previously: Kagome jumped out of a moving vehicle to escape from Inuyasha. Inuyasha has been arrested.
TWO DAYS LATER
WITH KOUGA AND KAGOME
Kagome finally made it to the hospital. She ended up fracturing a rib and breaking her wrist. Other than those two things, she was good.
"So, Kagome how are you feeling today" Kouga asked.
"I am feeling better, now that you are here" Kagome said.
Kouga smiled and leaned down and kissed her.
There was a knock on the door so, Kouga pulled away.
"Yes" Kagome said.
"Ms. Kagome, my name is Clark. I am here with divorce papers" Clark said.
"What do you mean. I never filed for a divorce yet" Kagome said.
"Your ex husband, he's the one that filed it" Clark said.
Kagome looked confused at Mark. "What do you mean he filed for divorce" Kagome asked.
"Here is a letter that he wrote to you" Clark said as he handed the letter to Kagome.
Kagome took the letter and started to read it.
Dear, Kagome
I am so sorry for what I have done to you. I have never meant to hit you or almost kill you. The last couple of days I have done alot of thinking. I am not a changed man or anything. I just wanted to say how sorry I am. I feel so bad that I put you through all of this. My lawyer came in today to talk about my case but, I told him there is no case because, I am guilty. I think some time in jail will do me some good. I can finally get the help that I need. In return for your happiness I filed for a divorce. You need and deserve a man like Kouga. I am so sorry for wasting your life. I am so sorry for all the pain and suffering I caused you. I am also sorry for cheating on you. I wish I was a better man but, as you know from experience that I am not. I wish you the best of luck

Kagome put the letter down and looked at Clark. "Did he really write this" Kagome asked.
"Yes. he wrote it in front of me" Clark said.
"Okay, may I have the paper's" Kagome asked.
"Of course" Clark said.
Kagome signed all the papers and gave Clark the paper's back. "How long till I am legal divorced" Kagome asked.
"It will be a couple of weeks" Clark said.
"Will you do me a favor" Kagome asked.
"Yes" Clark said.
Kagome took off her ring and handed it to Clark. "Give this back to Inuyasha and tell him it's meant for the woman that he loves" Kagome said.
"Will do" Clark said as he walked out.
Kagome smiled and looked at Kouga and said "He does have a good side to him in a way"
Kouga smiled and said " I guess he does".
TWO WEEKS LATER
Kagome was cooking dinner for her and Kouga when there was knock at their door. Kagome put the knife down and walked over to the door. She opened the door and saw Clark standing there. "Hello, Clark" Kagome said.
"Hello Kagome, I am here to tell you that you are finally legally divorced" Clark said.
Kagome smiled and gave Clark a hug. Clark turned around and left. Kagome walked back to the kitchen and continued cooking dinner. Kagome put dinner on the table and went to wake Kouga up from his nap.
Kagome kissed Kouga on the lips. When she pulled away she said " Dinner is ready"
Kouga smiled and said "Okay"
They both sat at the table. Kagome looked at Kouga and said " Guess what"
"You finally like your safe" Kouga said.
"Well yeah but, I am legally divorced" Kagome said.
"Hey, that good news" Kouga said.
They finished their dinner. They both cleaned up the kitchen together. After that was done they put on a movie and snuggled on the couch. Both glad that they can finally move on with their life together.
