"Yep, but what are we going to do now?" I asked. I looked at Thunder's body, his brown body lifting up steadily.
"I think we should look for our real father." Pixie said. "But we'd have to leave Willow Creek!"
"Pixie! Riptide!" Mud Tail cried. "Thunder's evolving!"
"What?!" I gasped. Mud Tail looked over Thunder's shuddering body as a white aura gathered around it.
Suddenly, Pixie dropped to the ground as well. Her teeth gritted as she started convulsing.
That could only mean I was next.
"Two evolving at the same time? Does that happen often?" I asked Mud Tail.
"In siblings, yes. You might want to sit down though so you don't hurt yourself when you fall!" Mud Tail said.
I caught onto his last words when suddenly I felt every muscle tighten in my body. I gasped and fell under the infuriating pain.
It felt like fire consumed me, may I be evolving into a Flareon?
My blurred vision caught onto Pixie's pink ribbons. Sylveon suited her anyway.
Then I saw Thunder's yellow fur and knew he was Jolteon.
I threw my head back and yowled, I felt my fur sharpen and my muzzle grow in size. My ears felt like they were being yanked by a thousand claws. I looked down at my body as I convulsed.
Scales, I was turning into a Vaporeon.
My vision disappeared and all I saw was white flashes. I flipped up and dug my claws into the dirt, yelling as loud as my lungs let me.
I felt searing pain as I finally dropped and closed my eyes. I gave a hiss of pain and my body tightened again. It was done, but the pain stayed around.
"Riptide? Riptide? It's Mud Tail!" a voice cried. "You're a Vaporeon!"
"I kn-" I yelled and kicked at the pain my new body gave me when I tried to speak.
"Is everything OK?"
Felis, but her voice sounds different?
I opened an eye and saw a Liepard with a curved body and a sleek fur pelt.
It was Felis.
"Riptide and his siblings evolved." Mud Tail said. "He's the Vaporeon."
I barely opened both eyes and saw Felis lay down beside me.
"You evolved." Felis said.
"And so did you." I replied. "Our evolutions weren't far apart!"
"I still feel pain from it, it was only an hour ago." Felis said. "Let me lay beside you."
Felis prodded my chest with her paw, it slightly stung, but not enough. She curled up so her body was against mine, her tail twined with mine. I felt a purr from her body.
Suddenly, I felt something too. Like it wasn't bad that Felis liked me, and I liked Felis. Was it the evolution?
Her head turned, and she touched her nose to mine. I felt a wave of affection sweep over me, and I licked her cheek and purred back.
Felis left me after a bit. I had enough strength to get up and see the Sylveon and Jolteon that are my silbings. I got up and left.
I walked across one of the many rivers in Willow Creek, Martha extended her wings and perched on a branch near me.
"You evolved too?" Martha gasped. I looked at the river, seeing my sleek blue fur-scales and my fins.
"Who else evolved?" I asked.
"Reynard and Iquana evolved into Charmeleons and Sea Coral evolved into a Greninja!" Martha's eyes glowed. "This is a fantastic day! Did your siblings evolve too?"
"Yes." I replied.
"How wonderful! I bet your parents are so proud of you!" Martha smiled.
I flinched, my eyes lowered.
"Let me show you something. Climb onto my back!" Martha ordered. I climbed onto Martha's back. Her wings extended and she took flight.
Martha flew over clouds and we flew past the Bandits territory till a broken stack of logs big enough to be seen from a bird's eye-view appeared. Martha folded her wings and dived.
I hooked my claws onto her shoulders to prevent myself from spiraling into the sky, I felt the wind threatening to force me off. Before we were about to hit the trees, Martha opened up her wings again and we flew back, almost making me fall.
She steadily flew down and landed feet away from the broken stack of logs, I jumped off her and noticed her eyes were glowing.
"What is it you wanted to show me?" I asked.
"The Willow Creek Academy of Warriors, or WCAW." Martha purred. "Decade ago, it used to be a beautiful academy designed by Sensei Claw Strike for Pokemon to fight to their greatest to fight off the legendary Kyruem. I was a little Vullaby here, training. You know why I am greatly respected in Willow Creek? Because I defeated this Kyruem."
I blinked.
"How come I've never heard of this?!" I gasped.
"The Bandits territory borders the remnants of WCAW, which were destroyed by Kyruem." Martha explained. "I never had kids because my parents wanted me and my sister to become warriors that they could be proud of."
"Where's your sister?" I asked.
Martha looked down and her feathers ruffled.
"Gone." Martha whispered. "She's gone."
"I'm sorry" I said.
"MARTHA!"
I recognized the male Talonflame as he fell from the sky beside Martha.
"Kludd? What are you doing here?!" Martha asked.
"THE BANDITS, THEY'RE ATTACKING!" Kludd yelled.
Martha's eyes widened, she threw me on her back and followed Kludd into the sky.
Martha followed Kludd, me hanging on her back barely.
Suddenly, a great ball of fire went past Kludd and hit Martha.
Martha screeched, and I fell. Noticing the attacker as one of the Bandits: A female Charizard named Sharp Eye.
I yelled Martha's name as I was falling from the sky. My entire body was shaking and I knew if I landed, I would die.
But I'm a Vaporeon, I have the power of water.
As the trees of the Willow Creek came into view, I shot water from my mouth. I kept falling.
Maybe staying in the sky on a beam of water wouldn't work, maybe I'll just die.
I fell past the trees, I closed my eyes. Expecting the sharp but quick death of impact.
I didn't, I felt..hands. I turned around to see what was holding me.
It was the human girl.
