Chapter 10
As Natsu stepped out of the guildhall he heard marching. He looked to his left and saw a large amount of people marching in unison towards the guild hall. It was a large group of soldiers each carrying a long brown metal staff, ending in a sphere, seemingly a globe made of crystal, topped by a small cross. The soldiers are clad in a garish uniform, highly reminiscent of those worn by real priests. They don a long, high-collared, sleeveless dark robe over a light shirt with wide sleeves ending below the elbows, where they are circled by thin bands; the robe is covered on the front by a light blue cloth, bearing the dark, ankh-like symbol of the Council, held still by a light belt circling the waist. Around the soldiers' neck is a long, light cape bearing the Council's insignia on the back, held closed below the neck by a rhomboidal clasp adorned by a gem, and on their head sits a light headgear, with a decorated lower part, reminiscent of a mitre, but with three tops, a central one and two more at its sides. They also wear simple boots with the front parts covered in vertical stripes (I had no idea how to describe them so I just copied it off of Fairy Tail Wiki).
They were being lead by a man dressed very similarly except for the fact that he was not wearing a hat, was carrying no staff, and the symbol on his chest along with the trim on the light blue cloth being golden instead of black. He wore black boots, had a sword strapped to his belt, and wore less baggy pants for more convenient combat experience. He had black hair (This is not Lahar or Doranbolt. Keep in mind that if this was Lahar or Doranbolt, they would be a rune knight commander when they were around 13 years old as both of them look to be around Natsu's age during the Tenrou Island Arc) with red eyes, and a scar that went across his left eye down to his lip, distorting it a bit giving him a sort of menacing look. This is Officer Judice (I made him up).
Unsurprisingly the rest of Fairy Tail heard the rune knights and rushed out of the guild doors to see the large squadron approaching the guild hall. Makarov stepped to the front ready to get an earful about how Natsu destroyed 8 mountains the previous day. It was highly unlikely that they knew it was Natsu though.
As Makarov stepped out Natsu held his ground Not even moving a bit, giving Judice (I'm just going to refer to him as "Judice" from now on) a full view of his demonic-like form. As Natsu gazed upon the rune nights and looked at the symbol in the middle of their chests his blood started to boil. His eye went from its orange color to a blood red color as flames lit up around it. His dragon tattoo grew to a brighter glowing crimson as red fire swirled around his body (Fire is SWIRLING around his body. He has not completely lit his body on fire like he does in the anime). Natsu extended his claws as he bared his fangs and let out a low growl as he glared at the rune knights. Natsu had enough control over himself to only heat up the area around him a bit and release some magic power making almost almost all of the rune knights faint under the amount of magic pressure he was releasing.
Natsu wanted to rip the rune knights limb from limb right now. The only thing he was feeling now was rage. His mind had created a hallucination in front of him with the face of the council members he killed on their bodies. He ignited his fists in flames as scales started to travel up his arms and creep onto the side of his face. They were slowly covering the rest of his body as he became more and more angry. He was about to attack them when Wendy tugged on his coat (Keep in mind Wendy is 5 years old and is almost 2 feet shorter than Natsu right now).
Wendy asked, "Nii-san? What's wrong?"
Everything vanished from Natsu instantly. His flames extinguished as his dragon tattoo went back to its normal color. His eye went back from red to orange as the scales received from his body leaving only his hands and forearms, as well as feet and shins covered in scales just like normal. His fangs shortened, and he retracted his claws. He released his magic pressure allowing everyone to breath, and lowered the temperature of the air back to normal levels. Natsu stepped back away with Wendy, still being cautious. He didn't know if the council had changed in the past 300 years.
However as Natsu backed up, he was being encircled by the rune knights. Judice said, "Surrender Demon! You are surrounded!" The rune knights aimed the end of their staves at him as magic gathered at the end of them.
Natsu glared at them with his eye as he extended his claws as he made a low growl. Makarov asked angrily, "What is the meaning of this?!"
"Can't you see the boy is a demon?!" Judice aske. The rune knights closed in around him as Judice continued, "The demon is a menace to Fiore! You witnessed it yourself, he destroyed 8 mountains!"
The rune knights continued their vicious advance towards Natsu. One of the rune knights ran up to him and managed to place one part of a pair of magic restrainment cuffs on Natsu, but what happened next surprised them. His magic wasn't supposed to be active, but Natsu just gathered a small flame around his wrist and vaporized them.
Natsu growled out, "I thought you would have changed in the years I was away from human society, but I guess I was wrong." Natsu flared his magic was flames started to gather around him. His eye turned blood red as he started at the rune knights striking fear into all of their souls. Natsu then released his magic pressure, simultaneously knocking out all of the rune knights, as the ground around him was scorched by the amount of heat he was releasing. Everyone that was a citizen was having their clothes melt and most of them fainted. Natsu however left Judice barely awake so he could deliver a message to the council for him.
Natsu said in a much more demonic voice that shocked both Gildarts and Makarov, the only people that were still awake. He lifted up Judice by the neck as he barely let Judice get enough air to stay conscious, "I thought the council change in the 300 years that I was gone. After they killed the only people that I loved, I left you humans. I would have hoped you changed in the 300 years that I was gone, but I guess that was false hope… AND NOW YOU'VE MADE ME MAD!"
