Black Knight's (POV)
[Location: Back of Van Kleiss's castle]
When I saw Van Kleiss trying to shoot Rex, I saw red. Rex was mine to take out. I formed my whip and attacked him. I wanted to eliminate him as badly as I wanted to eliminate Rex. But then when I saw Rex escaping I knew we had to put our differences aside at least long enough to get Rex.
I made my own builds to jump in front of the two fleeing figures blocking there way. I made my energy whip.
"Say good-bye, Rex." I declared. I raised my whip to attack.
Two shots fired in front of me. I stopped and looked up.
"No!" I cursed vehemently. It was the Keep.

Six's (POV)
[Location: Back of Van Kleiss's castle]
I managed to get a shirken to cut through the vines. While Van Kleiss and Black Knight were distracted I freed myself and Rex. I had hoped that the two EVOs would continue to distract each other but no such luck. Van Kleiss caught sight of us and sent more vines after us. I managed to cut a path through them. But suddenly Black Knight appeared in front of us. Van Kleiss was to the back. It looked like we were trapped. Rex kept trying to form his builds but all he managed was to glow blue. My magna blades were still stuck to the castle wall. It looked pretty bleak. But as Black Knight came menacingly forward with her whip she was stopped in her tracks by a blast to her feet.
I looked up. The Keep along with several Scout Ships were in sight. The cavalry had arrived, finally. A Scout Ship landed and Holiday came out along with Bobo and Circe.
"Sorry, we're late." Holiday apologized. "We were attacked by the Abysus' defenses."
I nodded just glad they were there. I looked over at Rex who was embracing Circe. Young love.
"How nice. You've all come to watch Rex die." Black Knight sneered.
"Not today!" Bobo answered and blasted her with his lasers.
Black Knight easily deflected the shots and formed her energy cannon. We scattered as she blasted us.
Then I hear Rex scream. I turned to see that Van Kleiss had blasted him with his gun. His whole body glowed white.
"Rex!" I tried to get to him but vines shot from the ground. Holiday blasted the vines but they just grew back.
Shots came from the back of us. Black Knight was still there. I could hear Rex scream again. I gritted my teeth. I was helpless to get to Rex.

Van Kleiss's (POV)
[Location: Back of Van Kleiss's castle]
Black Knight and I had to call a truce since Rex was escaping. I need that nanite he has! With it nothing can stop me. Then even the Consortium would bow down to me!
As I watched Black Knight block their path of escape, I felt a disturbance in the Abysus.
Providence! I felt them. Time is running out. I grabbed my gun and ran to extract the Omega-1 nanite.
Black Knight was about to finish off Rex but Providence interfered. Good! I need Rex alive. I waited for a clear shot. As they scattered to avoid Black Knight's energy cannon, I got my shot. I grinned as I fired off the gun. I hear Rex's cry of anguish. Music to my ears. I watched as all the lovely nanites were ripped from Rex's body. But I was waiting for that one special one. I could almost feel it.

Rex's (POV)
[Location: Back of Van Kleiss's castle]
When Van Kleiss shot me with the gun, I felt my whole body on fire. I heard myself scream. The pain was intense. I could feel my nanites being pulled out including the Omega-1. But then something curious happened. Familiar blue lines started on my hand and began spreading through my entire body. The white that enveloped me started to glow blue and it spread to the gun. When it reached the gun it shattered. Boy, you should have seen the shock on Van Kleiss's face.
I'm guessing that the Omega-1 realized that I was in danger and activated because suddenly a new build burst from my hand. It was a large blue mallet-like weapon. It extended and I whacked Van Kleiss so hard his grandparents should have felt it. He flew back and hit the wall of the castle.
I turned and knocked over the vines.
"That's new." Six blinked at me.
"Oh yeah! I'm back!" I was ecstatic. I saw Black Knight fire her energy cannon at me. I used my hammer slammer, I just thought of the name, to bat the blast away. I then extended it and smacked her. She flew and landed next to Van Kleiss. I sighed in relief. The nightmare was over.
Circe ran and hugged me.
"Rex, are you all right?" She asked worried.
"Fine, now that you're here." I smiled at her. She smiled back. A sudden chill ran through me. I looked up.
"No!" I watched as Breach opened her portal and pull Van Kleiss through. Before the portal closed, however, she peered through her curtain of hair and gave me her creepy smile. "Aauugh! Van Kleiss got away!" I fumed.
"At least we still have Black Knight." Six indicated the still unconscious EVO.
Just then another Scout Ship landed. Out stepped my brother.
"Cesar! Where have you been?" I asked him.
"Working on this, mijo." Cesar had l large launcher of some type. He aimed it at Black Knight and fired. A collar wrapped around her neck.
"There, that's all of them. Now we can take them safely back and try to extract the meta-nanite powers from them."
"You can do that?" I asked.
"That's what we've been working on." Cesar walked back into the ship.
"We?" I asked. My brother is so strange. But whatever, I'm just glad this is over. I draped my arm over Circe.
"Let's go home."
"Best idea I've heard all day." Circe wrapped her arm around my waist.

Black Knight's (POV)
[Location: Providence Prison]
Rex may think he's won. He may think he's stripped me of my powers. They may have me restrained in this straight jacket. But nothing can keep me down. I didn't survive this long so that some boy can keep me from all that power. My day is coming. Yes, it is coming. My nanites are still active. I can feel it. They are calling me, telling me to be patient. And I will bide my time. When they least expect it, I will strike again. I grinned. My eyes glowed purple.
