Cheerleader Mess

Bella and Alice knew something would happen because of the incident with the cheerleaders during lunch, but they didn't know what exactly would happen, or when. For the most part classes progressed in a manner which allowed them to not have any problems, but they could hear the rumors flying regarding the fact they blamed Jean. Alice wrinkled up her nose. "Well, it is her fault that incident happened, but she's allowed to get away with saying she didn't do anything because they don't know about her ability. She gets to play innocent, when she's not. That's so not fair."

"I know. Jean is absolutely evil, not to mention self centered. I don't understand why Scott even likes her, but then again she was at the mansion before me, and was the first female mutant he met his age. Hopefully he grows out of that crush of his, and sees the light."

The two girls heard the final bell ring, and headed to their lockers in order that they could retrieve their books, so they could do their homework. They for a moment thought that they had managed to avoid the cheerleaders, but on turning around they saw the girls glaring at them, the one who had the drink spilled on her obviously miffed at the fact they were getting away scotch free, no questions asked. The girl pointed at her. "You should at least pay for dry cleaning, and the drama it caused!"

"Yeah, you made Kelsey feel dramatized about the whole event."

Bella rolled her eyes and let out a sigh. "Really? I believe you mean trama, not drama."

"I meant what I meant, so don't you dare try getting out of your accident." The girl took a deep breath. "You owe me big time, and my parents will make sure that you get expelled or something."

Alice frowned. "Right there you even mention the fact it is an accident, and thus we can't be held accountable for what happened. Plus, you can get suspended or expelled for an accident, let alone detention. You girls are just full of yourself."

"Hell, as if you know how to pay attention! It's your fault, thus you pay!" Kelsey swung out to slap Alice across the cheek, but Bella grabbed her arm.

"I do believe physical violence against another student is grounds though for suspension, or expulsion."

"As if we'd get in trouble! You girls are the ones who started it!"

"If you really thought you could get away with this, you would have fought us in the cafeteria, but here you are hoping to not make a scene. Really, can the attitude. Not as if you could take me on, and I'll stand between you and Alice, not to mention let the principle know exactly what happened!"

"Still..."

"Knock it off."

The cheerleaders stopped upon hearing a male voice, and they turned their head to look at the three boy's standing there. A young man with an accident followed up what Scot said. "Hi, I may be new here, but isn't it a bit unfair to be ganging up on someone. On top of this, why beat them up."

"She spilled a drink on my uniform!"

"It was an accident."

"Hell as if it were."

"Hey!" Jasper snapped out. "Seriously leave my sister alone! Why can't you bitches get that it was an accident and lay off."

Kelsey's cheeks blushed up. "Wait, she's your sister? Um... sorry."

"Don't apologize to me. I'm not the one you're being rude to."

Kelsey turned, and choked out an apology to Bella and Alice, and the cheerleaders left, muttering something about Jasper being cute. The new guy reached out and shook their hands, introducing him as Kurt. They all headed out to Scott's car, and Scott turned to look at the girls. "Be more careful. The cheerleaders here can be nasty."

"You should tell that to Jean. She's the one who caused the drink to spill." Bella leaned back, and they drove off towards the mansion.

"Jean wouldn't...

"She did." Alice looked at the ground. "I don't get why she's so... well, I don't know. She doesn't like me."

"What is there not to like about you?" Jasper looked back at his sister, who was in between Bella and Kurt. His eyes narrowed. "Hey, this wouldn't happen to have anything to do with the fact I was sent on the trip, but she wasn't? That's completely unfair, as that was the Professor's decision."

Scott let out a sigh. "I'll have a word with her. No, I'll let the Professor know so that he can have a word with her. I don't really have much of an influence over Jean, as she's rather... I don't know how to put it. She tends to really just think of herself in the long run. Shoot..." Scott let out a sigh. "Sorry for not realizing that sooner."

The care pulled into the mansion, and Kurt spoke up. "So... well, since we're all being truthful and all, there is something I need to show you guys." The teen took a deep breath, and pressed the button on his watch, revealing the sleek blue fur. Bella gave him a rather uninterested look, but Alice's cheeks flushed a bright red, before she quickly unbuckled her seatbelt, and bolted over Bella, falling out of the car when she opened the door. She then hurried off, a few tears from hitting the floor hard like she did falling from the corners of her eyes.

Kurt let out a sigh. "Well, not everyone likes me."

The boy poofed, leaving a sulfuric smell behind. Jasper stared after the boy, and placed a palm to his hand. "What? No... actually, I think Alice is crushing on him. She's always had a penchant for soft furry things, and this is a guy who is soft, and furry. Dang."

Scott shook his head in amusement. "I'd say, let's play matchmaker, but let's see if they can settle things on their own first."

Note: The third in the series will be Project X-iii: Football Frogie Antics.
