updating on the computer for like the first time ever cause i'm home alone.

I'm going to try a Nico POV because I've been reading a few of those recently and it sounds fun.

This chapter starts about a week before Halloween.

Also, to those who reviewed about Annabeth not being mad-

First, Nico's a guy (Obviously). She knows Percy's not gay by now. If he was, nothing Annabeth could do would change that. If I were her, and my boyfriend suddenly came out of the closet and got together with a dude, I wouldn't be mad. I wouldn't be able to change it. (And it would be cute tbh)

sorry for typos, OOCs and plot holes. I don't own PJO/HOO or HP (obviously)

Percy's POV

Us demigods sat around the end of the Gryffindor table. Most of the students had already left the Great Hall, having finished their lunches.

"What should we do for Halloween?"

"We should try coordinating our costumes!"

"Oh! We can go as each other!"

"Leo, that's lame."

"Better than any of your ideas!"

"Guys!" I interrupted. "Let's not coordinate our costumes as eleven. Lets just do it in twos or threes. It would be a lot easier that way."

Annabeth looked at me in surprise. "That was actually smart."

"I try."

Annabeth rolled her eyes. "Anyways, you and I could coordinate, right?"

I nodded vigorously.

"Oh! Ooh! I have an idea!" Jason squealed.

Annabeth raised an eyebrow. "Yes?"

"You've heard of Avatar the last Airbender, right?" He didn't wait for an answer. "Well, I can go as Aang, because I'm like the only Airbender, Piper can go as Katara even though she can't water bend, Hazel can be Toph because earth bending," he paused for emphasis. "And Frank can go as Momo!"

"No. No no no. I am not turning into Momo again. It's humiliating." Frank shot down his idea immediately.

"Pleaseeee? Frank pleaseee? Please please please?"

Frank sighed and looked at the ceiling. "Fine."

"YAY! FRANK YOU'RE THE BEST!" Jason hugged Frank's bulky shoulders tightly. Frank turned red and grew smaller until Jason was hugging air and Frank scuttled away as a mouse.

"Fraank!" Jason whined, hugging himself. Frank glared at him.

"Now that that's over," I snorted. "What about the rest of you?"

"Well, I'm willing to be Toph as long as I'm allowed to see," Hazel said.

"And I'll be Katara. Maybe I could, like, charmspeak water to move."

We laughed. "Nico? Leo? Thalia? Rachel? Bianca? What about you guys?"

"Weellll," Leo started, nudging Nico. "Death Breath and I—"

"No," Nico shot him a Death glare, and Leo backed down. "Fine, fine. You and your sissy can do something. Ill be solo."

Piper cocked her head in thought. "What about Calypso?"

Leo sighed. "Do ya think Dumbledore would let her visit?"

Piper shrugged. "It's worth a shot."

Leo nodded. "Okay. Okay, I'll ask him. Thanks, Pipes."

Rachel grinned. "I know what I can be," She said, humor prominent in her voice. "I can go as Octavian,"

We all burst into laughter, especially those of us who had personally met the Augur.

"That would be so awesome," Jason grinned. He pointed a spoon at Nico and Bianca. "So? Do you two know what you're going as?"

Bianca shrugged. "We'll figure something out. It can be a surprise."

"I don't know what I'll go as," Thalia said thoughtfully. "I could ask Artemis permission to go as her,"

"You are her lieutenant," I said.

"No really, I had no idea."

Leo let out a huge burp, much to the disgust to all of us.

"Leo, that's disgusting." Annabeth told him. "We need to get to class," she stood up, and so did the others. "Remember, a week after Halloween, you guys are leaving." She motioned towards Hazel and Jason.

Nico's POV (after classes)

After parting with Bianca I headed to my dorm. I was planning on sneaking into my bed to actually have some silence and read a bit. Believe it or not, I actually liked reading when I was calm, because my dyslexia doesn't act up as much.

However, Malfoy had other plans.

