Currently using the full effect of her Yamato Nadeshiko persona, Kaname was on her best behavior in front of Itachi and their respective clans. Eternally grateful for the training the lady Hyuuga gave her when the woman caught wind of just how threatening her politeness could be, the black eyed girl made cordial conversation. All the while trying to ignore the sight of Hinata trying to climb Itachi like a tree so that the baby could play with his hair.

Internally screaming as an elder from the Uchiha clan approached her just as she made a move to get Hinata away from the boy under the pretense of "politeness", Kaname politely dipped her head and offered up a smile.

Itachi had better make sure to treat Hinata like she was a national treasure or else he'd live to regret it for the rest of his stupid marriage to her.

Watching her - more than likely - husband to be walk over to her with Hinata held firmly in his arms, he sat down to the left of her and smiled.

"I believe this is yours." He said to her and despite wanting to jealously yank her cousin away from the boy, she didn't.

Instead, she took one look at Hinata, held out her hands and was pleased to note that even though Itachi had caught her attention that Kaname was still her favorite. Although despite the change in location, the young heiress still stared wide eyed at Itachi's short but luxurious hair.

"It seems that she's enamored by your appearance," She smirked out from beneath her benign smile. "your hair to be exact."

Almost as if used to the observation, the dark haired boy gave a shallow dip of his head.

"Aa, Sasuke has the same qualms." Itachi admitted as his fingered his locs. "His fascination was something I have never fully understood."

Kaname allowed a smile to curl on her lips. It was strange how naive a boy who had already taken a life, could be. It was almost fascinating.

"Some things that children do aren't for us to understand." She joked mildly as she watched Itachi's older cousin draw near. "It's all apart of the mystery - hello Shisui-san."

"Kaname-chan!" The boy pouted. "You can call me Shi-kun! Shisui-san makes me feel old!"

"But aren't you?" She said from behind the rim of her tea cup so no one but the boys around her could pick up on her banter.

Shisui let out an offended gasp as his hand flew to his chest as if to assuage a pain.

"I am offended!" He yelped. "I'm not that much older than you two!"

Giving him a patented enigmatic Hyuuga smile - that clearly told him that Kaname was humoring him - the black eyed girl dipped her head.

"Of course," She all but purred. "Shisui-san."

Looking off to the side the elder Uchiha sighed before looking down at Kaname's lap and giving a little aw.

"Is that the little hime?" He asked and Kaname resisted the urge to curl herself around her cousin. So she was getting possessive? Sue her.

"This is Hinata, yes." She answered as forced herself not to lean away as Shisui leaned forward.

"Hi Hime-sama!" Shisui chirped and for a second Hinata was silent as she tilted her head to the side and contemplated the new comer.

All was still before the young heiress gave a tiny giggle and held her hands out - to which Kaname felt her brow twitch at.

Shisui, though, to his credit hadn't attempted to ask to hold Hinata, instead he sat down in front of them and cooed to the clapping baby.

"You looked like you would go for my jugular if I had even so much as pantomimed picking her up." Shisui laughed with a sly glance. "It's a look I see on Itachi frequently whenever someone manages to earn Sasuke's approval."

Smiling beautifully, Kaname met the gaze of the boy across from her.

"I have no idea what you're talking about Shisui-san." She told him as if sugar wouldn't melt in her mouth and he snorted. "Now would you like some tea and scones?"

"Might as well." He shrugged as he wiggled his fingers in front of Hinata's face - to which the girl giggled madly at. "What kind do you have?"

"Earl grey and strawberry filled." She told him as she properly poured two cups. "Itachi?"

Her husband to be took a seat to Shisui's left as he gave a nod to her unspoken question and she nudged the drinks and treats towards the two boys.

And perhaps they managed a few minutes of quiet solitude before an excited 'Itachi!' slide into the air and Kaname looked up to view a bright faced Uchiha girl wander over.

"Itachi-kun!" The girl grinned and to her intrigue, said boy gave a small smile back.

"Izumi-chan." He nodded as his eyes flashed to hers and he gestured over.

"May I introduce to you Hyuuga Kaname," He said as polite as can be. "my betrothed."

Now Kaname could read people better than most - which was a given when living with people who hid emotions better than most - and if she wasn't mistaken then what had flashed on Izumi's face was something close to jealousy.

Her eyebrow quirked up an undetectable inch.

Well now, wasn't this interesting?

I have decided to give Kaname one Sharingan eye and one Byakugan eye, which when she gets it will devastate her for so many reasons lol. Imagine the custody battles that are going to take place. There will be complications in using her eyes and it will cause a lot of political unrest. I can't wait to write that out lmao.

Sorry this chapter is so short. I am in university currently and running short on fuel. Hopefully the next chapter will be longer.
