Hey everyone I know i have not written on this story in a while but i figured out where i wanted it to go now that i have i hope that my life will let me write it but just know i will get chapters out when i can thanks for all of you who have stuck with me even with my sporadic updating hugs to all.

Chapter 10

(the next day)

When Remus, Sirius, and Severus woke Harry was still asleep as he was exhausted. They decided to let their cub sleep so Remus picked him up and cradled him in his arms as they all appriated home. He put Harry on his bed and Sirius stayed with Harry to watch over him while Severus got ready for his meeting with the dark lord.

(A few hours later)

Severus told Sirius he was leaving and to tell Harry he would be fine but Sirius convinced him to wait a few minutes so that he could wake Harry or they both knew that Harry would worry himself sick.

Severus agreed and Sirius went about waking Harry up, "Come on cub, time to wake up. Severus will be leaving soon if you want to tell him goodbye you have to wake up now."

Harry sat up quickly wand slightly drawn till he noticed who had woken him and when he did he automatically started to apologize. "Harry it's alright you have nothing to be sorry for." Sirius assured him before he told him that Severus was leaving and if he wanted to see him off he needed to get down stairs. Harry nodded and said he would be down in a minute.

After Sirius lost the room Harry hurriedly got dressed his mind already forming worst case scenarios that could happen with this plan soon enough he was ready and bounded down stairs. When he entered the living room and saw Severus standing in front of the floo a small sob escaped him as he fling himself at the man hugging him tight.

"You better come back, I can't go through losing any of you again." Harry said trying and failing to hide the tremor of fear in his voice.

"Harry, I know how to handle Voldemort. It won't be hard to fool him until the potion kicks in fully. You don't get to worry till two hours have passed and I have not returned, But I will do everything I can to always come back to you." Severus sighed as Harry only clung tighter to him.

"You'd better." Was all Harry said before he reluctantly let go of the man he loved as an uncle. All he could do now was hope their plan worked and that this did not go badly because he knew that if Severus did not come back in two hours he would be making plans to get him back himself no matter what he had to do.

Severus nodded to Sirius and Remus a pleading look in his eyes that Remus understood as a plea to make sure Harry was ok if anything went wrong. Remus gave a slight nod in understanding and gently pulled Harry into his arms. Then together they watched Severus throw down the floo powder and loudly so that they could hear say "Slytherin Manor, Serpents lair." And disappear in a whirl of green flames.

Harry started shaking in Remus's arms and Remus knew that Harry would not leave the room until Severus returned or the time limit had passed. Using the pack bond he told Sirius "We are staying in here with Harry until Severus returns. I'll need your help keeping him calm." Sirius nodded just as Harry shifted and curled up on the floor in front of the fireplace to wait.

Remus and Sirius both shifted and curled up around Harry every once in a while nuzzling and licking his head and ears in comfort when he started to spiral too far into a panic.

(With Severus as he arrived at Slytherin Manor)

As he stepped out of the fireplace Severus reinforced his occlomency walls as he walked through the manor to the great hall that was being used as the meeting room and where he knew Voldemort would be waiting for him.

As he stepped through the door Voldemort said "Ah Severus, You have my potion I presume."

"Yes my lord, but it is a new variant of it that I created that I have tested it has made me able to retain anything I read or did as well as brought up forgotten memories and let me retain it all permanently. I thought it would be of use to you." Severus replied while bowing down to the man. As he waited for Voldemort to allow him near he could not help but think that he hoped this worked.

"Give it me." Finally it was time for the plan to start. "It takes about an hour to be fully in affect it, I would like to stay for a little longer than that to make sure that there are no side effects. I don't think that there will be but I would like to be sure my lord."

Voldemort just nodded and took the potion, then after a few minutes headed towards the library with Severus in tow. For the next hour Severus watched as Voldemort started to get his sanity back and an hour on the dot later He dropped the book he was holding and in a raspy voice asked "What have I done Severus? Why did I go after a child and almost destroy all we had been fighting for?"

"Tom?" Severus asked hesitantly hoping he was not wrong and would not get crusioed for this. All Voldemort did was nod "Tom, it was not your fault we found out that Dumbledore had slipped you a potion that causes insanity in the one who takes but does so over the course of months if not years depending on the dose. No one would have made the connection. He made you that way, myself and one other made the potion I gave you it does help with memory but its main purpose is to cure insanity we both agreed to give it to you." Severus explained

"Who is your associate and is it one of my other followers?" Voldemort asked wondering who else had decided to help him become who he truly was once again.

"It is someone you would not expect and no he is not one of your followers he is actually someone who used to be on the light but because of certain circumstances he would like to explain. His only stipulation is that both his and your wands are held by me and that you both walk out alive and unharmed no matter how the talks go. I can tell you who it is as well as who will be coming with him if you agree to these terms." Severus hoped that Tom would agree he hoped this had not been for nothing.

"I agree to the terms and will give you my wand before he enters the room as a sign of trust." Tom had agreed and now Severus was relieved but before he left he handed Tom another potion saying "It will remove the effects of the botched resurrection potion that Pettigrew had made a year ago." Tom just thanked Severus again and knocked the potion back. His appearance changed quickly from the snake like man that he had been to a older version of Tom Riddle from the Diary only difference was that still had red eyes.

After he thanked Severus for his help he asked again "Who help you and in turn me?"

"It was Harry Potter believe it or not and he is not the same as he was. He has asked for an audience with you. Though I warn you if I am forced to choose between the dark and Harry I will chose Harry he is like family to me and I won't let anything happen to him." Severus was dead serious

Tom could tell that Severus would fight against him if he tried to go after Harry so he made it so he would not have to but still not let them side against him either. "As long as you both don't go back to the light I could care less. I will even release you from my service if you go with him as long as everyone present swears on their life and magic not to join the light in the war." Severus gave his approval of the plan and then left to go get Harry, Remus, and Sirius.

(At Grimmald place)

Harry jumped up as the floo flared and Severus stepped out shifting back he did not even get a word out as all Severus said was "He agreed to meet. Your plan worked cub."

Harry smiled hugging Severus tightly to assure himself that he was alright. After a few minutes they all were ready to go and soon enough they were on their way to the meeting that would change the course of the wizarding world and the fortunes of the light forever
