were going now and the jet shook as it was lifted out of the hanger and into the air. Andria watched as Logan continued getting comfortable with his suit and and smiled as he suddenly released his claws through the leather of his gloves. The flight there was silent, Andria spent most of it starring at the sword in her lap, before they knew it Scott announced "Okay there's the bridge I'm taking her down." They all felt the jet lower and straighten out as it was about to hit the water, Scott glanced at Storm "Storm, some cover please." and they watched as she set a thick fog over the water and Scott gave the jet a bumpy landing. "Sorry." Scott said
"You call that a landing." Logan added
"Andria."
"I'm on it." she spoke as she left her seat and waited for the ramp to lower and going outside.
"Wait, where's she goin'?" Logan asked.
"She's checking to see if Magneto posted any of his goons outside." Scott answered
"Ain't that a bit dangerous for her to be by herself."
"She's a big girl besides we're right here is she needs us."
They were watching her as she walked around, alert as ever, steping quietly and cautiously with a hand on the handle of her Katana as she held it to her side. After sniffing the air a couple of times she found no fresh scents where they were and looked back to the jet giving Scott a thumbs up waiting for them to exit the jet and join her on the shore. They all gathered in front of the statue seeing it have been given a new torch to hold.
"The torch." Scott confirmed.
They all walked inside passing by an empty guards station and passing under a metal detector and before she passed under it Andria passed Scott her Katana on the side. Logan passed under it after her immediately setting off the alarm causing everyone to look at him as he destroyed it, he then looked at Scott and flipped him off with his middle metal claw. Andria giggled a bit then proceeded to walk ahead. When they reached the center of the room both Logan and Andria stopped and sniffed the air.
"There's someone here." Logan stated
"Where?" Scott asked
"I don't know keep yer eye open." with that he walked off trying to follow the scent.
"Logan." he disappeared behind a model of the statues face "Damn it."
Meanwhile Andria could smell the scent coming closer and went into Kitsune mode taking a defensive position and her pupils becoming slits. The came even closer when Logan appeared again from behind a beam.
"Anything?" Scott asked him.
"I know there's somebody here I just can't see 'em."
Andria finally realized that the man in front of her was not Logan but was actually Mystique. She quickly unseated her blade intending to strike when the real Logan suddenly tackled the fake one to the ground rolling them into a room with a giant metal door. Scott was about to shoot one of them when they both yelled "Wait!" and Mystique slashed the cable holding the door back making it slam shut.
"Logan!" Kitsune yelled
"Alright back up!"Scott commanded "Back up" intending to blow the door off, when suddenly Toad came to of nowhere knocking Scott, Jean, and Storm out of the way. Kitsune was about to slice him when he suddenly grabbed her blade with his tongue flinging it from her grasp then turned to Jean as she rose. "Kitsune go, I've got this."
"You sure?"
"Yeah, go help Logan."
Kitsune grabbed her Katana putting it back in it's sheath she turned into mouse and slid under the door. She quickly picked up the scent and followed it around the corner and found Logan and Mystique fighting, she noticed how the blue woman's fighting style was very light and consisted of a lot of jumping around just like her own. In the mist of their battle the woman kicked Logan in the balls causing Kitsune to let out a sharp hiss and was prepared to tackle her to the ground, but she saw the look on Logan's face and decided not to. He was pissed and the blue woman knew it as she threw a chain to wrap around his claws, Kitsune quickly leaped forward slashing through the blades in one slice then placing her weapon into it's sheath. She looked back at the blue woman and giving her a cocky grin and the two engaged in battle both hitting, punching, and kicking at all critical points, Mystique finally got the upper hand as she hit Kitsune multiple times in the shoulder and chest then round house kicking her out of the way to fight Logan once again.
Logan was already pissed seeing what the blue woman had done Kit only pissed him off even more. He charged at her and flung her face first into a chain-linked gate then quickly dodged his next attack, making him miss her and slice through the small gates hinges. Mystique picked up the door and used it to push Logan away and tried to do it once again only to have the gate sliced in two with Logan's claws coming towards her at full speed, she grabbed his wrist at the last second kicking him away then using him to do a backflip onto some near by crates. Logan charged at her again but she kicked him in the face and used the pipe-work next to her to climb up the wall and escape.
