The next day the small family went home to Transylvania. Once home a week later, everyone was happy. Especially Anna and Tera.
Anna: [Gets out of the carriage smiling and takes a deep breath of fresh air] It's good to be home.
Tera: [Gets out and runs inside]
Gabriel: [Steps out with the luggage and chuckles]
Anna: [Turns and smiles before walking inside after their daughter]
Five months and two days later, Anna has gone into labor.
Anna: GABRIEL, it's time!
Gabriel: [Runs in the room and looks at her] What's wrong?
Anna: The baby's coming. [Panting]
Gabriel: [Lays her on the bed and takes her hand] Let me cable the doctor and get you a cold, wet towel.
Anna: [Nods breathing heavily]
Gabriel: [Quickly cables the doctor who comes rushing to the manor and gets a cold, wet towel to wipe Anna's face of sweat] How are the contractions, Hunny?
Anna: Painful.
Gabriel: I meant the distance between them.
Anna: Three minutes.
Doctor: She'll be ready to push in about an hour. She's fully effaced and eight and half centimeters dilated.
An hour has passed and Anna's screaming made Tera run in the room.
Tera: What's going on, Daddy?
Gabriel: Mommy's about to have the baby. You're about to be a big sister.
Anna: AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!
Doctor: PUSH, ANNA! You're doing great.
Anna: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
Doctor: Head's crowning. PUSH!
Anna: It BURNS!
Doctor: I know, but you have to push. It's the only way it'll stop.
Anna: [Pushes] AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH H!
Doctor: Head's out. Just breathe.
Anna: [Pants in pain] I can't do this.
Gabriel: Yes you can. You're almost done. Few more pushes.
Doctor: PUSH, Anna!
Anna: AAAAAHHHHH!
Doctor: BEAUTIFUL. One more.
Anna: [Pushes and hears a piercing cry fill the room]
Doctor: It's a boy.
Anna: A boy?
Gabriel: A boy. We have a son. You did BEAUTIFULLY, My Darling.
Doctor: [Hands the scissors to Gabriel who cuts the cord then cleans and wraps the baby and hands him to Anna who's crying happy tears]
Anna: [Looks at her blue bundle and smiles] Hi. Hi, Baby Boy. I'm your mommy.
Baby: [Opens his eyes and looks at her]
Anna: I think I'll call you Velkan. Velkan Conner Valerious Van Helsing.
Velkan: [Smiles and coos]
Anna: [Hands him to her husband and daughter]
Tera: Hi, Velkan. I'm your big sister Tera. And this is Daddy. [Points to Gabriel]
Velkan: [Smiles]
Gabriel: Hi there, Little Man. Happy Birthday.
Velkan: [Coos looking at him]
Gabriel: [Hands him back to Anna who feeds him and burps him] I love you, Anna.
Anna: [Kisses him] I love you too. [Kisses Tera's forehead] And I love you.
Tera: Love you too, Mommy.