For days he had been interrogating me on my family to see if I'd slip up on the story. He, like most if the slytherins, didn't believe what we said about our family, and therefore hadn't informed their parents. The few who believed us had no connection what so ever with Voldemort.

"Di Angelo!" He yelled, foiling my plan to go undetected. "Tell me about your family, eh?"

"Malfoy, you've been asking me that for days," I sighed. "What more do you want to know?"

He shrugged nonchalantly. "I don't know. I don't remember that well. Kinda slips from my mind."

"And what makes you think I want to continue telling you the same information over and over again?"

He scoffed. "Um, I'm a pureblood?" He said, like it was obvious.

"Oh, silly me." I replied. "You happen to have muggleborn ancestors. Guess that means you're the superior one."

"What do you mean, mudblood ancestors?" He snapped. "I don't have mudbloods in my family!"

"Sure you don't, Malfoy." I said sarcastically. "There's a beginning to everything. There's a beginning to your long family line, same last name or not. At one point the very first witches and wizards in your family were muggleborn."

"That— that doesn't make any sense!" His voice rose.

I stared at him in mock pity. "That's because you're stupid."

He sneered at me, as if trying to regain his dignity. "Well, you're wrong. There's no start to everything."

I pretended to think. "Well, I suppose you're right. There was no beginning to Chaos. But there was a beginning to Ouranus, Tartarus and Gaea, and their children, and their children's children, and then here I am."

He looked at me blankly. "What?"

I sighed. "Let me simplify it for you. In a nasty, messed up way, the Earth is my great-grandmother."

He looked triumphant. "You've never mentioned the earth before! You're lying!"

I rolled my eyes. "You know what Earth is in Ancient Greek?" I snapped. "Gaea. The same word I've been using for the past five days."

He squinted at me. "If she's your great grandmother, who's your great grandfather?"

"Ouranus, the sky. My step great grandfather— is that a thing? —is Tartarus, the abyss. Which means I've been—" My eyes widened, horrified at this realization.

"What?"

"In a creepy, wrong way, I've been inside my step great grandfather."

"How can you go inside him?"

"Styx, that sounds so wrong. My cousin and niece or whatever it is has been too. Basically if you go to the underworld and find a black pit, chances are if you jump inside you'll never make it out. Its a horrifying experience."

Normally I hated talking about what happened, but since Bianca came back, I had been more accepting and open about it. "I only escaped because my whatever it is— step great uncles or some schist trapped me in a bronze jar with no air for days. Fun."

"..."

"Yeah. Percy and Annabeth, cousin and niece, had it slightly worse, with help they made it to his heart. Yup, Welcome to Tartarus."

Malfoy raised his eyebrows, obviously not convinced.

"Whatever." I said. "I'm leaving now."

"Now, wait just a minute!" He shot a curse at my leg, but it was bounced off. I smirked. It had hit my holster under my black pants. Stupidly, he shot another curse at the same spot, and this time it was absorbed completely. It had reached the Stygian iron.

I turned. "Are you done failing?" I spun on my heel and stepped up the stairs.

THIRD PERSON POV (Halloween feast)

Annabeth and Percy arrived first to the great hall. Instead of the usual four house tables, there were smaller, rectangular tables that seated six, placed all over the place. In the center, space was cleared away.

"I really don't like this, Wise Girl." Percy grumbled about his costume.

Annabeth laughed. "You wanted something ocean related, here you have it."

Percy was wearing what looked like a mermaid pattern, long, skin tight skirt. His top was just a purple shell bra, which Annabeth had charmed to stay on. Meanwhile, Annabeth's costume somewhat resembled what the Ariel's prince had worn in The Little Mermaid.

Percy looked around the hall to see eyes flitting to the uncovered areas of his chest. Self-consciously he tried to cover himself up, but failed.

"Ugh, this is so weird." He muttered close to her ear.

"It's better than if I were to wear it." Annabeth retorted.

Percy's eyes widened. He shook his head rapidly from side to side. "No! Don't wear this!"

