Welcome back, my loyal readers.
I know I've been away for quite a while, so I'm hoping to make up for it with some more updates.
By now, I'm sure you guys realized that I intend to pair up everyone romantically. I mainly chose our main character to be with Yukiko mainly cause I preferred her overall. Plus, it seemed rather apparent that a Yosuke/Chie and Kanji/Naoto pairing seemed obvious throughout the game. That left Rise alone and I was not gonna have her be with Teddy, he honestly looked way too young for her anyways.
I've also noticed that the story seemed to put a little too much attention on Yon and alot less of Souji. Since he's the main character of the game, I'll try to put more focus on him, make it feel more like its back in another moment of Persona 4 on the PS2.

(Evening)
Souji close his bedroom door. Having spent a large portion of his afternoon studying, he figured it was now time to get something to eat before he prepares himself for bed.
Nothing had come up ever since Yon's rescue and induction into the team. Despite the peaceful time they had, it didn't keep them from taking the time to train in the TV world in case something comes up. But aside from their occasional trips there, there have been no updates on the Midnight Channel. Souji had hoped that maybe that was the end of it, but knew otherwise. He knew it wasn't going to be that easy. The Midnight Channel returned for a good reason. Yon was thrown into the TV for a good reason. Whoever it was that had targeted Yon wouldn't just disappear, especially knowing that Yon was still alive.
With a light snack made for himself, he sat alone on in the kitchen while Nanako was already in bed.
Just as Souji was finishing up his snack, Ryotaro returned home after another day of work.
"Welcome home." Souji greeted his uncle.
"Thanks, Souji." Ryotaro took a seat across from Souji at the kitchen table to relax. "Listen, I promised that once things had settled down a bit, we would finally have a proper discussion. Right now, there's something I've been meaning to ask."
Souji wasn't surprised, he knew that it was only a matter of time before they would be in this situation. "It's about the circumstances regarding Yon's disappearance?"
"Yeah, it is. I don't have to be a genius to know that the circumstances of his brief disappearance are similar to what happened before with Adachi's case. My question is; are you and your friends looking into this like before?"
"Yes, we are." Souji answered without hesitation.
"I see." Ryotaro sighed. "You should know, that as a police officer, I should tell you that this is considered an obstruction of justice and I have grounds to arrest you for it. But as family, I'll say this; if there's anything I can do to help you and your friends, let me know. This is of course, off the books."
"Maybe there is something you can help with." While the Team had been having difficulty with figuring out who was responsible for Yon being in the TV World, looking back into what information they had from the case previously could provide anything useful. "Do you think you can see what Adachi knows?"
"You think he's involved in this again?"
"I don't want to think so. Maybe he isn't, but he could possibly help us figure out who's really responsible now."
"Like a partner? Or possibly a copycat?"
"Exactly."
Dojima contemplated this for a brief moment. "Well, I'm quite swamped with a current case, but perhaps I can visit Adachi before the end of the week and speak to him. He has no reason to lie, so whatever he tells me shouldn't be anything but the truth."
"Thank you, I appreciate that."

Kanji woke up to disturbance, an unsettling noise coming from outside. While it was rather faint, it was still enough to wake him from his sleep. He tried to ignore it by rolling into another position in bed, but now the noise increased. It was now clear what the noise was; motorcycle engines.
"God dammit." Kanji threw himself out of bed. "They just don't learn." While he was greatly disturbed by the noise outside, he was unsure whether or not his mother was awake. Regardless, he got changed out of his sleepwear and quietly snuck out of his home to confront the disturbance.
Tracking down the source of the noise wasn't difficult, the sound of revving engines, loud laughing, and other noises that could affiliated with a biker gang grew louder as Kanji walked in the right direction. Turning the corner of his street, he spotted the gang making a ruckus on the open street. "Hey assholes! Don't you have any better places to be than here?!"
The gang all stopped what they were doing and turned to Kanji. While some looked at him with confusion as to why one teenager would confront them all, others looked at him in mild shock, recognizing him from before. Those that did recognize him muttered things along the lines of; 'shit, its him', 'not again.', or 'you?'
"Who the hell do you think you are?" One of them called out to Kanji. Judging by his size and appearance compared to the others, it appeared that he was a the one in charge of the gang. While the others wore simple biker jackets/vests, this one wore one with a rather terrifying design of a demon on the back of his jacket and metal studs through the shoulder and sleeves. "My boys don't take kindly to outsiders, especially when they interrupt our fun."
"I thought I told you bastards to never come back!" Kanji yelled, pointing a finger at them. "You really craving another beatdown?!"
The leader of the gang got off his bike and approached Kanji, strutting in a rather intimidating way, hoping to instill some fear in Kanji. "You're one dumb son of a bitch, ain't you? There's only one of you and so many of us."
"Didn't stop me from kicking your asses the last time." Rearing his head back, Kanji delivered a headbutt right at the leader's face. A rather audible crack was heard, followed by the thud of the leader hitting the ground.
The others stepped back slightly at the sight of what had just happened. Kanji only cracked his neck to the side and glare at them. "You still want some of this?"

