Hey there, Dark souls fanon. Long time no see! Yeah, it has been a while since I last updated this fic and, to be honest, I think maybe going for the darkroot garden route was a bad move, since I had no idea how to go on from there. But since my other dxd fic already reached 30+ chapters by now, maybe it's time for me to give love to my other fics. and so it continues the chronicles of brave little wonder Mukuro. stay golden as always~.
Dark souls doesnt belong to me.
"So I was exploring all those deep woods of Darkroot garden by myself, since there has been records and witnesses about UFO's around here for a while, and as an UFO aficionado, it was only natural for me to try and check it out!"
"Uh-huh, and you entered a brawl with the nearby hobos because you said that you were too smart for them. Not cool, sis." I said crossing my arms and she scratched the back of her head in embarrassment. Currently, I'm walking besides Beatrice-San still in Darkroot garden, looking around for a supposed UFO that has been haunting this place for a while now. Being a man of honor, I can't let a girl going around this place alone. Even if she knows how to defend herself, I still have my own pride as a man of worth. Huh... Maybe this thing is really rubbing on me.
"Uhh~, Mukuro-san, you don't have to be around me like that. I guess I can take care of myself for now." She said, a faint Crimson tint decorating her cheeks.
"I guess not. I mean, you did attracted some bad reputation around here, better avoid getting into more trouble." I said, sighing. First, the usual newcomer's welcome gift, then the conflict with the bell brothers, my problems with the Cat Gang and now searching for UFO's around the Darkroot park. What a week. But I really wonder if those stories are true. "Say, Beatrice, about those stories about UFO's, are they real, or at least reliable?"
"Of course they are! Look some of my own files!" And she reached for her own mountain of books and unfolded a true tracking list to look after the said UFO. Some photos of an unknown spark in the sky, interviews and news report about the said incident and even some simulated encounters. Huh, this chick sure is an UFO aficionado. "Sure, some encounters and reports might've been made-up, but I have the feeling that even With those I'm getting close to the truth!"
"Uh-huh. Too bad Saint Dercy's hospital is abandoned, we could ask to use their rooftop of something" I said with a sigh. Such history here, to bad this place is running down. Talking about nostalgia, this... Path is not unfamiliar for me. In fact... This was the path to observatory tower from Saint Dercy's! Man, they really let those things go, huh? Nothing but old a crumbles of a once highly praised hospital. Not even the lights are working well. Shame on them. "This place is a mess. I used to come here very often. Stupid staff..."
"Well, after the Darksign incident, of course they would put this place in quarantine. I ended up with that one too." She sighed as well. We're in the same boat, sister. "But at least we have now a good place to search for some UFOs! The observatory has been abandoned for half a decade!"
"As long it don't cause bring us trouble, I'm okay with anything. Getting beat up by the Cat Gang was too much for me..." I murmured as I instinctively touched the bandages in my chest. It still hurts like crap, but at least Alvina-san's medicine are doing it's work. *BAM!* suddenly, I heard a hard stomp on the ground. What was that?! "Uuuh~? Hey, Beatrice-san... Is that normal? That sound, that is..."
"Oh, those? Nothin much, really. Someone probably step in the wrong neighborhood. Believe or not, the Cat Gang is very possessive about their territory." She said with an uneasy smile, something I mimicked soon after. Alvina-dono is indeed a Cheshire Cat. Heheh... I suck at that.
"It seems harsh."
"It might seem like that, but Alvina-san is helping a friend of hers. You see, not Long time ag-... Whoa!" She didn't even finish her sentence, as suddenly Beatrice-san dripped, as she just didn't fall because I was fast enough to pick her in time. I pulled her closer to me in a second.
"Beatrice-san, are you okay?" I said. Her flashlight was right beneath her face, but instead of an scary movie effect, she was actually blushing so brightly it was almost covering her all face with a red light. I don't get it.
"A-Ah... I'm... I'm okay. Thank you, Mukuro-San..." She said, looking away while her glasses would steal a little, and her books were hanging from her backpack, and she didn't even notice.
"Hey! Wadda hell ya brats ar doin'?!" We were suddenly cut by a loud grump by... Beneath our feet? Oh, crap! It's really coming from below! And yes, the little UFO-aficionado just stepped on a poor hobo! "Ourah heya, dumb brats!"
"Oh! The audacity! I have you know, mr. hobo, that me and mr. Kurokiba are... Kyah!" And she again apparently decided to go all brains-and-words onto the poor main, but turned back to normal as she dodged a can of beer!
"Outta heya! Hey, fellas! Let's rip those brats a new one!" The free spirit said. And like a true army, some grumpy, dirty hobos would either ascend from the ground like zombies or get out of their tents. By the looks on their eyes, they were either sleeping or drinking too much beer... The can of beer on their hands were giving me also a certain vibe about it, but I don't know why...
"What's goin on heya?!"
"We're trying to sleep, darn it!"
"Keep your make-out shits outta heya, ya damn horny teens!"
"Outrageous! I have you know...!"
