Well here we are again, one week later and we have a new chapter ready to go

Anyway on with the story

Chapter 10

It had been over ten hours since Konohamaru and and Kankuro left the village, they were making good time and Kankuro had noticed that Konohamaru was starting to slow down a bit, he also had sweat beads just dripping down from his forehead "Lets stop and take a break, we are just a few hours away form the border now" Kankuro suggested

Konohamaru was exhausted, he did not remember the last time he actually had slept since he had been on patrol for over twenty four hours before this incident occurred "No, I am fine. I can rest all I want once we are back safely home" Konohamaru responded

"At least allow me to carry Yuki, you look like hell man" Kankuro offered

Konohamaru held Yuki even tighter "No, I will never let go of her ever again" He quickly answered back

Konohamaru suddenly tripped over causing Kankuro to quickly catch him before he could fall "Man, I am not going to force you to do anything, but you are barely able to stand on your feet right now" He stated as he let go of Konohamaru once he was steady once again

Konohamaru let out a sigh, he knew that Kankuro was right, he just wanted to get her home and out of harms way as fast as he could, but by ignoring the fact that he was running on fumes could end up harming Yuki "Alright, let's stop to rest for a bit" He said finally giving in as they found a spot to stop and rest

Konohamaru laid Yuki down with her back against a rock large enough to support her as he sat on top of it, he opened up his water canteen and took a big gulp of water as his throat was just about dry, he then bent down to check up on Yuki "She must have been exhausted as well" Kankuro commented as Konohamaru opened her mouth and forced some water down slowly and carefully. He then wiped the sweat off of her forehead with his sleeve, there wasn't as much sweat on her then on him, the clothing she was wearing seemed to be doing a good job at combating the heat. He was really grateful to that nurse for the help, he was going to find a way of repaying her for her kindness

They rested up for about fifteen minutes, although he was still very much tired he knew that safety was just a few hours away. He picked Yuki back up onto his back and held onto her tightly once more "Ready to move out again I see, alright then let's go" Kankuro said as they continued on their way towards the border

Meanwhile Naruto was slowly waking up, he could feel something warm near him, as his eyes opened he could see some flames raging next to him. He quickly got back to his feet in shock, he looked around to try and figure out where he was. he recognized some of the buildings that were engulfed in flames, but it couldn't be. He quickly jumped onto a building to get a better view, and to his horror in the background he could see the Hokage Monument in ruins, Konoha was in flames "What happened!?" He screamed out

He looked around the streets, he could see countless bodies dead or dying, both civilians and Konoha ninjas. He quickly began to make his way towards his house, he had to find his family. Once he reached it, it was as he feared, the entire Namikazi estate was in flames and the door was already broken in as he rushed inside ignoring the flames. He found Saku laying on the floor of the living room, he rushed to her side and examined her. She had a kunai driven straight into her heart, he stilled tried to feel for a pulse but he could find none, tears began streaming down his face as he picked her up and held her tightly. He continued to search the rest of the house but could not find anyone else. He quickly exited the burning building while still carrying Saku in his arms.

He made his way towards the Fire Tower that was ironically in flames, many ninjas laid dead at the base of the building, they had obviously died trying to protect the final line of defense of Konoha. He made his way to his office where he found another horrific scene. Sakura laid dead on the ground with multiple blades coming out of her back, her arm was reaching out towards a young boy who had his arms and legs pinned against the wall by blades as well as a large sword sticking out from his chest

Naruto fell to his knees at the scene while still holding onto Saku "Saki… Sakura… How could this happen?!" He said as his heart broke seeing his beloved Sakura and son like this

He gently laid Saku next to Sakura as he then removed the blades pinning his son to the wall and laid him carefully down along his sister and mother, his heart was completely broken, shattered into pieces. A red aura suddenly erupted from his body as his eyes instantly turned red, his normally gentle smile replaced with hatred and anger as he let out a scream, a wave burst of energy erupted from his body strong enough to snuff out the flames near him, he suddenly heard some noise coming from a distance, it seemed to be coming from the evacuation tunnels "Could there be survivors?!" He thought to himself

He disappeared in an orange flash, as he neared the evacuation tunnels he was horrified once more, Itachi and Sasuke's bodies were decapitated and mutilated, he also saw Toshiro laying dead on the ground still clutching to his zanpakuto, these were three of the most powerful ninjas of all Konoha next to himself, and here they were all brutally murdered, he could hear fighting in the distance causing him to flash away once more

