Liz"

Jamie and horace can in the car a few seconds later. Jess and i said our hellos.

"Can I drive?" Jess asked horace.

"No, you are not even fifteen yet," He replied shutting the door.

She winned,"But you let me yesterday!" They went off into an argument.

"They do this most times," Jamie supplied.

"That is what most siblings do,"i answered.

"Not as bad as they do," Jamie twitched. "One she trapped him in the shadows for a good hour."

"How is that possible?" I became curious. They stopped arguing and heard my question.

"Easy really,"She turned to face us." All i have to do is let go of the person and they stay there til i go into the shadows again."

"You say that like it is nothing," I replied.

"I find it as nothing. Besides i only did it once and horace is perfectly fine! Aren't you?" She looked at him while he started the car and began to drive.

"You could say that if I ever went back in to the shadows," He admitted.

Jess rolled her eyes and turned back to face the front of her seat. I looked for a seatbelt but saw none."Hey, Jess?"

"Huh?" she glanced back.

"Where are the seatbelts?" I continued to look for one.

"We took them out cuz i can easily shadow travel every one out of danger. Save us a lot of money and car payments," she replied as if it was a simple concept that i should have already know.

"But what is you get pulled over?" I pushed on. She waved her hand and a seatbelt appeared."Whoa!"

"Now any more questions that can't be answered at my house?" her voice had a slight edge to it.

"Nope none from me for now." I said and she turned on the radio, but then quickly plugged in her phone. Horace was about to object along with jamie but she turned to them and gave them a vicious glare that would make a grown man want to go and die from fear. A glare that the Nightmare King himself would be proud of. I thought.

She returned to her phone and picked Young Volcanoes by Fall Out Boy. I knew it as one of her personal favorites. She would go around the school and hum it. She began to turn up the volume and stared out the window.

I took out my phone and Texted Jamie.

(end)

I stared out the window barely noticing the change in music and scenery. I let my thoughts run around my head, a poor decision. I thought about what had happened in the past two days. Meeting the guardians along with the seasons, finding out that my best friend was a demigod, which now clears up the lies and puns, and that i finally got to meet her family. I hoped this would not go to the worst case scenario, but right now I couldn't even tell if it was the worst case scenario. I wondered if anything else would surprise me. Beside what she has to tell me, which i just couldn't stand not knowing.

All of the sudden the car stopped, but when I actually looked out the window i saw that we were at her house. We all got out of the car, and as i walked to the front door I felt Jess lace her arms with mine.

"Put on a big smile. My dad hates it when we come into the house with a negative cloud above our heads and push all questions til we are safe in my prison." She whispered into my ear through her teeth and smiled.

I followed her example and smiled, but if you knew me then you could tell that is was a false smile. Horace and jamie also had smiles, but i'm sure that the negativity belonged to Jess.

We all headed to the front door to find it open and three little kids, one boy and two girls. The Boy looked like the youngest and he had beautiful light blonde hair and bright green eyes. One girl, the tallest, had orange hair that had a slight curl, along with sky blue eyes and was covered from head to toe in freckles. The middle child had brown hair like Horace and had almost ice blue eyes, with freckles covering the majority of her face. their ages, I guessed to be about 10, 6, and 5.

As soon as they saw Jess and Horace, the oldest screamed,"Daddy, they are home!"

The other two ran out to them. The boy ran to Jess at full speed. Jess let go of my rm and stood in a hug-like-stance and caught him. While horace picked up the girl and spun her in a circle. The other girl can out with a big smile on her face, and as Jess set the boy down she was almost tackled by the girl.

"Hey guys what's up?" Jess asked as she let go of the oldest.

The brunette answered,"You a call from Miss knack called for you."

I saw the slight surprise in Jess's face but she quickly recovered. "Cool. So what did you guys do in our absence?"

The boy spoke,"We played in the play room, and got to paint!"

"Wow,you guys will have to show us after the bonfire," Horace said as we headed into the house.

"Dad said that he was to tired for a bonfire and Mom has to go to work in the morning." the Redhead said.

"oh. Are they asleep?" Jess asked closing the door behind her.

The children all nodded."Okay. As you all can see I brought my friend Lizzy over, and have a lot to talk about. So why don't you all introduce yourselfs."

"I'm Hollyn," the redhead said."I'm eleven years old."

"I'm Sadie. I am six and I lost my tooth today!" The brunette pulled a a tooth from the pocket of her jeans and gave it to me.

"Wow! Is the tooth fairy gonna come to night?" i asked returning the bloody tooth. Sadie nodded happily.

"Caleb." the boy said and handed me a toy car."North gave this to me on Christmas!"

"Cool!" I turned it in my hands and saw the grand craftsmanship.

"I'm five!" he held up five fingers, I smiled and gave him the car back.

"Well four down six to go," Jess said and Horace took the little kids off to bed.