"Not time for that, Beatrice-san!" I said, as I tripped her back and pulled her out with a bridal style-carrying. Gotta go fast! The free spirits were now tossing beer cans at us, and this muddy floor is really slowing me down! But this park is not really that dense or vast, I can still see where I'm going. "Oh, crap! Oh, crap!"
"Kyaaaah! Mukuro-saaaan!" Beatrice-san said as we entered further and further into the forest. The staff in this place really sucks! There's almost no light here! However, in a glimpse of luck and hope, I took a quick glance at one of the abandoned buildings, the clock tower which has the bridge to reach the Saint Dercy's hospital. I was quick enough to enter there, and soon enough, I meek myself with Beatrice-san there, while the free spirits were coming for us.
We stayed there for four, five minutes, as they were checking every surroundings, but since they're drunk as all heck, I can tell that it isn't saying much for them. After a while, they lost interest, and one by one, they left the place...
"Phew... That was a close one. Hitting delinquents is okay; but hitting one of them would kinda make me feel bad..." I sighed, removing my hand from Beatrice-san's mouth. But Een with that; she became so quie-... Oh... Crap. I was not just silencing with my hand on her mouth, but she's also sitting on my lap. Okay, Mukuro; that was because of the moment, and not your fault. Just apologize, she'll understand. "Err... Beatrice-sa-...!"
"Woooow! Mukuro-san! Take a look at this!" But before I could finish my sentence, she jumped out of my crotch and walked to a specific part of the building. I followed her suit, so that she wouldn't cause any more trouble, and I saw that her interested were now aiming to a strange red frog?
"A frog...?"
"Not just any frog, Mukuro-san!" She said with a bright smile, opening one of her books and opening it on a specific page. I took a look at it and, apparently, that lizard is a rare 'chilly-vermillion moss bullfrog'. "You don't see those around any day! You can only see those at night, and even so, they're really hard to find!"
"..." Staying classy, eh?
"Oh! Look! Another one! A green Vine viper!" She said, now turning her flashlight to some vines left on the floor. Nothing much, there were vivid green in color, so they must have fallen not much ago. "Those also are kinda rare. Since they are in the middle of the food chain, they are fragile, but also very intelligent. That camouflage of them is more impressive that I imagined!"
"Wait, you're saying that vine is actually a snake?" I asked. She turned to me, gave a sigh and then an smiley expression that pretty much says 'you're kinda slow, aren't ya?'. Instead of answering, she picked a small pebble from the building and tossed at it. The vine twitched suddenly, and hissed at every direction, running away. "Wow..."
"There's more to the mind that what eyes can see, Mukuro-san. Specially UFOs!"
You said it, sister...
*TACK-TACK-TACK! TACK-TACK!"
"Huh...?" Me and Beatrice-san gave an question mark to that sound. It looked like the aound of one of those mini-helicopters I used to have home. It's really close too. We returned to our original place in a dark corner of the abandoned building, and waited for that something to happen...
On The next second, something so alien happened that I couldn't believe myself, making me punch myself in order to see if it was real: a true, small and bright green unidentifiable flying object was entered the place, hovering by the broken window, and flashed a flashlight by it's top. Holy shit! Is that for real?! That's a true UFO! At least, for what I can gather, it can't be anything else!
"Kyaaaah~... It's an UFO~!" More brightly than the sun in the middle of July, Beatrice-san said, her eyes shining just as much, as we saw that small UFO hover around, flashlight on it's head, illuminating every corner around. However, after a while, it stopped in midair, and looked closely at the small lizard-frog thingy. The bullfrog croaked once, and for some reason, we heard a rather digitalized 'humm~?' Coming from it. "It talked! It can talk! What is it going to do now?"
In the end, however, her excitement ceased when suddenly, out of the bottom part, the UFO summoned a metallic claw, and reached for the little frog animal, picking it up and pulling to inside of it. Beatrice-san jumped out of my lap and walked towards the flying sauce out of nowhere. I tried to stop it, but to no avail...
"Hey, you! Don't you dare leave this planet with this rare specie! Even if you're an UFO or another thin-...!" However, before she could even finish her sentence, that flying sauce turned to her, and the flashlight on it's head began to blink and shine brighter! The rapid successions of light blinded us for a few seconds, enough for it to escape by another broken window. However, Beatrice-San was yet to be defeat. She picked her things up and walked towards the hospital, following the UFO. "Let's go, Mukuro-San! Even if it's for alien research, we can't let that UFO take that chilly-vermillion moss bullfrog!"
"Huh? Wait, Beatrice-San, what are you talking about?" I said, following suit. She turned around, and changed her regular glasses to night-vision ones out of her own backpack. "Wait for me! It's dangerous to go alone!"
"You don't mess with my planet without permission... It's alien hunting time!"
And I just wanted a bath at the hot springs...
Short chapter, but I promise I'll try to get a hang out of it. I hope you all liked it and maybe think that my english is improving a little.
Also, for the guest whom said to turn my fic into a supernatural fic harem... I dunno, what do you guys think? Is mukuro cool enough to have a bunch of girls running for him? If yes, maybe I'll change the gender of a few characters mine. hahah... Just kidding, but i'm open for suggestions! good to be back and stay golden~.