He arrived at the entrance of the caves that Konoha used to evacuate the civilians, there were many bodies laying on the ground of Konoha's last stand, bodies on the ground included Shikamaru, Ino, Kiba, Hinata only to name a few, but what he saw next shocked him even more. A man stood in front of a young girl, it looked like Naoto but it looked like she was engulfed in flames, however she didn't seem to be in pain or suffering from it, her eyes were red and the flames seemed to be emanating from her rather then burning her "That looks like the tailed mode… But I don't see any tails" He quickly thought to himself, however he didn't have any time to think. He quickly ran to her side, however she didn't react to his presence "Naoto, you have no idea how happy I am that you are alive!" He told her, however she did not respond

"You are the last of that bothersome Namikazi line, once you are dead there will be no one left to stop me" The man told her

Naoto was panting heavily, it was obvious that she was reaching her limit "Your going to pay for what you did to my family!" She screamed out in anger

"Naoto, I am here with you!" Naruto tried to get her attention by standing in front of her, but she simply walked straight through him "What the hell?!" He said not understanding what had just happened

Naoto was holding what seemed to be his Zanpakuto as she clashed with the man, this only added to his confusion as he grabbed his Zanpakuto from his back "How can there be two of them?!" He tried to communicate with the spirit but he got no response from Kami "What the hell is going on!" He said frustrated, nothing was making any sense, the battle raging only meters away from him grabbed his attention as Naoto kept up with the mans attacks, every move she made was with grace, there were no wasted movements, he didn't understand how she had gained so much power in so little time, was this really his Naoto?

However no mater how good Naoto was doing the man always seemed to be one step ahead of her, he found an opening in her defense and kicked her in the ribs sending her crashing to the ground, she quickly rolled back onto her feet and simultaneously made hand signs " Kage Bunshin no Jutsu!" She screams out as a shadow clone appeared next to her

"She has already figured out how to make shadow clones while using the Kyuubi's powers?" Naruto said once again surprised by his daughters skills

Both of them began gathering chakra in their hands as they ran in formation towards the man, Naruto tried to get a look at his face but it always seemed to be blurry for some reason, the energy that Naoto and her clone had gathered had formed a massive ball almost as big as herself " Dual Odama Rasengan!" She screamed out as both she and her clone thrust the massive balls of chakra at the man causing a massive explosion not unlike when fought against Ichigo all those years ago

The resulting explosion sent Naoto flying backwards slamming into the mountain behind her, instantly dispelling her clone. She dropped to the ground with her back against the rock as the red flames and aura around her body slowly began to fade away revealing massive injuries as blood ran down her face. She forced a smile as she was sitting down and looking at the sky "I did it… I finally beat him" she said "Mother, Saku, Saki and… Father… You can all rest now" She said while staring at the clouds, ignoring her injuries

"But I am here…" Naruto said still confused as he tried to touch her "Why was I able to touch Saku, Saki and Sakura but I cannot touch her?" suddenly he noticed that her smiling face is replaced with one of horror

"It can't be…." She said as she forced her battered body back to its feet, the red Aura and flames return but they were much dimmer then before, she had obviously put most of her chakra into her last move "How did you survive!" She said while bringing up her blade

With incredible speed the man thrusted his blade into Naoto's stomach causing her to scream in pain "That's right, suffer, suffer as you die Namikazi trash!" the man said as he slowly continued to apply pressure to cause as much pain as he could without instantly killing her. The flames slowly went out as she dropped her blade, the red aura began to fade away however she did not continue to scream as she looked up at the man with her eyes still red and smiled "What are you smiling at?" The man asked slightly annoyed, he wanted to hear her scream and beg for him to end it

"I will never submit to you" she said in defiance causing the man to amplify his efforts into causing her pain, blood began to drip from her mouth as the internal bleeding began to flow out of her, her red eyes suddenly vanished as they turned blue and any trace of the fox's aura disappeared "For as long as there is someone to defy you, the flames of hope will remain and you will never win" She said continuing to taunt him

The man threw her to the ground in frustration "Die like a dog Namikazi trash, I am going to snuff out the last remaining flames of this cursed world, I hope that you stay alive long enough to hear their screams" he said as he entered the cave leaving her behind to die

She forced her body onto her back so she could see the sky once again "Well Father… I failed, I will be joining you and Mother, Saku and Saki… I am sorry I couldn't live up to our name, I have brought shame to the Namikazis…" she said as she shut her eyes slowly shut

Naruto ran to her side as tears streamed down his face once again, this time when he tried to touch Naoto he was able to, he held her tightly as he rocked her back and forth "Baby girl, you have no idea how proud I am of you, if anyone has brought shame to the Namikazi name its me, please don't die Naoto, I love you so much, your all I have left…" He said as he continued to hold her

