Chapter 10: Blossom Relationship

It's been almost a week since Ichiru Yagami, a third year high school student of Ryoutei Academy left the hospital after his serious injury from the library last week. He is now currently, in the academy, wearing his school uniform while glaring at the familiar male students who harassing him in the corridor, jeering and laughing with other students as they were surrounded them.

His fist clench, he wanted to confront them and ask them what is their problem with him but he didn't want any commotion around the campus because of his reputation as one of the top students in the academy.

He studied really hard for the sake of his family. He wanted to help them financially and become a lawyer when he graduated and went to a prestigious university. Ever since his father left them, Ichiru was the breadwinner and assist his mother and help his younger siblings.

By working in a convenience store as a janitor, he left by midnight and went to school by morning. He was a dedicated person for the sake of the people he cherished the most.

"Ichiru-sempai?" A feminine voice startles the young man and he was in face to face with the Sakamaki girl who rescue him. She was smiling at him with a tint of pink across her cheeks.

"H-Haruna-san, good evening. What are you doing in here?" he asked his female kouhai.

Her deep violet eyes gaze at the few male students and couldn't help but to feel bad about her sempai and a deep anger rise through her chest when she found out the culprit who harassed her sempai in the library.

Flashback

As Haruna enters the main door of the mansion after she visit Ichiru sempai in the hospital and meets few of his family members. She couldn't help but to feel guilt that she didn't rescue him in time, but she must conceal her vampire powers or else, the student population will found out about her and her brothers' true nature.

"Where did you go in this late hour?" The spectacled male vampire descent from the stairs as he approach his little sister who seem a bit confuse and annoyed of his presence.

She averted her gaze, "It's none of your business. Leave me alone and I need to rest." She replied coldly.

His brow raise, never does Haruna had been so disrespectful to him in this kind of way and it irritates him.

He grabbed her left arm and glared at the young female vampire, "Don't turn your back on me and we are not finish yet. Haruna." His cold and deadly eyes behind his specter glasses. She shoved her hand from him and glared at her older brother, "What do you want to talk about? I just want to visit my friend in the hospital, is that wrong? I don't understand why are you guys are so overprotective and cruel to me. I had my own free will to do what I want!" She shouted as her desperate tone as if that she couldn't handle this kind of treatment her brothers to her. She understand that she will be a temporary blood-bank for them before the sacrificial bride will arrive soon and she let them do what they please on her body but invading her private life was a different story.

Just then, a red slap echoes in the main hall. Her eyes widen in shock as her right cheek was sore and she was stumbled on the ground, completely, stunned at Reiji's cruel action.

He sighed as if her words didn't reach him, "How preposterous, It seem that mortal, indeed, corrupted your ideals and it turns you into a disobedient young lady." He pushed his glasses while glaring at his rebellious little sister.

Haruna give him a disapproving look, "If you are talking about Ichiru-sempai. He didn't corrupted my mind, he just encourage me to become a free person to do what I please." She defended the human male.

"To do what you please you say? Give me a break!" The familiar annoying voice coming from another triplet brother enters their conversation. Haruna stood up and glare at Ayato who was smirking at the two of them.

"Where have you've been, Ayato? Did I told you not to cause any rukus around the mansion." Reiji reminded his half-younger brother about earlier noises in the other quarters.

He scratched his red headed hair and yawned lazily, "Shut up! And you…" his attention went to the strawberry blond young girl, "…I didn't expect that you're going to help that shitty human in his miserable situation." As Ayato slip his tongue, Haruna realizes that the culprit who hired those students to harassed her sempai was none other than this jerk Ayato himself.

"You bastard…Why did you do that to Ichiru-sempai! Why?" she wanted to smack him but Reiji intervine and tried to avoid a sibling fight between his younger siblings.

The red haired vampire male crossed his arms, "Because…he's a total trash that needs to wipe out on your life! You belong to me, Haruna! Your blood and your body…Everything is all…mine!" he declared in a serious tone with a hint of jealousy, he has been constantly eyeing on his little sister smiting on a human male in the library and it irritates him.

