Chapter 9 (10)
Hey again guys! 3 years, no see! Hehe sorry….
I'm hoping old followers aren't too disappointed with this chapter, which I actually wrote a whole year ago in hopes I would take up writing again, and just really quickly edited just now.
And I hope new followers are happy that they finally gave me the push I needed to start writing again!
You'll hear again from me soon! That's a promise ;)
Disclaimer: no own. No no
Soon after they had set off, he called to a ridiculously happy Alanna, skipping ahead of him, "Oi, Baka!" She turned around, a small smile still on her face. He took the bag and tossed it to her. She caught it effortlessly and gave him a questioning look. "Keep it, it's too bothersome" he said. Her smiled widened yet again. She knew the real meaning behind it. He trusted her with it. She waited for Kanda to catch up to her with those long strides he strode. Hence forth, she skipped. All the way to the motel. A good damn distance away.
Toma; still at the motel:
Toma spotted a lady through the glass doors of the motel entrance. Her many layers of skirt were lifted an inch off the ground, and she was walking as fast as her heels would allow. She quickly looked around, seemingly for the motel, he guessed, because as soon as she saw the motel name, she gave her skirts anther hefty pull and rushed toward it.
Breathlessly, she reached him. "Umm... Excuse me... Sorry to disturb you, but are you from The Black Order?" She asked, her eyes big in hope.
"Yes, I am. Why do you ask?" He had a suspicious feeling, but that wasn't unusual.
"I saw two exorcists meeting with a woman who was leaving town. It seemed like she wasn't giving them any information to them." Toma nodded, not quiet understanding what point the woman was trying to get across.
"I saw them while I was in my carriage, and quite a while ago, so I inquired in town and they said they were staying here. So, I need to tell you", Toma nodded, anxious to know.
She took a deep breath and continued. "I was with my friends a few days ago, out to lunch, when I saw two tall men walk in, Portuguese, I guessed. They looked like brothers. They were talking, and my friend went over and started flirting with them, being the little charming one that she is. I overheard them talking about some sort of creatures attacking here soon. They kept saying this...this WORD, over and over again... Oh, Lord, what was it?" She started muttering to herself, trying to recall it. But Toma knew what she was talking about.
"Akuma?" He gently asked. The woman's head shot up.
"YES! How did you-?" She eyed him suspiciously. He smiled.
"Ma'am, thank you so much. This is exactly the kind if information those two exorcists were looking to get out of the people. Good day." Toma bowed slightly and excused himself. Out of the corner of his eye he saw the woman standstill, confused, shake her head, and then start to trot back down the road. The click clack of her heels seemed odd against the eerie quiet of the lobby,
He went back to their rented rooms and connected his phone to Kanda and Alanna's golems. The line was fuzzy for a while, but it connected.
"What?" Kanda was first to speak.
"Hello?" Alanna said.
"I have information on suspicious activity, where are the two of you?" He asked.
"We are a mile southeast the motel, it'll take us around... Five minutes to get there..." Alanna's voice spoke out.
"Okay, see you then." He disconnected the line.
Okay, I'm starting slow! Sorry about that