Crimson flames started circling around Natsu's arms as they went near Judice's face scorching his neck as he writhed in pain. "I want you to let the council know that if they ever try to hurt me or someone else I care about again, they will feel the wrath of Flareon, The Silver Dragon of the Crimson Flame!" As he said that an image of his dragon form appeared behind as he stared into Judice's eyes. He then coated his fist in crimson flames and smashed it into Judice's Face, smashing him into the side of a building.
Natsu released his magic pressure, still leaving the rune knights and the rest of the guild members knocked out. The only people that were conscious was Makarov and Gildarts. They were shocked. They never knew that one boy could contain so much hatred. To them it was clear now that there was quite a lot more to Natsu than they were led to believe about him. They had heard everything. Was this kid really 300 years old? If he was Flareon, is be possibly older? Who did the council hurt that was close to him to make him hate humanity so much? These were all questions that were going through their heads. They looked towards where Natsu used to be but saw nothing.
With Natsu…
Natsu walked down the street towards a tall building made of white bricks. It had a huge arched entrance made of white bricks as well that jutted out in a large tunnel from the large building. There were 2 unlit lanterns that hung from each side of the archway, and 4 that ran down the middle of it. The inside of the tunnel had green beams of metal running across the inside for support.
Natsu walked down it until he came to the inside. There were 4 railways, 2 of which had trains on them. They had green pipes holding up green cross beams going over heach railway with a light up sign of where the next destination was and how long it was until the next train arrives. There were people bustling around everywhere as Natsu looked at them with disgust. 'I need to blow off some steam' thought Natsu.
He needed tickets so he walked up to the ticket booth to buy tickets for his train. He came to it to see man man in a green and yellow uniform with a green hat on. He had slightly tanned skin with brown hair and brown eyes. The ticket salesman asked, "Where to?"
Natsu had used a bit of illusion magic to hide his demon like features. Natsu told him the city name (I can't think of a name and I don't want to use a canon name). The man said, "Okay, that will be 300 jewels."
Natsu closed his eyes. He had to search through his pocket dimension as he had lived in a different part if Ishgar for most of his life, so he didn't have that many Jewels, which was a different currency than the one he normally used. He thought, 'I'm gonna have to trade in my old money for jewels later.'
Natsu pulled out a small wad of jewels as he paid for his train ticket and walked to the nearest car. He really didn't care which car he was in. He plopped himself down right in front of a black haired boy. The boy spiky black hair, which is kept slicked back, revealing his forehead and goes down to about his mid back. He has green (yes, I know his eyes are red, but at the beginning of the show they were green) with slitted dark pupils, and instead of eyebrow he has 3 metal studs above each eye. Most of his exposed body is covered in sets of simple, round studs, as well as 2 more metal studs on each side of his nose (In the anime it is sometimes mistaken for 3). He also has 2 on his chin, just below his mouth. His ears are adorned by two sets of five studs each. He wears something similar to a black sleeveless trench coat that closes up at his torso and is very similar to Natsu's, except it has jagged rips at the bottom. He wears a gray belt, green pants and black boots. At each sleeve hole is a metal ring with metal studs, and at the neck hole, as well as at the top of each of his boots which his pants are tucked into. He has black fingerless gloves with metal studs on the knuckles, and to finish off his look he has something similar to a feather over his right shoulder with a black Phantom Lord guild mark under it.
Natsu looked at his face and asked himself, 'Is that Gajeel? Well now I know where he is. All I need to do now is find Sting and Rogue.' Natsu looked up at him and said, "Hello Gajeel."
Sorry for the long wait, well that wasn't that long, but that was longer than normal. I am currently in the middle of starting another fanfic which will be out soon which is about a story where Natsu is a celestial spirit, as well as I am getting piled on with schoolwork. I'm also sorry about the cliffhanger, but this thing is already over 2000 words, and I don't really want to write more.
I hope you guys think I didn't make Natsu too powerful. He is supposed to be around Acnologia's strength, and probably slightly above. I need to a few questions answered though
1) When should I start the first pairing? I already have Ultear, and I need to know when to start it, because I can't wait too long. I could have Natsu take an S-class quest where he is sent to eliminate Grimoire Heart, and that is the most probably idea.
2) When should the rest of the guild figure out the truth about Natsu? I wanted Makarov and Gildarts to know for the story to progress, but how long should I keep the rest of the guild in the dark?
3) Should I have Gray find Lucy in Hargeon when the time comes instead of Natsu? Natsu won't be paired with Lucy, so I was thinking that I should have Gray find her and then I could pair then together.
Here is the current line up:
Ultear: 11
Ur: 4
Wendy: 3
Mira(I probably won't anyway): 5
Lisanna: 1
Seilah(I probably won't): 4
Erza(I probably won't): 1
Dimaria(I probably won't): 1
Kagura: 1
I probably won't do Mira or Erza unless I do both of them because it would allow me to have them fight over him. I probably won't do Seilah because I need a good Tartaros arc once I get there and if I do this it will make it less convincing as well as it will get rid of one of the best battles in the entire thing. That is the Mirajane vs Seilah battle. Dimaria is also unlikely because given the personality I gave Natsu, they have nothing in common so it would just be out of place. Also, she is in the Alvarez empire, and unless I have Natsu turn on Fairy Tail, that is never happening.
