Are You Sure?

"You know it's supposed to be the girl laying on top of the boy, not the other way around," Shiho groaned as she wiggled underneath Shinichi's heavy body.

Shinichi pulled himself up a little and gave his girlfriend a lop-sided grin, "Aww c'mon, I'm not that heavy, mademoiselle," he pressed his lips against her forehead before tucking her in his arms and switching their positions, "Better?"

"Much better. I couldn't breathe under your massive weight," she sighed in content as the boy grunted in disapproval.

"Oi oi, you weren't complaining twenty minutes ago," he glared at her playfully.

His hands gently grasped her waist as he pushed her up against his body causing their eyes to meet at the same level.

Shiho stared at her boyfriend questioningly as she noticed a smirk on his face. "And what is making you smile like that, Shinichi?"

"Hmm, I don't know. Maybe because I can do this," he hooked his finger underneath her chin and captured her lips in a sweet kiss.

Shiho gasped at the unexpectedness from the kiss but relaxed moments later as she returned it back.

Shinichi was the first to break away as he stared intently into her captivating eyes, "Shiho?"

"Hmm?"

"I…I lo-…"

A finger pressed against his lips, "Hush Shinichi," Shiho chuckled softly at his confused expression, "I know and that's all that matters right now." She removed her finger and slowly lifted herself up off of him. "I'm heading into the kitchen for a glass of water. You want something?"

He shook his head as he sat upright on the sofa, "No thanks. I'm good."

Shinichi watched her go inside the kitchen when his cellphone vibrated. He pulled the device from his pocket. It was a picture message from one of his former girlfriends.

Former girlfriend? He deleted all of his contacts…didn't he?

He clicked open the message in mild interest. "Oh…hell no." Shinichi gaped at the picture of his ex-girlfriend, Mouri Ran. Beneath the picture there was a caption that read: You and I tonight at my place. My father is out of town for a few days. Don't leave me waiting, Shinichi.

Fingers ghosted around a button when a voice called out behind him.

"Are you going to meet up with her?"

Shinichi instantly turned around in horror, "N-No! Of course not! I…I was ab-about to delete the message," he spluttered. He returned back to his phone and instantly deleted the message without hesitation.

Shiho rose an eyebrow as she came around the sofa and sat beside him. "Oh really? Why is she in your contact? Better yet, why is she expecting you tonight?"

The boy began to sweat as an evil aura emitted from his girlfriend. "I don't know to be honest," he gulped while fingering his necktie.

She glared at him with a frown. "Why so nervous? Were you seeing her behind my back?"

"No, I swore to never cheat on you," Shinichi grasped her hand and placed a tiny kiss on the back. "She's history and so are the other girls. I thought I had erased all of the necessary contacts." Releasing her hand, he slowly pulled Shiho into his lap.

"Look at me," he commanded softly, "Shiho…" he cupped her cheek and turned her face to his direction.

Shiho gazed back at him. Inwardly, she sighed since she knew what was coming. Once you've become a playboy their ways become hard to dissipate. However, in Shinichi's case, his fan base and ex-girlfriends will continue to be in the picture and she will be their main target.

"Baka," she finally spoke, "You're nothing but trouble, aren't you?"

Shinichi stared at her dumbfounded, "Eh? What you mean?"

"It seems that none of your old flames take you seriously on staying a one-woman man."

An all-knowing smirk spread across his lips, "Ah so you are jealous!" He chuckled when she threw a glower at him, "Don't worry mademoiselle, let Casanova take care of that for you," he crooned before brushing his lips upon hers.

"Are you sure?" She whispered against him.

"You have my word."

The next day…

Homeroom

"Hey there lover boy! Haven't heard from you at all yesterday after school, what happened? You were with Miyano?" Kaito grinned mischievously at his friend who was throwing him a dirty look from his desk.

"Suck it, Kuroba. How about you find a girl for yourself," Shinichi blanched, turning his attention back to Shiho who looked fairly amused.

Kaito huffed in annoyance, "I would but someone damn near dated the entire female population and to make matters worse, I look like that someone," he hissed.

Before Shinichi could reply, Heiji smacked the teen upside the head, "Shut up unless you'll be swimming with the fishes…literally."

Turning pale at the mention of that horrific word, Kaito kept his mouth shut. Shinichi sent a gratified smile towards Heiji and snorted in satisfaction from Kaito's reaction.

"You're evil," Shiho spoke up at the grinning boy.

"He deserved it," he said defensively, "Anyway, I was thinking, tomorrow's Saturday, wanna relax at the park?"

"Kudo, what did I tell you about flirting?!" The homeroom teacher made his way into the classroom.

Shinichi sighed and glanced at Shiho with a wry smile who was now facing the window, "Heh, sorry sensei."

Mr. Hideo placed his books on the table then looked up at his students. "Class, we have a new student today. So please welcome her. You may come in now." He addressed to the unknown person behind the door.

Immediately all the boys were excited at the mention of another girl coming into their class, all except for one.

The door opened slowly as the figure stepped inside timidly. Gasps were heard. Heiji's and Kaito's eyes enlarged in surprise.

Holy damn.

"Shinichi…look at the new student," Heiji nudged his friend harshly.

"What?" Shinichi bit out in irritation when Kaito pointed at the girl. When he followed the finger, he was paralyzed.

Shit.

"Please introduce yourself, miss…"

"Mouri. Mouri Ran." She smiled when she spotted the person she was looking for this entire time.
