OH GOD I AM SO SORRY! I write all of my fanfics on my trusty iPod which my mother has held captive for quite some time. But you guessed it! Snake eyes is now off of hiatus and back on! Yay! Now i realize I stated I was going to start other story's but clearly that didn't not happen. I'm going to take it slow and finish snake eyes. And don't worry the lemon I mentioned earlier is yet to come. I would like to hug and thank everyone who has fav and followed the story and those that were patient enough to wait for me. Now I have watched the movie LUCY which gave me some really great ideas on how to "update" Alari's abilities. As you all know I divided it up into categories such as shapeshifter, the elements... And so on. I'm not going to take those out but I am going to tweak them. Oh I should also point out that in chapter eight I stated that Alari had been out for 3 months but my calculations happen to be wrong. Since she was captured in late spring and awakened in November it should really be about 5 to 6 months.

"Ta da!" I said sarcastically.

Snake who normally was so submissive stood before me with a cold hard look in his eyes. It was the same look he gave to those he didn't trust. Those he loathed. He was normally so calm but now I could feel the pain flowing from him. Ever since Mera's damned experiment every thing around me had become intensified. Everything. What people felt. How I felt. Sound. Smells. Tastes. Eyesight. I could hear thoughts among the mind of humans. I could predict what was about to happen. What had happened in the past. Fears. Joy. I didn't feel pain. Intact with a sudden realization I didn't feel anything. It was all just a state of mind. But still. All of this made my head pound. My body, mind and spirit were hypersensitive.

I looked up into his eyes. He looked hurt. I could feel his hurt. Green eyes like fire. He opened his mouth to say something but I cut him off.

"I'm not the guilty party" I said. Eyes staring into his. Voice flat and ears perked. He gaped for a moment before taking a step back.

"What did they do to you" he muttered. I didn't need to look to know people were starting to stare. But who wouldn't want to stare at the odd animal people. I noticed the little snake curled around his ear and my heart double beat.

"Yea Mera..." I hissed knowing he could hear. "What did you do to me" The unsettling thoughts of the people around grew more and more uncomfortable. There thoughts on my words, there unease flooded me. I didn't have the chance to turn before Rem blocked my path.

"Did you not listen to a damn word I said!" He hissed under his breath before putting a swift arm around my shoulders and casually as not to disturb the guests dragged me away. Until we were out of the room I kept my mouth shut but the moment we hit the hall I turned on him. Snarling I forced him into the wall hands pressed firmly into his shoulders.

"Alari calm down." He said but I only bared my teeth at him.

"Look I told him not to. I knew this would happen." He sighed trying to push me away. My nails pressed into the soft fabric of his shirt pierced through hitting flesh. I watched him wince. But then his eyes widened. He grinned, swung his arm up grabbing my throat and spinning me around so that I was now pinned against the wall.

"Now now kitty behave" he sneered. "Mera won't harm a little hair on your head"

"Like I should believe that!"

"You have so much going for you Alari more than I do. More than Beyond. Mera's training you. He wants to see how far you can go"

"Why and what do you mean by so much?" I hissed. He loosened his grip on me and spoke softly.

"I'm going to tell you a little secret. Mera was only able to open 80 % for me and Beyond. But you somehow reached full potential. He won't kill you. But he will test you Alari so keep your eyes and ears open." He said before grabbing me firmly by the wrist and tugging my back to my room. At my door I stopped him.

"80%" I murmured.

"Your one of a kind Alari" he whispered. My ears pricked and my stomach twisted. A strange feeling washed over me as he opened the door and pushed me in. I turned back to him as he was closing the door. His presence, expression and pretty well everything about him told exactly what I was thinking.

"Make it count kid" he grinned and winked before shutting the door and striding off. I stood in the middles of the room, eyes closed and tense. I could hear him. Moving in the shadows, in the air ducts and the pipes. I focused on him. I slowly opened my eyes to see him eyes glinting. I smiled and walked over stretching out my arm.

"Keats!" I purred as he curled himself around my arm stretching his face to mine. His tongue flicking. I walked over to the bed where I placed him. He slithered over to the bed post and curling up it. I changed out of my dress into something a little more maneuverable. Long black skin right pants. Knee high lace up boots, a black corset and a long black tail coat. I went and moved to sit in the middle of the floor. I knew what I had to do.