She rolled her eyes. "Then why did you suggest it?"

"Oh," Percy scratched his head. "I don't know."

"Whatever. Lets go grab a few tables."

She grabbed Percy's hand and dragged him to one side of the hall. Much to his dismay, he lost the little extra cover he had gotten from his hands.

Annabeth dragged one table next to the other, eliminating the 11th and 12th seat, but added one on one of the sides. She sat down to wait for the others while Percy sat next to her.

Leo and Calypso had arrived. Lucky for Leo, Dumbledore was more than happy to allow Calypso to visit from Camp for a few days. Leo seemed perfectly fine wearing a dress that fit the description of the on Katniss wore, earning the name of the Girl on fire. Hopefully, it was charmed to be fire resistant, because Leo was basically completely on fire, scaring others around him.

Calypso was coordinating her costume with him, so she had smeared tiny amounts of soot on her body, and added fake—or real, burn marks. The main part of her costume was how she was almost completely covered in pita bread, some burnt, some under cooked, and some perfect. She even had tiny pita bread earrings.

Leo 'turned off' his fire and gazed around the hall. When he spotted his friends, he dragged Calypso over.

"Looks like we're not the only ones dressed as the opposite gender, eh Perce?" Leo smirked.

Percy blushed. "Whatever. I hope this thing starts soon. I'm starving.

Calypso plucked a pita bread hanging from her shoulder and handed to him.

Percy squinted. "It's real?"

Calypso nodded. "And clean, don't worry."

Percy nodded and took a tiny bite to make sure, then a larger one.

Rachel and Thalia had arrived together, although they were going solo. Rachel had charmed her hair to be blonde and shorter, she wore huge purple robes, and she was carrying a few teddy bears and a knife. She had also adjusted her face to be more like his.

Thalia was looking like herself for the most part, since gods could look like anything they chose. Thalia had a quiver of arrows on her back, knives in her boot, a pure silver looking bow, and had cast silver dust around her to enhance the effects of her immortality.

They too had spotted their friends, and headed over.

Thalia laughed when she saw what Percy was wearing. "Nice one, Annabeth."

Annabeth grinned. "It took a while to convince him. I managed."

Rachel appeared behind Thalia. Percy immediately glared.

"Octavian," he snapped. "What are you doing here?"

Rachel burst out laughing. "Do I really look like him that much?"

The others laughed too. Eventually Percy joined in.

By then, Hazel, Jason, Piper and Frank had showed up. Hazel had charmed her hair to be straight, short and darker, and Piper did her in a half pony tail with loops of hair up loosely. Frank was perched as Momo on Hazel's shoulder. Jason was carrying a plush bison and had arrow tattoos on his arms, legs and forehead.

"Hey, guys!" Jason flew over to his friends for emphasis on his costume. Drawing stares, Hazel and Piper walked on the ground like normal people.

Hazel stifled a laugh. "Oh my gods, Percy."

"Am I the only one thats gonna get noticed? C'mon, Leo's wearing a fiery dress and Calypso's covered in delicious pita bread!"

"Percy, have you looked at yourself? You're worse than shirtless." Jason scoffed.

"Yeah, well." Percy trailed off. Frank chattered.

"Oh yeah. Bianca and Nico will be arriving late," Thalia said. "Bianca left for the slytherin common room as we were leaving. I'm coordinating mine with them,"

Percy raised an eyebrow. "How's that gonna turn out?"

Thalia winked. "I have no clue. They wouldn't tell me." She looked like she was about to say more, but just then Dumbledore stood up. The hall silenced.

"You must have noticed, the differences this years feast has compared to previous ones. This year, Hogwarts is host to visitors invited by quite a few of you. Also, with the darker times, I saw fit to have a bigger celebration. Instead of just a feast, we are holding a ball tonight, similar to last years Yule Ball. Now, tuck in!"

The chatter started again, and all of the tables filled with food. Music started, but everyone was too busy eating to start dancing.

