Sorry it took so long to post. I've been very busy with life and other stuff X3 And sorry, but it's a short chapter :/ I just didn't have time to make it longer, and I wanted to post something for you guys tonight. :)
"It...it...i-it's Sunset!" Sonata exclaimed. Aria slapped a hand over the girl's mouth, silencing her. She narrowed her eyes as she looked through the window at the two. Why are they meeting? I had no idea Adagio even talked to Sunset, let alone hung out with her! Aria's brain kept trying to come up with a reason why they could possible be hanging out and acting so buddy-buddy. Then that's when Aria saw it. Her eyes widened as she saw Adagio's face change color. Is that a...a blush?! Oh, man...now I understand. Wait, no! That can't be...right? Does Sonata see it too? Am I just seeing things?! Is Adagio actually blushing?! Sweet Celestia... Aria growled, causing Sonata to look at her.
"Ari, what's wrong?" Sonata asked, worry in her voice. Aria huffed and pointed.
"Look at that. You see Adagio's face?" Sonata peeked in and squinted, trying to see them better.
"Uh...what about it?" Aria facepalmed.
"Look at the color of her face."
"Uhhh...she looks a little redder than usual, I guess. That's about it."
"I knew it!" Aria suddenly yelled before covering her mouth quickly. She and Sonata looked at each other.
"Knew what?" Sonata asked. Aria rolled her eyes, a smile beginning to form on her lips.
"Sonata, she's blushing."
"So?"
"Sweetheart, normally when someone blushes, they do it around someone they like!"
"Okaaaay, so...Adagio likes...Sunset?" Then, as if the answer to her own question suddenly came to her, her eyes widened. She looked back through the window and gasped. "Oh my gosh, that makes so much sense! That's why she always looks so happy when she comes home!" Aria nodded, her smile turning to one of mischief.
"Oh-ho-ho, this is perfect. The things we could blackmail her for..." Aria enthused, rubbing her hands together. But she was interrupted with a sharp jab from Sonata's elbow. "Ow! What was that for?!" Sonata gave her a stern look.
"Ari, don't you dare!"
"What?"
"Don't blackmail her!"
"What?! Why not? That would be awesome! She wouldn't be able to touch us!"
"But it's not nice, Ari. What if we had secret crushes on each other, and Adagio found out and used that to blackmail us?"
"But the old wench deserves it!"
"Well, first of all, we're just as old as her. And second of all, no she doesn't! I think that she deserves to be happy! And if being with Sunset makes her happy, then let her be." Aria blinked.
"Wait, wait, wait...do you think they might actually be...a couple?"
"Uh...yeah, why?"
"Well, it's just...what if she's hiding it? What if Sunset sees this as a budding friendship, but Adagio wants it to be more?" Sonata looked down.
"Ooooh, I see what you mean..." She then looked back up and smiled. "Or maybe they both want it to be something more, and they're both just too afraid to admit it!" She concluded. Aria sighed.
"Yeah, that could be possible too..."
"Yay!" Sonata suddenly yelped excitedly, followed by another hand slapped over her mouth.
"Yay? Yay what?" Aria queried. Sonata smiled brightly before pulling Aria's hand from her face.
"Aria, you know what we could do? We could help them become a couple! Eeeee!" Aria almost choked.
"Uh...whatnow?!"
"Yeah!"
"Sonata, no. We're not doing that."
"Whaaaat?! Why not?!"
"Because it's weird."
"What is?"
"Getting into her weird, romantic, personal biz!"
"But just a moment ago, you were gonna blackmail her with it."
"That's different!"
"How?"
"It just...is!"
"Ariaaaaa..."
"No."
"Pleeeeaaaase?"
"Sonata..."
"Pleeeeeeeaaaaaaaase...?" Then, that's when Sonata used her weapon, and her eyes went large and glossy, and she stuck out her bottom lip, executing the perfect puppy dog look. "Please~?" She whispered in a cute voice. Aria's eye twitched before she let out an long, loud groan, putting her hands over her face.
"Ugh...fiiiine..."