When Logan came back to his senses he turned as he heard a small groan coming from the half-conscious girl behind him, he quickly got to his feet and went to her then kneeled next to the violet-eyed girl. "Kit?" he asked trying to see if she was ok "Kit ya' alright."
The girl opened her violet eyes looking up at the man hovering over her and giving him a slight smirk "Yeah, I'm alright." she sat up with some help from Logan, "Geez, I'm gonna be black and blue for few months though."
Logan let out a light chuckle then became serious once again "C'mon we better get out of here."
"Alright." she turned into a red fox and Logan lifted her into his arms careful not to put any pressure on her chest and shoulders and carried her out in to another hall way much like the one they had been in before. Logan soon realized this wasn't the right room and was about to turn back but stopped when he smelled a certain scent and moved Kitsune up onto his shoulders.
'Logan, what's…' she caught a the scent in the air and let out vicious growl.
'Mystique…, you know she's going to disguise herself as one of the others right?'
'I know Kit, but she can't disguise her scent.'
As if on cue a Mystique smelling Storm walked out behind them "Logan, is that you?" she asked in storm's sweet voice and Logan shushed and started sniffing around acting like he was trying to pinpoint the scent then saying "The other one ain't far away."
She took a few steps closer to them "Come on, we have to regroup."
"I know, but there's a problem." he quickly unleashed his claws and buried them into her middle "Yer not a part of the group." he pulled his claws out of her as she turned back into her original form and presumably died on the floor.

After all the fighting the rest of the x-men had endured Scott thought it best to find his sister and Logan, but just as they turned the corner they found Logan stepping through the doorway he had been thrown into. Scott became alert putting his hand up to his eyepiece "Hey, hey." Logan said quickly so Scott wouldn't accidentally shoot the violet-eyed girl behind him "It's me."
"Prove it."
"You're a dick."
"Okay, now where's my sister."
Andria quickly came out from behind Logan "Here I am!" making her brother drop his hand to his side.
"Hey." they heard a soft voice say making them all look up to see Storm.
Andria let out a breath she didn't know she was holding 'Good, everyone's okay.'
"Alright let's go." Scott commanded as they found a set of stairs they all guessed led to the torch or at least somewhere high enough to reach it. When the reached the top they found themselves standing in the head with a gaping hole in the side of it. They stood looking up at the torch till Logan said "Everybody get out go here."
"What is it?" Storm asked
"I can't move." He suddenly turned stiffly and was then thrown it to the wall next to them.
"Logan!" Andria shouted trying to get to him but was caught around the ankles by some metal and was pinned to the ceiling with pieces of metal around her wrists throat and middle leaving her completely immobile and unable the shift. She watched helplessly as her brother and friends were pinned to the walls as well. She soon saw Magneto lower himself in to the room and felt the uncontrollable urge to rip his throat out. "Ah, my brothers." he said to all of them as if he were a god of some "Welcome. and you." he said turning towards Logan "Let's point those claws of yours in a safer direction." He lifted his hand making Logan cross his arm with his knuckles pointing at his chest, he turned towards Kitsune noting the katana still clutched tightly in her hand taking hold of it and pulling it away from her "And, I don't think you'll be needing this".
Kitsune growled loudly "Why don't you stick it where the sun don't shine, you god awful son of a bitch!"
Suddenly Sabertooth jumped into the room walking over towards Scott and Jean, "You'd better close your eyes." Magneto told him as his goon took away Scott's visor.
"Storm, fry him." Scott commanded
"Oh yes." Magneto answered "A bolt of lightning into a huge copper conductor, I thought you lived at a school." he placed his hand up to his com link "Mystique…Mystique?"
"I've seen Senator Kelly." Jean Spoke up
"So…the good senator survived his fall…and the swift to shore, he's becoming even more powerful than I imagined."
"He's dead."
"It's true." Storm spoke "I saw him die, like those people down there will die."
Magneto looked at her sinisterly "Are you sure you saw what you saw?" he suddenly backed up to the middle of the room seeming frustrated "Why do none of you understand what I'm trying to do?, THose people down there control our fate and the fate of every other mutant." everyone just gave him hateful glares "Well, their fate will soon be ours."