Percy spotted the golden trio standing around, looking for a spare table. Percy managed to wave them over before snagging three extra chairs. Everyone moved over a little, until it was crowded. Crowded, but not uncomfortable.

Hermione looked around at the faces. She spotted the one she didn't recognize and introduced herself. After they had all sat down, she asked, "where's Nico and Bianca?"

"They're getting their costumes together." Percy said thickly. He nodded to her. "What are you dressed as?"

Hermione, not fazed at all by Percy's strange costume, replied, "oh, I didn't want to do anything too unoriginal. But then again, anything muggle wouldn't be too ordinary here, right? So I'm Cinderella." She had her hair in a bun, was wearing a blue headband and a huge blue dress.

Percy nodded toward Harry, who was completely normal, aside from the fact he was wearing an army helmet and everything about him was green. "You?"

"I'm one of those army statue things."

Percy nodded. Before he could ask, Ron said, "I couldn't think of anything."

Hermione rolled her eyes and started eating.

Slowly students began trickling over to the dance floor.

After watching Percy eat four plates of food non stop, she finally interrupted him in the middle of his fifth plate. "Do you want to dance or are you gonna make out with the food all night?"

Percy blushed and stood up, not remembering his attire. He stood up and dragged Annabeth to the dance floor just as a slow song was starting. (How convenient)

They assumed the typical slow dance position. Annabeth mumbled, "don't you notice how many girls are staring at you?"

Percy quickly glanced around. "Wow, thanks a lot wise girl. Now I can't unsee it."

Annabeth laughed. "You'll just have to deal with it,"

"Wait, why aren't you mad?"

Annabeth slapped his arm, which of course had no effect. "I think I would know by now whether or not you'd leave me because girls are throwing themselves at your feet. Unless you've got something to say to me, Seaweed Brain?"

Percy grinned, remembering when she had first said that. He kissed her lightly on the lips. "Of course not."

BIANCA POV (before 'feast' begins)

I parted with Thalia and Rachel and headed down to the dungeons to the spot where Nico told me to meet. We were to get ready for the feast in his dorm, since it was the most secluded.

I stood around, waiting. I wasn't surprised when Nico seemed to appear out of thin air. Together we headed to his dorm.

As soon as we had stepped into the common room, a voice sneered, "well, who do we have here?"

"Shove off," Nico grumbled.

"Protective, are we? I didn't think even you would have a Gryffindor girlfriend."

Nico pretended to gag. "She's my sister!"

The slytherin raised an eyebrow. "Brother in Slytherin, little sister in Gryffindor? Seems sketchy to me."

I said in a clear voice, "actually, I'm older."

"Yeah right. Di Angelo's my age, and you are obviously younger."

"He's aged longer than I have, but I was born first."

Nico yanked on my wrist. "Yeah. We're going to get ready for Halloween. Good bye." He dragged me up the stairs.

"Okay." I opened the bag I had been carrying. "I found this in Hogsmeade last weekend." I pulled out a full body jackalope costume.

Nico laughed. "Sure, you 'found' it."

I shrugged. "Okay, more like I told what I wanted and the dimensions, and she kinda just made it right there."

"Wow."

"Whatever. Just put this on," I tossed it to him and he ducked behind the curtains on his bed to change.

I sighed and started putting together my Hunter's stuff. Basically, I was going to be a hunter, so I was going a myself, Thalia would be coordinating as us because she was going as Artemis, our mistress, and Nico would be going as a jackalope, because, well, Artemis was fond of jackalopes.

"I'm so not used to this," Nico muttered, jumping off his bed.

"You must've changed a lot since you were ten, Nico," I said.

"Yeah." He whispered. "But now that you're back, I'm okay now!"

I smiled and nudged him. "Any cute boys you're interested in?" I asked, remembering the time in the Lotus Hotel and Casino when Nico ran up to me and began ranting about how cute this boy was he had just met. That's when he told me he was gay. Luckily, everyone was too caught up in their games to care. Who was the boy? Percy Jackson, who had asked Nico what year it was.

