Chapter 9

Furihata

Nijimura and I flew behind Haizaki. He was leading the way to a beautiful, yet hidden waterfall. I watched Nijimura blush every time Haizaki said something to him. I couldn't help but smile, because for who knows how long, I have been rooting for them. I continue to watch from behind until Nijimura says something, to cause Haizaki turn beet red. I chuckled. It's been so long since I've seen my best friends. And I also love how well they get along. They were made for each other. Then a certain someone pops into my head.

"NO NO NO NO NO" I unconsciously shouted, shaking my heading from side to side. I continued to fly and crashed into the backs of my two friends. That's when I realized that I actually said that aloud. They stared at me like there was something wrong with me for a moment, but then after seeing my expression, they became worried.

Nijimura hugged me and then whispered, "It's okay. You sure do love him. Just think about something else for now. You guys need some space. That's the reason why you're here right?"

I nodded, tears welling up in my eyes. As much as I wanted some space to think properly, what I wanted more was to be cuddled up in my beloved's arms. I can't take being away from him for any longer. It felt like there was strings attached to me, preventing from going further. The strings were what connected me to him. If I go any further, the strings would break. And then I would no longer be connected to Akashi... My Akashi... As much as I hated him for caring about his ex-lover more than me, I still loved him so much. I was jealous, but also heartbroken. For all I know, Akashi could be getting back together with his ex-lover now that I'm gone.

I shook my head from side to side. I don't think he would betray me like that. He said he loves me. And I trust him enough to believe him. A smile grew on my face when I thought about what he was probably doing right now. "He's probably looking for me...Searching from nook and cranny to find me..." I murmured.

Nijimura and Haizaki, who were both watching Furihata trying to think things through finally smiled when they heard what he murmured. They were happy for him. As much as they missed hanging out with their best friend, they knew that being with his beloved was the best for him.

"You should go back then..." Haizaki said, with a sad expression on his face. He knew that this was the best for Furihata, but he still couldn't help but be sad because it would be another long while before he gets to see his close friend. Furihata looks up at his two best friends and smiles, not noticing Haizaki's sad expression. Furihata jumped on his best friends and couldn't help himself from crying from happiness. "You guys are the best! You understand me so well!" Furihata shouted.

"We're letting you go this time, but next time you run away because he has mistreated you, we will never let you go back to him. If he ever mistreats you again, he'll never see the light of day again." Nijimura said to Furihata.

Furihata's eyes grew wide from fear and Nijimura chuckled. "Furi, we care deeply about you, and if he ever breaks your heart again, we don't know what we would do to him." Haizaki mentioned.

"Before you go...take this" Nijimura handed Furihata a little red box. "Don't unwrap it until you need it."

"How will I know when I need it?" Furihata put the box in his jacket pocket.

"You will know," Haizaki said.

"Now go...go back to your beloved." Nijimura shouted, pushing Furihata back the direction they came from. Furihata hesitantly flew away. "Wait!" He heard the cries of both his friends. "Don't forget to contact us! We were so sad and worried about you since you never contacted!"

"I will!" Furihata shouted and flew as fast as he possibly could back to his beloved. He was so happy that nobody could bring down his mood.

Akashi

Where is he!? No matter what he did, he could not find Furihata anywhere! Akashi felt like he was going crazy.

He could not sleep without his beloved. He didn't feel the need to eat. This is when he realized that he was nothing without his precious Furihata. Furihata changed him completely.

Lying on their bed, I stared up at the ceiling. I could imagine all the happy moments I spent with my precious Furihata. Reliving the happy memories with Furihata made me smile. Reliving the memories made my whole being feel alive again. All the memories slowly whizzed by until it came to the last time I saw my beloved before he left. I frowned. Why was I so stupid. How could I not tell that there was something wrong with him. I left him in this room crying. Crying his heart out. How was I stupid enough to not notice!? How...Why...

Why Furi. Why did you leave? Do you no longer need me? Cause I need you. You're the one that completes me. Without you...I'm nothing. So I wish you would come back. Come back to me. I don't want you...I need you. Now that you're gone, I am going to die alone, because I want and need nobody like I need you... Furi...Please...I know my mistake...I need you. And with that, I cried myself to sleep.

Furihata

I didn't care how dark it was. I could see the stars twinkling in the sky. My only goal was to get back to my Akashi. That's all I want. That's all I need to do. I need him. I continued flying until I could see our room ahead of me. I jumped for joy and flew faster. I couldn't wait to see my beloved. To be held my him.

I could see our window right in front of me, yet I couldn't move. I struggled from the grasps of something...someone. Looking back...I couldn't believe what I saw. My eyes grew wide with fear. No No No no no. I was so close! I need to get away from these evil hands. I need to get to my Akashi. I continued to struggle, trying to get away.

"Let's make a deal," my captor hissed behind me. "I'll let you talk to your beloved, but you have to come right back to me...If you don't...your lover is DEAD!" Tears welled up in Furihata's eyes. As scared as he was, what scared him the most was the idea of Akashi dying for him not obeying. "Is it a deal?"

"Y-yes" Furihata murmured. With that, his captor let him fly towards his beloved. Climbing in through the open window, he could see Akashi sleeping. He looked horrible. He looked malnourished and there were bags under his eyes. Tear tracks stained his face. Furihata couldn't help himself but feel happy. Happy that his beloved could not live without him. Then he heard a hiss, and snapped back into reality. He had to hurry. He didn't anything to happen to his beloved.

He climbed into bed and snuggled into his boyfriend's arms.

Akashi

I woke up feeling something warm against my side. My eyes grew wide open when I saw my precious lying next to me.

"Furi, is that you?" I whispered. And he nodded. I hugged him and smiled. "You got me worried sick. I love you. I love you. I am never letting you out of my sight again. Never!" Akashi looked at Furihata's face again. Furihata was smiling, until Akashi said that he would never let him out of his sight again...Furihata felt like he was going to betray Akashi. He had to leave even though Akashi said that he would never let him go. He didn't want Akashi to blame himself if Furihata left again.

"I love you too, Akashi. I cannot live without you." Furihata murmured into his boyfriend's neck. "Just sleep. I'm here..." With those words from my beloved, I fell asleep, with a smile upon my face.

Normal POV

Furihata waited until Akashi fell asleep tp climb out of bed. He quickly wrote a note, leaving a hint of where he was going to go. Furihata knew that Akashi would be able to figure out where he will be. Furihata knew that Akashi was smart enough to figure things out. He trusted his Akashi to find him again.

Dear Akashi,

I had to go again. Please don't blame yourself...

Please...try to find me...I need you to.

I know you're clever enough to understand this clue...

The clue is inside the wrapped box.

Once you figure it out, please meet Haizaki and Nijimura. They're precious friends of mine.

They already know that you'll be coming.