Souji got distracted with his time talking with his uncle that he didn't even realize that it was getting rather late. Their conversation regarding the case had already been settled and the two decided to talk of other things. Souji had already shared what he had been up to since he first left Inaba and the circumstances as top why he's decided to move back to Inaba permanently. Ryotaro had shared stories of what he and Nanako had been doing since Souji left. He also shared that he had made progress in his wife's death, though he still had much more work to do on it.
Their conversation got interrupted when Ryotaro's phone rang. Since he was off work for the night, he knew that work would contact him only in the case of emergencies. Without hesitation, he answered his phone.
"This is Dojima." He answered. "What, again? Since when?" Inaudible mumbling was heard on the other end of the call from Souji's side. "He's there too? Ok, get a small unit there, I'll be there shortly." Ryotaro hung up his phone and got up from his seat.
"What is it?" Souji asked.
"That damned biker gang came back. And as expected, Kanji is there to deal with it." Ryotaro answered. "It's getting late, you should get to bed now. Don't worry, I'll make sure that your friend is ok. I'll let you know how he is in the morning."
Having strained a lot of his energy knocking down several of the bikers, Kanji was showing fatigue and sweating heavily from the ordeal. Despite his disadvantage, he had no intention of backing down. Even with the odds against him, Kanji was determined to put an end to this.
As he landed another punch to knock down one more biker, another struck him from the side with a hook to his face. Kanji stumbled slightly, but still managed to stay on his feet.
"You really think you can take us all on?" The biker asked. "You're still outnumbered."
Kanji put his fists up and glared at them all. "I can do this all night, asshole." As he charged to strike, one of them managed to grab Kanji from behind, pinning his arms behind him.
"That's it, hold him."
With his arms held back, Kanji was now left at the mercy of the bikers as they began to punch at him. While he was unable to use his arms t punch back, his legs were still free. The moment one was within reach, Kanji threw his feet up and kicked at him.
"Ok, that does it." One of the bikers grabbed a baseball bat from his bike and approached Kanji. "This better put you down." As he raised the bat above his head, something came flying from the shadow and hit him in the head, knocking him out. The object that struck him landed next to his head; a small rock.
Someone then came charging in. He struck the biker that was binding Kanji with an elbow to the head. Once he was released from the grip, Kanji fell on his knees. Whoever it was that arrived to help Kanji stood next to him. Kanji looked to who it was and recognized him. "Yon?"
"Come on, get up." Yon grabbed Kanji by the arm and helped him back on his feet.
Kanji wiped the blood off the side of his lip and spat some out to the side. "What the hell are you doing here?"
As one biker charged at them, Yon pressed a hand to his face and pushed him down to the ground, knocking him out from the impact. "These guys are pretty damn annoying. I figured I'd make them stop." As another biker charged from the side with a bat, Yon grabbed the bat as the biker swung it, hit the biker in the head with it and then delivered side kick to his gut. "And besides, I thought you could use a hand. Seemed natural to help out a friend." Yon then punched out one other biker. "Well, assuming we are friends."
As Yon charged forward towards the other bikers, Kanji could only smirk at it. "Like I'll lose to you." He then followed right after, joining in the fight against the gang. With the just the two of them, they fought off the rest of the remaining bikers that were still able to stand and fight. Despite the advantage in numbers and weapons, the gang struggled against two high school teens. An unknown amount of time passed; Kanji didn't know, Yon didn't know, none of bikers knew. It was uncertain as to exactly how much time had passed since Kanji had shown up to deal with them. But however long it took, it ended with a majority of the bikers knocked down on the ground and the rest fleeing either on foot or on their bikes, leaving Kanji and Yon standing alone in the street.
Both were bruised and sweaty from the altercation, with some minor cuts, but nothing compared to the beating they put on their opponents. The distant blaring of police sirens was present and very slowly getting louder. Someone must've called them about the fight that had happened. It was inevitable, neither of them were gonna escape the police from all this.
Kanji and Yon simply stood there, waiting for the inevitable. They looked to each other as the sirens were now increasing in volume and their lights were now noticeable in the darkness. They looked to see if the other was going to attempt to run, but neither did. Kanji smirked, Yon had some guts to do what he did this night. He raised his arm towards Yon with a fist. Grinning in response, Yon returned with a fist of his own and they fist-bumped; the first form of mutual respect they had ever shown to each other.
Whoo, another one done.
I've gotten around to seeing exactly how different Persona 4: Golden is compared to the original. I was quite impressed with some of the different things that I'll plan to implement them into my story.
One such example will be the use of Tag Team attacks. I don't plan to change the ones already in the game, but I will have one that uses Yon and his unique Persona. No spoilers on that quite yet, you'll just have to wait and see what I have planned for that.
I might also slip in a few adult-themed humor, after seeing quite alot of such things in the game, I figured it would make sense to do so. With the direction I plan to go with this story, I also plan to add some things a little more on the darker side of things. Similar to the Bad Ending of how Nanako dies and the Team 'kills' Nametame by throwing him into the TV, I'm going to have similar elements here.