Rogue's voice suddenly rang out above them "Help! Please help me!"
"Rouge!" Andria shouted struggling to get out of her restraints when Logan noticed a sudden change in her, her eyes had become a bright red and her canines became sharp fangs as well as her fingernails becoming sharp claws.
"Now, now Kitsune." Magneto spoke as he brought a syringe out and suddenly stabbed her in the thigh with it "We don't want you running wild now do we?"
As soon as the transformation had started it disappeared and Kitsune lowered her head in a silent defeat. "Kit!" Logan shouted seeing this than turned a death glare onto Magneto "Your so full of shit!" he yelled "If you were really so righteous, it'd be you in that thing."
"Help! Somebody help me!" Rouge'c voice rang out again, and Magneto lifted himself out of the room to the torch as firework's exploded behind him "Somebody please help me!"
Suddenly Logan got a crazy idea he knew Kit would get him for it later but it had to be done, knowing it was going to hurt Logan let out a fierce yell and pierced himself through the chest. His plan was a success he had cut through the metal holding him in place dropping him to the floor. He could feel Kit's fear pulsing through him as he closed his eyes to briefly recover during that time Sabertooth had stalked over to him grabbing him by the scruff of his neck only to be run-through by Wolverine's claws and Andria watched as Sabertooth threw him out of the room and onto the roof and closed her eyes in weariness "Logan…"

When Andria awoke again She found herself able to move her neck freely and that her back wasn't flesh against the cool metal and soon realized that the metal that had kept her still was gone but her wrists and ankles were still bound, she looked down and saw Logan there preparing to cut her wrists free while Scott was working on her ankles "Logan?" She asked weakly
"Right here Kit, listen when I cut yer wrists free I want you to grabby shoulders so ya don't break yer ankles."
She nodded in understanding and he quickly cut her the metal binding her wrists and she quickly grabbed onto his shoulders as she felt Scott finally blow the metal on her ankles away and catching her feet as both he and Logan lowered her onto the ground
"Ya alright Kit?"
"Yeah, I'm good." She looked past him and could see Rogue in Magneto's machine "Rogue."
Logan looked back and stood up walking towards the gaping hole in the wall "We gotta get her out of there, Cyclops can you hit it?"
"The rings are moving too fast."
"Just shoot it!"
"I could kill her!" he looked back to Storm "Storm can you get me up there?"
"I can't control it like that, you could fly right over the torch."
"Then let me go." Logan spoke causing everyone to look at him "If I don't make it at least ya' can still blast the damn thing."
Scott thought a moment "All right, do it." He looked back at Jean "Jean, use your power, try to steady him." he walked over to Andria and crouched down next to her lifting her upper body holding her in a tight embrace.
"Hang onto something." Storm warned and began using her powers they watched as he struggled to grab onto the machine but he soon got a hold and a white orb of energy began to spread Andria couldn't see what was happening but she could tell Magneto was trying to stop him. Scott stood leaving Andria to sit on the floor she knew he was going to shoot.
"Scott wait." Jean shouted
"I have to!"
"Just wait!" Andria shouted
"I have a shot," He announced "I'm taking it." he released a blast from his visor hitting Magneto square in the back giving Logan a chance to destroy the rings spinning around him and Rogue. All the x-men let out shaky sighs of relief. After a few moments when Logan hadn't come down yet Andria caught a faint scent in the air 'What's that?' she took a mother sniff and a sudden sense of horror shot through her. The scent was blood and large amount at that, but Andria knew it wasn't just anyone's blood "Logan!" she shot up from her spot on the floor she turned into a hawk and flew up to the top. What she saw next made her feel faint Logan was lying in a pool of his own blood Rouge was sitting in front of him with her eyes wide and tears streaming down her face Andria returned to her true form and fell to her knees next to Logan's head and placing a hand on the side of his face, "No, no Logan come on, get up, please." She could see that he was still slightly conscious. He slowly lifted his hand and placed it on the side of her face "Kit…"
"Hang in there Logan!" his eyes closed slowly and his hand dropped and she caught it in hers, Andria closed her eyes tight hoping it was all just a bad dream and when she opened them and still saw the sight before her she couldn't hold back anymore "LOGAN!"
