Chapter 10: Are You Alone?

I would like to thank ShadowDragonGhost13 for suggesting this chapter.

It was a little past ten o' clock at night.

Bia happened to be the only one home, her family was currently at a soccer match to support Tiago.

She informed her parents that she needed to cram for an upcoming test which was Monday, really she just didn't want to go to see two teams kick a ball back and forth, to be honest, she hated sports.

She enjoyed the peace and quiet that she had while she sat in her room.

Her beak was currently buried in a book about animal species in the Amazon Rainforest.

She then turned the page and was shocked by what she saw.

Over the page was the word 'Are' written in red marker.

She immediately knew who had done this and she was furious.

"Oh, Tiago! You are so dead!" Bia shouted to no one in particular.

She knew this was like something her idiot brother would do, she bent the top corner of the page as a bookmark.

She picked up the book and walked to her bookshelf which she sat the damaged book onto the top of it.

As she turned around to sit back on her bed, she heard a thump, she turned around and saw a book had fallen from the bookshelf, the book had opened to a page and on the page was another word written onto the page, this time, the word was 'You'.

"Tiago! Your ass is mine." Bia growled with a gritted beak.

She walked to the book and picked it up, she angrily tossed the book onto her bed, she looked to the doorway and walked out to the bathroom.

After using the bathroom she walked back to her room and paused, she was frozen in confusion and fright, she felt her heart race and after a moment of stiffness she slowly stepped into the room.

On her bed sat both of the books, they were stacked perfectly!

She was sure she had left one book on the bookshelf while the other was left on her bed, those books were now stacked on her bed!

No one else was in the entire home.

She walked to her bed and slowly picked up the top book.

Another book from her bookshelf fell to the ground behind her which made her almost jump out of her skin.

She quickly turned around and looked at the book, just like the last it lied open to the pages and just like the last two a word was written on the printed pages.

She picked it up, this time, the word which was written in read "Alone?"

'Are. You. Alone?' 'Are you alone?' 'Are you alone?'

Bia began to breathe heavily as her heart raced.

Behind her, she heard the faint sound of her bedroom door slowly creaking open.

So if there's any lesson this story teaches its stick with a Kindle.

Hope you all enjoyed!
