A/N: Boom fast update! Aren't you guys proud? Anyways, I decided to include the war, but in a special way. You guys will see. Muahahahaha

Al:

All day I have been excited to test the new serum again, which is the exact opposite of how I felt using the old simulation. Something about this… makes me feel good, like I am learning and making improvement, and I feel like I am helping my city by testing this.

When I get to the simulation room, the only other person in it is the assistant.

"Where is Jeanine?" I ask

"You are here early. She had something… important to do. I was sent here by myself."

"How old are you?" I ask. He seems so young. Erudite isn't known for young leaders.

"I'm only an initiate. I don't know why Jeanine picked me out if that's what you mean." He says with a small grin. He can't seem to meet my eyes when he talks to me though. He continues.

"You spoke of a girl named Tris yesterday."

"Yes."

"I'd like to know about her. Is Tris her full name?"

"No. it's a nickname. I think her full name starts with a B." I say. He nods.

"What does she look like?"

"We have 15 minutes, I can take you to see-"

"No, that isn't necessary."

"Okay. She is short, with long blond hair and striking blue eyes."

"Oh." His expression is unreadable, "You said you did something terrible to her. What was it?"

"I was jealous. Her enemy, Peter, convinced me to help him try and scare her. We were going to hold her over the Chasm. I didn't know Peter planned to touch her, or try and actually kill her. She never forgave me." The shame of what I did courses through me again. I am such a terrible person. When I look back at the boy, his eyes are wide with shock, and even a little anger.

I'm not sure what to say. Luckily a group of Dauntless followed by Four. The boy gives Four a look. Why? I have absolutely no idea.

Finally after a few very awkward Eric walks in.

"Let's get this started, shall we?" he says while clapping his hands.

I move into the chair, and the boy injects me.

Four:

Since I first walked into the room the assistant has been giving me strange looks. It's making me feel like I am on display. Even worse, I recognize him, though I don't remember from where.

When the screen lights up, I see the training room, and then I see myself, again, except I'm not alone this time. I am kissing Tris. Everyone's eyes land on me. Eric gives me a look that conveys a message like we are having a talk when this is done. But the most shocking is the kid. His eyes land on me with a certain ferocity, like he is peeling me apart layer by layer. And then I notice why he looks so familiar. I've never seen him before, but I've seen those expressions.

My head suddenly aches. I bring my fingers up to my temples, and massage. I am not looking at the screen, or anyone else. But eventually I have to look at the image. I can see the conflict in Al to run up and stop simulation us, or to walk away, and leave us or them alone.

The assistant looks disgusted as he rapidly scribbles notes on his pad.

Al eventually leaves the room with a sort of resignation, and the simulation ends, much quicker than any other simulation of his I've seen before. These new serums have been working very well.

Al:

The simulation was of Tris and Four. It took a while, but I guess I just left eventually. For once I think the simulations actually are giving me something useful for life. If I supposedly love Tris, shouldn't I want her to be happy? She'll be happy with Four. It's not that easy though. I look at him. His back is stick straight, and his mouth is set in a straight line. I can't even imagine how awkward that must have made him feel, especially with Eric and the strange assistant.

"The simulation appears to be working very well. We might have it produced for next year's initiation." The boy says.

"That's very good. You know, I realized we never took you on a tour of Dauntless. Jeanine told me you were going into Simulation science, and since that is so important to us, you should see our compound." Says Eric with false concern. Everything about him is so fake.

"O-Okay." Says the assistant with a shaky voice.

Four:

Eric told us it was mandatory to come with him on the guide. Some of the lower down people managed to sneak off, but I had zero chance of getting away. Absolutely zero.

As Eric narrates the tour, the kid looks around with curious Erudite eyes. The whole time, he is writing down notes on his pad. Why would he need notes? We get to the chasm, and the kid asks,

"Isn't it illogical to have something so dangerous right in the center of the compound? I read that there are an average of three Chasm related deaths in dauntless each year."

"We aren't scared of a river, besides it provides energy, and fresh water to the city." I answer. The kid nods.

"Oh, why don't we introduce him to the initiates? Since we will be testing the serum on all of them after the fear landscape, it makes sense." Eric says.

Okay, I didn't know that, and it's definitely a problem.

"Eric I was never told any of this." I say.

"You don't need to be told everything. Now make yourself useful, and gather all initiates. We will meet in 15 minutes in the training room."

How does he expect me to find all the initiates in 15 minutes? I better start now.

A/N: how was? Please review. I need reviews, otherwise I'm not motivated to continue. No new chapter until I get 2 new review.