To his surprise she responded "I love you too father, I look forward to seeing you again…" were the last word she spoke before her body went limp and any signs of life left her body

"NOOOOOOO!" Naruto screamed out, they were all gone, his entire family killed, his friends, his village, for all he knew the entire country. He kissed her forehead softly as he laid her down gently "I swear to you that I will not rest until I have avenged you all!" he said as the red aura intensified

"By this point in time your already dead" A voice came from behind him

Naruto quickly got up with his blade in hand ready to attack, but he was shocked to see that it wasn't the man who had brutally murdered Naoto and who he also suspected did the same to the rest of his family, no this man had blonde hair, blue eyes and a white and black cloak that resembled his own "Who the hell are you?" He asked as he examined him from head to toe "Wait, Father?!" Naruto asked confused

"No, I am not your father, I am not able to tell you who I am, only know that I am a friend. What I have shown you today is a possible future" The white haired man explained

"What did you just say?" Naruto asked confused

"Everything that you have seen here today has yet to happen, this is a possible future that will happen in three years and currently has a big chance of happening if nothing is done" The man told him

"So you are saying that this can all be avoided? None of this is real?"

"That is correct" The man simply answered

"Tell me, how do I stop this from happening?" Naruto asked wanting to get straight to the point

"I cannot tell you, to be honest I shouldn't even be doing this, however I couldn't just stand by and do nothing" The man responded

"Can you at least tell me what happened to me in this possible future? You said I was already dead.." Naruto asked him

"I cannot give you any details other then to tell you that you will be killed by someone close to you"

"Is it Gaara?!" Naruto asked, he couldn't think of any one else that was close to him that he could ever picture backstabbing him

"I am sorry, I have already said too much. The only thing I can add is that everything is not what it seems" Naruto could tell that he was walking a fine line between what he could and could not reveal "One last thing, how is Kami? Is she treating you alright? She can be a handful sometimes" The man asked him

"Kami? How do you know about her?" Naruto asked confused, who was this man who seemed to know everything about him, and why did he look a lot like his father.

This caused the man to smile as he vanished along with everything else around him

Naruto slowly began to open his eyes, he heard a voice "Mom! He is awake!" as soon as his vision came into focus he saw the bright smile of Naoto who was on her knees next to his bed holding his hand

"NAOTO!" He said crying out her name as he pulled her onto him and held her tightly

"Dad… your choking me!" she said jokingly as Sakura ran into the makeshift room inside of the tent

"I am so happy that your alive" He said as he continued to hold onto her

"Dad, stop, I am fine. Its you that we were worried about!" She told him as he finally allowed her out of his grasp

"Only you would be worried about others after recovering from being poisoned" Sakura said as she hugged him

"Poisoned?" Naruto asked confused as he began to remember being stabbed by Temari

"Yeah, it was a strong poison that took me over an hour to completely purge from your system, it was really strong and potent, but you should be fine now" She explained to him

"What happened after I was attacked?" Naruto asked concerned

"We launched an immediate attack and forced the Sand back into wind territory, we suffered very few losses as they seemed to be disorganized, also Naoto played a huge part in pushing them back" Shikamaru explained as he was standing in the doorway, he figured he would leave out the part where she also risked her life by charging in alone and ignoring orders, she had been lectured enough by himself and Toshiro about it

Naruto smiled, after seeing what Naoto could be capable of in his vision he wasn't surprised, although the Naoto he saw was three years older then his own little girl, but he knew that she had great potential within her

Suddenly Ino ran into the room "Our scouts have spotted Konohamaru and Yuki, it looks like they are being escorted by Kankuro!"

Approaching the River and Sand borders Konohamaru was forcing his exhausted body to continue walking, not once allowing Kankuro to carry Yuki, not because he did not trust him, it was because he promised no one else was going to touch her until she was safe "Hey look, I think those are Konoha ninjas approaching" Kankuro pointed at a group of ninjas who were heading straight for them, they were being led by Toshiro

"What are they doing at the border?" Konohamaru asked

They suddenly surrounded Kankuro and pointed their weapons at him "We suggest you surrender and come with us peacefully" Toshiro ordered

End Chapter 10

And thus ends another chapter, Konohamaru and Yuki are finally safe, I really had fun writing that vision of the future, I don't know why but i seem to enjoy writing dark things, like Yuki's torture, hurm i wonder if that's a dark side of my psyche i should be worried about, nahhh i am sure its fine :P

Every review is really more motivation for me to continue going, I mean this story will get finished no matter what, however if there is so little support for it i may cut it shorter then i originally planned, or maybe this will be the last Bonds story, because I do have ideas for another story after this one, but if no one is interested it may never see the light of day :(