Nico's face darkened, making him look like a pouty five year old in his costume.

"Nico?" I asked softly.

"Percy." He said shortly and turned around. He pretended to be busying himself with the clothes he had just taken off.

"Nico..."

"Leave me alone. You don't understand." He snapped.

"Well of course I don't understand, Nics. I'm not allowed to understand. Remember?"

Nico smiled a little. "I forgot."

"Sure you did, little bro."

"I'm older!"

"I've existed for longer!"

"I'll never catch up to you." Nico pouted.

"Parallel lines, Nico. Parallel lines."

"What?"

"It's a math concept. C'mon, lets go show off your costume." I pulled a whining Nico out of the dorm, then the common room, and towards the great hall.

As soon as we walked in I directed Nico's eyes away from the dance floor, because Percy and Annabeth were dancing in plain view. However, Annabeth noticed us walk in and walked over with Percy in tow to greet us.

"Nice costumes, guys," Percy grinned. Out of the corner of my eye I saw Nico blush slightly.

"I could say the same for you." I laughed. "Nice going, Annabeth."

She gave a bow. "I try."

"Where are the others?" I asked.

"Still at the table." She pointed towards the others, and we headed over.

Hermione's POV

I sat with Ron and Harry. Harry didn't ask anyone to the feast, and I couldn't dare hope that Ron would ask me to dance, so we just sat at the table, occasionally eating bits of food.

"It's interesting, isn't it?" I said thoughtfully.

Ron looked up from his food. "What's interesting?"

"The way that they all look at each other. In a protective way. As if they've all saved each other's life at one point."

"Hmm." Ron grunted. "I've never noticed that before."

"It did seem like they left out a lot of details," Harry said. "Like they skipped over most of the rough stuff."

"Well then." I said. "We're not going to pry, yes?"

No answer.

"Ron! Harry!"

"Wha- oh, sure Hermione. We won't."

Frank's POV

The feast, or whatever it was called, was extremely fun. Despite being turned into Momo, or course. Hazel and I danced a couple times. I admit, us, like everyone around us were just watching Percy and Annabeth yell at each other. It could never get old.

But now it was the Friday evening, two days after the feast. All of us were lounging around the room of requirement. Hazel and I were leaning on each other on the couch. Leo was tinkering while Calypso weaved on a tiny loom. Percy and Annabeth were cuddled to each other, talking quietly. I noticed that it looked like Nico was trying to ignore them, with Bianca reading next to him. Thalia and Rachel were sharpening their knifes. Piper was sleeping on Jason. Hermione was doing homework, Ron and Harry playing talking chess. Wow, there was a lot of us.

Sighing, Leo took out the same square of metal he had had on the carriage ride to the school, back in September.

"What's that?" Annabeth asked. I heard Percy mumble something to her. Annabeth shifted and Percy gave a strangled yell of pain.

"Stop doing that!" He sighed.

Leo laughed. "It's kind of like an iPod touch. It plays music and stuff, there's a touch screen, backlight and color. You can play games and stuff too. It's monster proof."

"Can I see?" She asked. Leo shrugged. "Sure." He handed it over after showing her how the buttons worked.

"What's 'Minecraft?'"

"It's a game where you build stuff with blocks."

From somewhere in a pile of pillows, Jason muttered, "you suck at explaining,"

Annabeth took it and started playing.

Soon after that, she asked, "Leo? Why are some of the stars red?"

Leo cocked his head. "What? Let me—"

Annabeth screamed. She flung the device out if her reach ("Watch it!") and hid behind Percy. "SP—SPIDER!" She yelled, as sounds like someone throwing up came from the square.

Percy turned to look at Annabeth. "what?"

Annabeth pointed a shaky hand at the metal square and ducked her head next to Percy's shoulder blade.

Leo picked up the device. "Annabeth, you're still getting killed!" he tapped the screen a few times, then clicked a button and put it down. "dude, you can make it so there are no monsters."

