Chapter 9: The Protector and The Evil

Shiro was struggling to swim against the current that was pulling her farther into the ocean. Disorientation haunted her as she was trying to prevent herself from drowning. What was going on with Riolu worried her more than her current situation.

He is all alone. Shiro thought to herself. How will I get out of this?

"Shiro…" said a voice that wasn't Raven's. It was much more mature, but it sounded like a cat truthfully. "Open your eyes."

Shiro did and she saw a pink figure swim toward her maneuvering through the rough currents with ease. It looked like an alien, a very cute alien.

"Hold on," the pink figure yelled somehow communicating with Shiro, "I will put you in a protective sphere, so prepare to feel a little light-headed."

Shiro did and she found herself inside a sweet smelling bubble that, at first, took all the breath out of her and made her feel very dizzy. The feeling went away, but Shiro couldn't help spew out the sea water and her lunch.

"Are you okay?" the pink thing asked looking really concerned.

"Who are you?" the red eevee asked cautiously and tried to stand in the bubble that was rising to the surface.

"You can call me Kate; I know your sister Raven and she asked me to come here to help you and your friend. By the way, he needs you, and this bubble will take you to him. I'm sorry; I am only here in spirit. All I can do is protect you the best way I can. TELEPORT!"

When Kate said that last word the world started spinning as Shiro floated out of the sea into the sky. It felt like a crazy ride with all the dips and turns. The ocean was all around her for a short time, until Shiro saw a cliff in the shape of a shark-type Pokémon. She recognized it to be Sharpedo Bluff, which Riolu pointed out to her some time ago.

"This isn't making things any easier, Kate!" Shiro screamed and tried to find Kate, who was nowhere near her. The pink, pop-able sphere that Kate created was starting to dry out, until it finally gave in and dropped Shiro on a familiar sandy ground.

"Shiro, look out!" Riolu yelled and tackled Shiro to dodge an Aura Sphere. The two Pokémon seek refuge inside a cave and hid behind a boulder thinking they the sword-armed Pokémon didn't see them hide.

"Come out; come out, wherever you are. I won't harm you anymore than I already am," Shiro heard Gallade say and walk closer to the place they were hiding. The poor Pokémon had a shiver go down her spine and cuddled next to her partner, who was badly hurt.

"Where did you go?" Riolu whispered and hugged his best friend tightly.

"Did you not see me get punched into the ocean?"

"I did, but how did you get back is what I meant to say?"

Shiro struggled on how to explain, until she finally said, "It's kind of complicated."

"Not really," said Kate as she popped in front of the two Pokémon.

"What the hell?" Riolu whispered to himself trying to figure out what is in front of him.

"Let me take care of this," Kate said and disappeared. After she did, there was a terrifying scream that made Shiro and Riolu jumped out of their skin and took a peek over the boulder they were hiding behind.

"What the hell are you, son of a bitch you can't be her?" Gallade screamed and tripped himself. "Your Kate Amare, how are you here?"

"None of your business, time to send you to your master," Kate said and glowed brilliantly blinding everyone around her. Once it died down, Gallade was gone, and so was Kate.

The two Pokémon, who were dumbstruck, took the chance to run out of the cave and get back to the guild. Luckily, everyone was out either in Treasure Town or on a mission.

"What the-how did all that-what is going on?!" screamed Shiro and collapsed on her bed. The smell of the orange roses did comfort her to an extent, but she still felt like jumping on the walls to calm down.

"I thought you would explain," Riolu said walking back and forth and scratching his head, "I've never seen anything like that before and I've seen a lot of things."

"I have no idea, all I know that happened concerning that pink thing is: her name is Kate, she knows my sister, and that she seems really powerful," Shiro answered. The pendant around her neck glowed brightly. By now, Shiro doesn't like things glowing.

"Shiro…Shiro, are you okay?" Raven asked coming through loud and clear.

"Raven, who is Kate?" Shiro asked not wasting any time.

"Okay good, you met her. It is hard to explain what or who she is, let's just say that she is close to being a god."

"What kind of Pokémon is she?" Riolu asked next sitting closer to Shiro.

"Well, technically she isn't a Pokémon, she is human with a Pokémon inside her body, and she is able to communicate into this world using that Pokémon's spirit. What kind of Pokémon she is using is named Mew and it is a really bad-ass Pokémon let me tell you."

"Go ahead and tell us," Shiro and Riolu yelled.

"Well you see, Kate Amare is something called an Awakened Secret and is someone who can fuse with a Pokémon and become a host to that being. They can have the powers of that Pokémon as long they keep them inside their bodies. I know of Kate because, maybe I said this before, she help me become one with this pendant. That is basically it in a nutshell. Concerning Mew, she is the most powerful Pokémon to ever live. Think of the strongest Pokémon you know and multiply it with the largest number in the world."

"How did she know who I was?" Shiro asked thinking Raven is being a little too dramatic.

"She has the trait to read minds and see pictures of the person anyone could be thinking. I was thinking of you and she picked up on it. I asked her to help you because the evil of this pendant is growing and it would've been hard to help you without you becoming evil or something. Kate is an expert once it comes to this and she knows who this enemy is as well as I."

"Who is it?"

"The enemy goes by the name of Giratina and it's controlled by someone in the human world."

RandomFemale: I am sorry, but what are you talking about once it comes to Jolteon? I never wrote anything about a Jolteon in this story. Thank you for informing me about Gallade and I changed it. Gallade is just a puppet now for the evilness that is about to come. If Raven does get out of the pendant she will be an eeveelution. Thank for reviewing.