After hearing Ayato's confession, he wasn't surprise about it because, he knew that each of his brothers feels the same thing for their little sister, not far from romantic, but something an unknown feeling they feel about her.

"A-Ayato…"She muttered and was shocked by his brave confession. Deep inside, she was faltered and as well, disgust. They are half-siblings and share the same father but different mothers but that doesn't changed the fact that they are related by blood.

Her bangs covered, the one she truly loved was Ichiru Yagami, even though he is a human, she accepted him and she wished that if soon, she will reveal her true nature as a vampire to him. Will he accept her?

"Haruna-san?" Her intense thoughts were snapped by Ichiru's voice and the young female vampire was captivated with his handsome but worried look on his face. Her cheeks were blushed, she really like him so much.

"Ichiru-sempai, I need to tell you something important, after class, will you met me at the rooftop. Will you?" she pleaded on the older young man.

The brunette haired young man surprise and nod, "Alright… Haruna-san, I would like to thank you enough for your help. I am truly indebt to you for saving my life and you don't have to pay everything in the hospital bills. I got a little earnings and-" but he was cut off when Haruna gives him a reassuring smile, "Don't worry about it, sempai. It's really appreciating for me to help you and your family and they're really nice people and they cherish you so much that's why, I will not stop on helping you because…I…"

"Haruna." A deep hoarse voice startled the two and they were surprise to see Haruna's older brother by few months, Subaru Sakamaki.

"S-Subaru…What are you doing in here." She was completely annoyed at his presence. She really didn't like the idea that most of her brothers were interfering on her private life.

"I need to tell you something."

His red eyes narrows at the two of them mainly, on Ichiru and the poor young man didn't even quite understand why some of the Sakamaki brothers glaring at him like that. He was wondering what would be his fault in the first place to be treated like some outsider in front of Haruna.

He looked at the wall clock of the school and it would be his next class in few minutes, "I'd better go, See you later, Haruna-san." He said goodbyes to the female Sakamaki and he just stare at the moody-white haired male next to Haruna.

Once the human male left, Subaru glared at his sister, "That guy, he's not good for you. So you better stay away from him." He warned his little sister.

Haruna's mind was about to explode out of anger, her brothers are giving her frustration. "Look Subaru, I know that you don't like about Ichiru-sempai but I don't want to hate you just because you don't like him, you're the only brother whom I consider my ally so please, leave me alone and let me confess to sempai about my feelings." She shouted and luckily, they're the only one in the room.

Subaru realize what his sister was about to do and it displeases him, "That guy, are you attracted to his blood that's why, you're going to confess to him? You know that you can't reveal your true nature while we are in the den of humans." He gripped her shoulders tightly and it hurts Haruna.

The female vampire wasn't unsure and replied, "Maybe. But there is something about Ichiru-sempai that I wanted to know. I wanted to explore more about him and get to know him. It's the first time that I have felt this way to a human, that's why, I will tell Ichiru-sempai, how I feel about him." She said in a determined tone.

Subaru was speechless. He had never seen this kind of look from Haruna before.

It's true. For what he describe Haruna, she's a fickle type and easily get bored on things that she thought it is trivial that's why, she rejected vampire suitors their father and Reiji arranged for her. That is why, Haruna didn't have any motivation and let everyone take advantage of her including their other brothers.

That is the part of her personality he truly despise the most.

But even if she's like that she is; kind, helpful and very brave female vampire he knows that's why, she got his respect on her. That's why, he was restraining his bloodlust over his younger sister.

After few minutes of silence, Haruna had enough and left Subaru alone, "I will go ahead of you, Subaru. We will talk later." She patted his right shoulder.

As the female vampire left, Subaru out of anger and annoyance, punched the wall that ended a large crater.

"Dammit!" he cursed himself.

Unknown to Subaru and Haruna, Laito was observing them from the beginning where his younger brother intervene those two people that is his favorite sister and the human he develops hatred for. His serious expression was scary to the point that he wanted to inflict pain on both Haruna and her beloved human friend.

"You really are stupid, imouto-chan." He muttered a bit disappointed over his vampire sister.