"If I can control 100% then I can do this." I sat there for a while contemplating on where to begin. It took a great deal to force myself to be calm. My damned senses wouldn't would give me any peace and quiet. When I figured how to change the element matters within my body the shift came easy. I needed something that was fast and stealthy.

I stretched out my tiny black paws with a yawn. The figure of a cat would do just fine. I hopped over to Keats, letting him curl around my neck before I searched for a way out.

"Huuppp tthheerree" Keats hissed in my ear. He was pointing to a small opening in the vent duct.

After several failed attempts I finally pulled my body through the opening careful of Keats. It was rather tight but it would have to do. Keats slithered to the ground and instructed for me to follow. My ears twitched with every little sound. I could could feel the vibrations within the vent walls. The unknown voices from inside the manor eased into my head. I shook my head.

"Where are we going Keats?" I meowed.

"Nooootttt muucchhhh fuuurrthherrr" he hissed almost silently. We where right over the ball room now. An opening in the vent wall allowed me to peer down. I could see Phantomhive and close beside him was Sebastian. On the lords other side stood Snake. A mixture of feels wafted up from below. Mostly joy and happiness from the crowd. The slight annoyed from the earl and the heavy weight of pain from Snake. I couldn't help but wince.

"Cooommmmmeeee oooonnnnnn" Keats hissed at me. I shook my head once again and continued on. Keats led me to an opening in the vents in the laundry room. I squeezed out after him making a hasty landing on the cold floor. I ran across the floor to Keats nudging him up. He twirled along my neck.

"I know where to go!" I mewed finally getting a sense of direction even though I had never been down here. I slipped through a small gap in the wall that led outside. Snow had come down quiet thickly and while it was snowing anymore it looked deep. I breathed in the cool air and followed my nose hopping through the deep snow to the Phantomhive carriage. My breath clouded out around me. Once at the carriage I say for a moment with Keats still wrapped around my neck.

"Hhheeeeeesssss ccccooooommmmmiiiinnngggg" Keats hissed in my ear breaking our silence. I glanced over to the lean figure of Snake who was making his way over.

"We need to hide!" I hopped up onto the carriage and scooted under the drivers seat. It was cold but it was like I didn't feel it. I wasn't shivering but I wasn't warm either. My hiding spot wasn't exactly the best. It took only a few moment for Snake to notice me. By that time Keats was gone. Snake reached forward with a hand clamping down gently on my scruff pulling me out. I didn't resist. He held my up in front of his face. He stared for just a moment before realization washed over.

"Alari..." He breathed. I meowed. He climbed up into the drivers seat and pulled off the bag from around his shoulder. He set the bag down by the drivers seat and opened it revealing the rest of his snakes. The snakes slithered over making a space. I was plopped into the bag. Keats then appeared behinds and just before Snake closed the bag he leaned down.

"I'd know those pretty green eyes anywhere" he mumbled latching the bag closed and darkness washed over. I kept my ears pricked as Snake whipped the horses into motion. The ride was bumpy and I had to dig my claws into the fabric of the bag. Once we were out of the thick snow the ride became smoother and I relaxed a bit more. After a moment we stopped and Snake and I listened as snake got down from the drivers seat and opened the door. I heard the hissed voices of the earl and his butler. We started to move again and I curled up in the bag. The snakes settled around me huddling against my warmth.

I didn't know I had dozed off until the bag jostled and my eyes snapped open. The snakes spilled on top of me. I gave a startled mew.

"Sorry!" He whispered loudly. It was silent as I pushed out my senses. I didn't get very far as the slamming of a door broke my concentration. His footsteps indicated he was inside. I stayed quiet as another door opened. The bag I was in was placed down and opened. Bright light filtered in and I squinted.

"Sorry" Snake mumbled as I climbed out. I stretched and yawned. The snakes slithered out after me. I hopped up onto the bed and sat facing him. He stared at me curiously. I licked a paw and rubbed it over my face. He still stared. I blinked over at him from my spot on the bed.
