At the Hitachiin Mansion all the Hosts gathered in the dining room once more, but now they had some very unexpected company. The Holy Sword known as Excalibur had appeared within their world, and why? Well... the hosts and Crona didn't have a clue.
"C-Crona when you say, 'this is Excalibur,' do you mean like the one from the King Arthur Legend?" Haruhi asked.
"Y-yeah, that's the one. You have that story in this world too?" Crona asked.
"Yes, but in our version Excalibur was just a sword, I don't even know what to make of..him." Haruhi looked at Excalibur in confusion.
"Well what ever he is can someone please tell me why he's here, so we can get him out of our dining room?!" Hikaru yelled from under the dining table, while holding a pillow over the top of his head. Excalibur hadn't said a word, besides 'Fool', since he arrived, and now he was sitting at the end of the table sipping his tea, that he made Haruhi make, in silence.
Excalibur took one more sip, "I should be asking you that?"
"W-why?" Crona asked.
'Don't engage you idiot!' Ragnarok yelled from inside Crona, he had retreated back into Crona and refused to come out until Excalibur was gone.
"You summoned me." Excalibur pointed to the old book in Kyoya's hands.
"H-How did we do that? And is the book yours?" Crona asked.
Excalibur finished his tea, and then suddenly jumped from his seat onto the table top, "I will now tell you a heroic tale!"
"Wait what?" Kaoru grumbled.
"It was a beautiful summer in the late months, or no wait it was early spring, because I remember days where is was slightly chilly, but I don't remember any brand new flowers, so I shall say late spring. It was not yet the years where I was a young ruffian, but close enough to where I can remember getting into trouble, and the ladies fell to there feet as I walked by! It was hard for me not to cause a scene of great joy to people everywhere I went! I found myself walking in a quiet place that was covered in flowers, but as I said they were not brand new..."
"How long is this going to go on for?" Haruhi whispered to Crona as Excalibur kept talking.
"I have no idea." Crona admitted.
"No interrupting! My legend dates all the way back to the twelfth century you know?" Excalibur yelled at Crona.
"Y-y-yes sir!"
"Now back to the story!"
Excalibur continued talking, and talking, and talking, and talking until finally, "-and that is when I acquired the book!"
"Guys wake up, he got to the book!" Tamaki shouted.
"But that's enough for the moment." Excalibur said as he spun his Kane, "We shall now take a five minute break in which I will sing a great song! Feel free to sing along when you are overcome with awe, for I am sure it will be the best you've ever heard! EXCALIBUR! EXCALIBUR-"
"Enough!" Crona yelled.
Excalibur stopped, and he and the hosts looked at Crona.
"Excalibur we've been listening to you long enough! Now will you please just tell us about the book, and why your here?" Crona shouted, which he deeply regretted after. "S-sorry."
"Well why didn't you say so?" Excalibur said. He spun his cane and knocked the book out of Kyoya's grasp, into the air, and catching it as it came down.
"This book is actually volume 522 of the journals I've kept throughout my exemplary life." Excalibur said as he flipped threw the pages.
"So it's just full of everything you've already told us?" Haruhi asked.
"Precisely, but the book is far more detailed!"
Crona and the hosts looked upset, tired, and disappointed.
"But what about the word, meister on the middle page? Crona asked.
Excalibur turned threw the pages, "Hmm?"
"What?" Crona asked.
"I would not sully the pages of such a fascinating and detailed story with issues that do not concern me, but..I do remember writing down my feelings of an issue with someone."
"And?" Haruhi asked.
"The story begins on a very cloudy evening, or wait it was a foggy afternoon, no it could very well have been a sunny morning!"
"Here we go again." The twins grumbled, and covered their ears.
"I had decided to travel to this world to enjoy myself, and get away from it all."
"Wake me when it's over." Tamaki said as he started to fall asleep, he was too tired to realize he was lying on the floor.
"That's when I met a man by the name, Suoh."
Everyone bolted up.
"Wait you knew my family?" Tamaki yelled.
"Fool! Do not interrupt!" Excalibur hit Tamaki on the head. "I met a man named, Suoh. He was wealthy, handsome, and he and I had to fight off several hot babes who wanted us."
"I'm starting to get creeped out." Tamaki said as he rubbed his head.
"Suoh and I were good friends, and I spent a bit of time in this world because of the entertainment it held, but then one day a young weapon, I believe a girl, interrupted the lovely lunch Suoh and I were having. Or maybe breakfast, but I do remember enjoying a nice latte, so we shall say lunch-"
"Excalibur, the girl?" Crona pleaded while covering the top of his head.
" Right, yes. She said she needed to speak with me, I assumed she had come to beg me to be her boyfriend, but I had just ordered a desert, so I told her to come back that night to pick me up for a wonderful evening! But then she never showed, so I met some beautiful chicks at a local bar!"
"Wait, so this is just about a girl not wanting to go out with you?" Haruhi said in annoyance.
"Not wanting to go out with me? That's absurd! What women wouldn't give her life for the chance to enjoy a wonderful evening with the Holy Sword Excalibur?"
"Any women with an IQ in the double digits!" Haruhi screamed, she was already thoroughly annoyed with Excalibur.
"Wait?" Kyoya asked, getting everyone's attention. "How did you know she was a weapon?"
"Excuse me?" Excalibur asked.
"It's just in this world there is no such thing as weapons, meisters, or kishin, so how did you know her from an ordinary girl?" Kyoya asked.
Excalibur fell silent for a moment, "Because she said her meister had left her." Excalibur answered.
"Her meister left her?" Crona said allowed trying to figure out the words. Its not very often a meister and weapon part from each other, under any circumstance.
"So does that mean Lord Death has had a reason to send meisters and weapons here before?" Kyoya asked.
"I-I don't know. I never asked him, and he didn't say anything about it." Crona said.
"Well that book looks to be at least 80-100 years old, maybe there hasn't been any issues in our world since that time?" Kyoya asked.
Crona kept silent and kept looking at his feet.
"Crona? Are you ok?" Tamaki asked the meister.
"I'm fine, but I think I need to give Lord Death a call."
(Back at the school)
"Hamelin, how are you feeling?" The corrupted soul whispered from the corner of the dark room.
"Better now that I've eaten, thank you for getting that soul for me." Hamelin said from his own corner of the room.
"It was a pleasure getting it." The dark figure said with a deep laugh.
"Now that my strength is restored I will be leaving for a short time?"
"Why?"
"I have to go ask for a new flute."
"The boss will not be pleased Hamelin, especially after you were almost destroyed by a child."
Hamelin growled, "He is not an ordinary child, and besides I think I have the perfect way to end him, and provide us with some entertainment."
"I can't wait to see."
"But do me a favor, Sider."
"Yes?"
"You and Sherwood keep an eye on the swordsmen and the young humans. This show is coming to its finale, and I don't want the main act to be a disappointment." Hamelin said with a wide sharped tooth grin.
"No problem, but I can't guarantee all the actors are going to make it to show time." Sider laughed as he took a large bite out of a medal pipe.
