Finally, we are at the date chapter, which should have come, like, five chapter's ago. But I wanted Breakdown and Knockout in it too, so I had to introduce them first. Then I had the phantom thing and the Halloween thing…but no more distractions. Let's get on with the story.

It had been nearly six months since Icy had passed Slipstream's little test for him, yet they hadn't gone on the agreed date. At first Slipstream thought that Icy just forgot about it, and she wasn't about to remind him. If Icy wanted a date with her so badly then he should be able to remember it himself.

Icy actually did remember the date, how could he have forgotten when he was the one who wanted to go out with Slipstream in the first place? No, he was merely waiting for the right time, because chances are that he'd only get one date with Slipstream, and he needed to make it count. So he waited until mid-December before he actually set up an actual date for the date.

Slipstream had left her house earlier then planned that Saturday morning; she and Icy had agreed to meet at the park at noon and there was still an hour until then, but Slipstream couldn't stand her brother's bugging her for another second. They always acted more obnoxious then usual when she went out on a date. She had been planning on waiting a while until Icy got there, but she was surprised to find that Icy was already waiting for her.

"Icy, what are you doing here?" Slipstream asked as she got closer to him, "We weren't supposed to meet for another hour."

"For zhe same reason zhat jou're here early." Icy says blankly, "My brozher's vere driving me crazy."

Slipstream smirked a bit and said, "Well we're both here now, so let's get this thing started." Slipstream started walking for a bit, then she turned around and said, "Where exactly are we going anyways?"

Icy shook his head and said "Zhat depends, vhere do jou zhink ve should go?" Slipstream thought for a second, but she quickly decided what they should do.

"Why don't we go ice skating?" She suggested, "it's not something we get to do much, so why not?"

Icy seemed hesitant, but he agreed to going ice skating. Slipstream led the way to an outdoor ice skating rink nearby and was quick to get on the ice. Icy was slower to get ice ready then Slipstream was, so she skated solo for a few minutes, and she loved every second of it.

Slipstream may have only gone ice skating a handful of times, but she was swift and surprisingly graceful on the ice. Slipstream spent those few minutes skating around the rink, pushing past people who were going too slow and laughing at people who couldn't even stand up straight on the ice. Icy finally joined her a few minutes later and Slipstream was surprised to see that he seemed a bit shaky

"What's wrong with you?" Slipstream asks. "Are you nervous of being on the ice?"

"Of course I'm not." Icy says coldly, "I can skate…just not that vell."

"So Icy isn't so good on the ice," Slipstream says humorously, "talk about irony." Slipstream then started skating around Icy, "It's not like this is a hard thing to do, you just gotta do it."

"Zhat's easier said zhen done." Icy says moodily,

"Forget it Icy," Slipstream says, "I'm not going to hold myself back because you can't skate." With that Slipstream started skating away, leaving Icy behind her. Icy wasn't about to be left behind though, so he started following her, trying to copy her movements and the way that she moved. If she could do it so easily then perhaps if Icy copied her movements then he'd be able to do it too. Icy was surprised that after a few minutes he was actually getting better at this, and Slipstream had noticed it too.

"See Icy? I told you it's easy." Slipstream says as she turns and starts skating backwards so that she's facing Icy. She did this partially so she could actually talk with Icy, and partially to show off that show off that she was better then him, which he already knew. They skated like this for another half hour, but then both of their feet started hurting so they decided to stop.

Neither of them felt like eating anything, so they instead went someplace to get some hot chocolate and then went walking outside with their drinks. It was a chilly, but not unbearably cold day and the two teens thoroughly enjoyed walking in the snow. Winter was both Slipstream's and Icy's favorite season, they both liked the snow and would rather be cold then hot.

The two of them spent the next few hours just walking around the town, going where ever they felt like and talking to each other. It didn't really feel like a date for either of them, it felt more like they were just hanging out and wasn't awkward at all. Icy wasn't sure whether this was a good thing of a bad thing.

At about three in the afternoon they headed back to Slipstream's house. But when they opened the door they saw a very strange sight. Everyone, all of their siblings, Knockout, and Breakdown, was there and all of them were yelling about something. The younger kids might have been playing a game of sorts, but it was hard to tell. Then there was Hothead, who looked like he wanted nothing more then to punch Knockout in the face.

No one had noticed when Slipstream and Icy got in the house, and they were glad that they hadn't been noticed. Slipstream led Icy into a different room, without being spotted, so that they could actually hear themselves think.

"Well, Icy," Slipstream says, "I actually really enjoyed myself today."

"Jou sound so surprised about zhat." Icy says.

"Because I am." Slipstream says, "I usually hate dates, they're just way too forced. This felt more normal, so it was much more enjoyable then one of this ridiculous formal things."

"I agree," Icy says, "Vhat vould be zhe point of going out vith somevon jou like if neither of jou act normal?"

"Exactly." Slipstream agrees. "Anyways, I had fun, and wouldn't mind doing something like that again." Slipstream smiles slyly at Icy and then leaves the room. Just after she left Icy did something that he rarely ever does…he smiled.

And there you have it, the date. I like it and hope you liked it too. There will actually be two more chapters about what the others were doing while Slipstream and Icy had their date.
