Hi, guys. I'm sorry I wasn't able to update over the past few days. Anyway, thank you for all the reviews for the last chapter :D You guys made my day ^^

I hope you like this new one as well :) Happy reading!

~:M:~

"Should we tell him?," I asked Sango as we raced up to class before the third bell rang.

"I don't know. Let him find out for himself, I guess. He should be able to notice that Kagome's not holding the bouquet when she comes in the room." She replied, the look on her eyes still confused from what had just transpired. But even so, I saw a glint of pride.

"I'm happy that she didn't fall for InuYasha's act though." She muttered as we entered the classroom.

We saw that Kagome had just began settling down on her desk. She looked her usual self: cheerful, a bit shy but still friendly enough to interact with the ones who engage her in conversations.

"I'll go to her now, bye." Sango left my side and walked towards her best friend. As usual, their desks are beside each other's.

I went to my desk as well and looked forward. InuYasha sat in front of me. I tapped his shoulder.

"What?" He turned around to face me.

"Did you see us come in?" I asked him.

"No. I was…thinking about something." He answered quietly.

"What's it about?" I asked.

"Kagome's really nice, isn't she? That, or maybe she's just really stupid to believe my act." He said.

Uh…she's not stupid. And I don't think she's being nice to you, either.

"What's making you think about those things?" I pressed.

"She's so accepting of me. It'll be fun playing with her again. I just have to continue pretending to be a good and gentle boyfriend to make her trust me fully." He grinned at me.

"What?" I asked, bewildered.

The teacher entered and called for order.

InuYasha winked at me before facing in front.

I stared at him. What an asshole.

~:S:~

I watched Kagome throughout the day. She behaved normally, and nothing was out of character ever since she threw the bouquet InuYasha gave her. She was still the nice, sweet girl and she interacted with everybody like how she really would. It didn't seem like she was acting towards the others…she only acted differently towards InuYasha.

"Kagome…" I approached her as we walked out of the classroom when our last class ended.

"Yes, Sango?" She smiled at me.

"Why'd you throw the bouquet? I mean, I'm quite proud that you did but I'm still confused." I said.

Her smile grew small and she looked at me. We stopped walking just before the staircase leading down to the first floor of the school building.

"Well, that wasn't a gift. There was no reason for me to keep it. I know InuYasha only bought that as a prop for his act. And besides, it's just added bulk for me to carry around so why should I bother." She stated calmly. She was serious, but there wasn't any venom in her voice. She's not bitter about it.

"So…you're playing along? I thought you said wouldn't bother to get revenge?" I am still confused.

"I'm not, Sango." She answered.

"Then why did you accept to be his girlfriend when you could have refused? You don't even love him anymore…or am I wrong?" I pressed. Maybe she still loves him.

"No, I don't feel anything like that for him. I intended to not bother with him when I came back here but he was the one who approached me, intending to mess with me again. I will not tolerate that, Sango. I wanted to come back here and spend my high school life peacefully but he bothered me again. I told you that he better prepare if he plans to do something to me again. He wanted to play with me again, but I will not let him toss me around. I won't do anything extreme like what he did to me, but I will play against him. I will be his girlfriend until I break his heart back." She said.

Wow. I stared at her.

"Don't worry about me, Sango. I can handle it." She smiled at me warmly.

And I saw that she can. She's not emotionally weak anymore. She's still the good-hearted Kagome that I knew, but she grew strong. I hugged her.

"I know. I know that you can. I'm so proud of you." I told her and I heard her laugh as she hugged me back.

"Come on, I have to go help Mom back home." She smiled as we broke our hug and started going down the stairs.

"Oh, sure. Go ahead. I'll meet up with Miroku for a bit." I said.

I saw her off at the school gate and went to find Miroku as soon as I saw Kagome walk around the corner towards her home.

~:I:~

Sango approached as Miroku and I got out of the school building. The teacher asked for the boys' help in the cleaning up some mess in the science laboratories.

"Sorry you had to wait up," Miroku told Sango as we met.

"It's okay. I'm your girlfriend anyway," she smiled at him.

"Where's my waiting party? I have a girlfriend." Kagome wasn't with her.

"She didn't bother waiting for you, jackass." Sango seethed at me.

"Yeah, why would she? I doubt you'll wait for her if she was the one who had a task after classes." Miroku agreed with her.

"You two are teaming up against me," I grumbled.

"Because you're an asshole." They said in unison.

Fuck you, guys.

"I'll walk ahead." I left them behind and walked towards the school gate.

I saw several flower heads peeking out from the garbage can in the sidewalk as I exit the school.

Huh? Those lilies look familiar… I walked towards it.

"What the hell?" I grasped the top of a bouquet and pulled it out of the trash bin, bringing along the other trash that buried it. I didn't care.

Miroku and Sango caught up with me just in time to see what I had fished out.

"Isn't this the bouquet that I gave to Kagome earlier this morning?" I asked them.

"Uh…maybe it's a different one. It may be a coincidental design and flower choice." Miroku stammered.

I looked at the flowers for a second and started rummaging through the stalks.

"What the fuck?" I found the snapshot that Kagome took and brought it out for them to see.

"WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK?" I am dumbfounded. How can she do this? Kagome isn't supposed to have the guts to do this.

I looked at my companions. By their lack of surprise, I figured that they were in on this.

"You knew she did this." I confronted them.

"We were equally surprised. Don't talk to us like that, we had nothing to do with it." Sango told me straight up.

I looked at her hatefully. She looked back with the same hostility.

"Don't be a pussy about this. If you don't like it, break up with her. Hell, she'll be delighted if you break up with her." She smirked.

Miroku just watched us. The wimp wouldn't even take my side.

"Oh no, Sango. I wouldn't do that. I haven't even made her cry again. She's just a little puppy who had strayed a bit, I'll tame her back again." I smirked back at her.

Miroku shook his head at me, disappointed. Sango smiled, amused.

"Careful, InuYasha. The 'puppy' you wanted to play with may have gotten a bit rabid after she strayed…" She pulled Miroku along to leave.

"And she bites back now." She whispered to me as they passed by, adding a snarl at the end.

So...yeap. Not my best, I know. I am finding it hard to think and write like how a cliched high school teenager would (because I started this fic when I WAS A CLICHED HIGH SCHOOL TEENAGER), so please do bear with me for my feeble attempts to lessen my maturity so I can match with my past self, haha. And being a medical technology student can certainly send my creativity down the drain :/

But do tell me what you think :D Please do review and tell me what I should improve on, or what would you like to see happen. I will add more of the original characters from the InuYasha series in later chapters too :D

I'll try to update more, I promise. Thank you for reading :)