"That thing was the size of Arachne, Leo."

She relaxed next to Percy.

"You're afraid of spiders, too?" Ron asked curiously.

Annabeth nodded. "why are you afraid?"

Ron shuddered. "you would be afriad of spiders if you're little and suddenly your teddy bear had too many legs."

Annabeth shook her head. "That's nothing. My mom has a huge rivalry with the Mother of spiders, so her children are always after my mom's children. when i was little, and i lived with my step mom who didn't care about me. When I slept, waves of spiders would crawl over me. I mean waves. My stepmom never believed me, and thought the spiderwebs all over me was a trick. the spider bites disappeared too soon for me to show her. last summer, I made her fall into tartarus, but she came back and tried to kill me. Percy took care of her for me."

Ron's eyes were huge, which was quite funny.

Percy stifled a laugh. "So, which one f you is more scared of spiders?"

Annabeth shrugged. "Me, but mine isn't irrational,"

"Hey!"

"Come on, Ron. You haven't fought the immortal Mother of all spiders with a broken ankle, while she and all her precious babies were swarming me."

"Oh." He looked towards Harry. "Harry and I, we ran into a huge colony of spiders in second year. They were huge and could speak."

"Same here." Annabeth grinned. "Did they have silk tapestries of scenes from your life in the past that they shouldn't have known about?"

"Um, no."

"Did they drag you into Tartarus?"

"No."

"Point Annabeth." Jason laughed.

THIRD PERSON

"Ugh." Piper said, getting up. "I'm going to bed."

Murmurs of, "same here," and "me too," went around the group, and all but two of them left.

Percy managed to corner Nico before he left. Nico shrunk down when Percy put his hand on the wall over Nico's head.

"So," Percy said. "I heard you have a crush."

Nico immediately blushed. "W—what?"

"So you do! Who is she?"

"How—how do you know?"

Percy shrugged. "I don't know. A few of the others are more protective and understanding around you. I'm not that stupid, you know."

"Yes, you are."

"Whatever. Tell me!" He squealed like a little girl.

"It's not a crush." Nico mumbled.

"Oh—Kay, silly me. Who do you love?" Percy said sarcastically.

Nico gulped visibly.

"C'mon! I know some of the others know!"

"Such as..."

"Annabeth and Jason and probably Bianca too. Annabeth knows and not me?" He exclaimed when Nico nodded miserably.

"Who is she!" Percy demanded more than asked.

'I have to tell him, don't I? Nico thought. Both Jason and Bianca told me to. But they're wrong. He'll hate me. Won't he? Nico took a deep breath.

"Nicooo?" Percy waved his hand in front of Nico's face.

"Not she."

"What? I can't hear you." Percy said, actually not hearing Nico.

"Not-she." He said again, faster but louder than before.

"Nazi? What?!"

"Not. She." Nico snapped. He turned his head away. "Never mind. I shouldn't have told you."

"Oh. Well, then, who is he?" Percy said pointedly.

Nico looked up in surprise. Then he looked down again and shook his head. "You'll hate me."

Percy cocked his head to the side. "Why would I hate you? I mean, unless you had a thing for Paul or something..."

Nico smiled slightly, but it vanished. "I can't tell you."

"But why not?" Percy whined like a little kid.

Should I tell him? Nico asked himself. Yes—no—yes. He answered himself. He was going to tell him.

"Because—"

"Because why?" Percy interrupted him.

Nico glared at him. "I wasn't done."

"Just tell me already! Stop stalling."

Nico breathed in and out twice. "Because that person is standing right in front of me."

Nico ducked under Percy's arm and ran, blinking back tears. He didn't wait to see Percy's reaction.

#sorrynotsorry

I didn't even mean for this to be so long, but then I had three snow days in a row, and I'm updating on the second. Woo.

FYI I uploaded the Leo/Calypso fic. I couldn't do bold or anything because my wifi wouldn't work long enough for me to do that, and kept crashing.

Review, it helps!