-Rooftop-

Ichiru was waiting for her for about five minutes and somehow, his chest pounding with nervous and excitement. He didn't know what kind of feeling this is but being with Haruna Sakamaki was interesting one. He had never been with a girl in his 17 year old existence and he decided to confess his romantic feelings for her.

"That's right. I'll tell my true feelings for her once she was about to enter the door." He said determinedly.

The door creaked and revealed the girl he was waiting for, she was panted slowly and catch up her breathe while leaning against the wall.

She opened her one eye and she was in relief that it was only her sempai and none of her brothers were present in this place.

She laughs lightly, "Sorry, sempai. Sensei's was too bossy around me in the school lab that's why, I was a bit late." She said while approaching him.

Ichiru smiled, "It's alright. Haruna-san. You really working hard." That's what he liked about her, she was responsible and very kind to everyone. She was his ideal girl.

A blushed crept from her cheeks, he was so handsome when he smiled like that. Her heart pounded, she was nervous, adrenaline rushed through her chest and her mind was spinning with doubts and worries.

She cleared her throat, "Sempai, for a long time, I've been constantly watching you ever since the first time we met during the first semester in spring…." She recall to him that very night, they met. Ichiru remembers that as well, "Yes, I remember. You were tripped while looking for your first class and I help you." He smiled at the thought of the night he met her.

She opened her mouth, if Ichiru-sempai does remember that night, then probably he…as well, "Sempai, I like you! I like everything about you so please, will you go out with someone like me!" she bravely confessed to him while the moon was covered with thick dense clouds.

The wind was brushing her long, silky strawberry blond hair, it captivates the stunned young man who has been confessed by a rich and beautiful young lady of the Sakamaki Household.

As if he was about to cry, Ichiru ran and embraced the young girl. He didn't expect it, he didn't expect that Haruna Sakamaki like him for a long time and yet, he was ahead of his own feelings as well for her.

"H-Haruna-san, I'm glad."

"Huh?"

He cupped her smooth cheeks and kissed her tenderly on the lips making her eyes widen in shock. The taste of Ichiru's lips was different compare to her brothers whom she usually shared a kiss with. It is warm, soft and…passionate.

He stopped and pressed his forehead on hers, "I loved you, as well, Haruna-san. That's why, I'm really happy that you feel the same way about me despite that I am far from your status." He mentioned to her that he was poor but Haruna didn't mind it.

She shook her head, "It's no big deal. I wanted to be with you, Sempai. I don't care if you're not like the rest of us. You are who you are and that's what I like about you."She was happy, that both of them share the same feelings for each other. She didn't expect it.

They again, both hugged each other and Haruna was happy deep inside that she finally have Ichiru Yagami's heart but there is something that worries her and it was disgraceful and she was filled with guilt.

Images of her having sexually intimate with her brothers and she let them feed her blood was a horror to her. Her fist clench, she knew that her brothers will do everything they can to break their relationship but she will do her best to protect Ichiru from their hands no matter what.

From another building, the Sakamaki brothers was observing the new couple and they couldn't help but to feel angry, amuse and a little jealous.

Laito whistled, "That was a cheesy confession our imouto just said, right Kanato-kun?" his slanted green eyes focus on the angry Kanato while hugging his precious Teddy.

"That bastard…he…he touched Haruna…I'll kill him!" he muttered angrily.

Subaru didn't say anything and just avert his gaze as he couldn't accept the idea that Haruna was with another man.

"Now, now, we are not going to harm that human. We will just observe him on how will he treat Haruna and of course, none of you will tell a soul about her true identity to that human." Reiji told his younger triplet siblings.

Shu's one eye opened at Reiji's suggestion. He seem to disagree about his suggestion.

Ayato gritted his teeth, "But why? He will be so damned surprise if he found out that Haruna's a blood-sucking creature just like us." He imagine the idea of what the human male's expression if he found out that Haruna is a vampire.

The spectacle malevampire glared at him, "No. We can''t do that. We let Haruna to do what she pleases with that human. After all, she's a vampire like us and she couldn't quench the thirst of a mortal's blood if she spent more time with him." He finished with a dark smile on his lips.
