A/N: Just a short little something that popped into my head a few nights ago. I feel like I needed some big bro Leo in my life. Enjoy!

Disclaimer: I don't own anything yadda, yadda, yadda.

Leo paced the floor as Donnie carefully extracted the shuriken from his immediate older brother's shoulder. Raph grunted and squirmed a bit, but made no other sound.

"This went pretty deep." Don muttered.

"How bad is it?" Leo asked.

Don grabbed his goggles and switched to a magnified lens. "Nothing a few stitches and a week off won't cure."

"A week my ass." Raph grumbled.

"If Don says you need a week, then you'll rest for a week." Leonardo stated firmly.

"M'fine." Raph insisted.

"Gonna start the stitches!" Donatello interjected before Leo could retort. "Will you go and wake up Mikey please Leo? It's been two hours."

"Of course." Leo replied, and after casting one last look at Raphael, he left the room.

The fight had been short but fierce. It was an ambush that had been set up to trap one of them and unfortunately Mikey was the one who had walked right into it. Leo barely had enough time to yell out a warning when Michelangelo hit the trip wire. A huge explosion went off and the youngest turtle was sent flying as shuriken ripped through the air. Leo had no other choice but to try and shield his other two brothers. The Foot of course wasted no time in attacking.

Leo searched frantically for Mikey as he battled through the Foot. The leader was starting to panic when he heard Raphael let out a roar of anger to his left. Leo watched as Raph barreled through a group of ninjas that were pummeling an unconscious Michelangelo. The three older brothers made quick work of their enemies, making it to the youngest as fast as possible. Don made a quick assessment and they got back to the lair.

Leo made his way to Mike's room and opened the door. Mike was on his shell, arms curled in on his side. He normally slept sprawled out, limbs all over the place. He looked small now, tucked in on himself. Leo frowned at the somewhat shallow breaths his brother was taking. He had four broken ribs, a concussion, and a broken wrist. His wrist was ace wrapped at the moment, April was currently on a supply run for actual cast material.

"Mike, it's time to wake up." Leo said softly.

Mike didn't stir and Leo frowned at the shakily rising and falling of his chest.

Leo rubbed a soothing hand down Michelangelo's face, careful not to touch his head. "Mike?"

The orange banded turtle slowly opened bleary eyes and looked up at his oldest brother. "Hey Leo," he greeted tiredly.

"Hey there Mikey," Leo smiled. "How are you feeling?"

"Peachy." Mikey croaked out.

"It's been two hours so we've gotta go through some questions."

"Kay."

"What's your name?" Leo asked.

"Mich'langlo Hamato." Mikey slurred.

"How old are you?"

"Sixteen."

"Who am I?"

"My 'nnoyin big br'ther."

Leo smiled fondly. "What's my name Mikey?"

"Leo'ndo Hamato."

"How many brothers do you have?"

"Three."

"And who is Master Splinter?"

"Dad. C'n I go back t'sleep now?" Mikey asked, his eyes already closing.

Leonardo patted his younger brother's shoulder. "Sure thing Mikey. I'll be back in another two hours."

"Can't wait." Mike replied.

Leo grinned as he walked out of the room. When he got back to Donatello's lab, he found Raphael unconscious on the medical bed and a needle sitting on the tray next to his head. Leo arched a brow at Don.

"He wouldn't stop moving and I warned him that I could injure him further if he didn't stop moving and then he threatened me with bodily harm, go figure, so I gave him a small sedative." Donatello told him without taking a breath.

"Small?"

Don scowled. "Smaller than what I wanted to give him." He pulled the last stitch tightly and tied it off.

"Remind me to never piss you off."

Don grinned at that. "How's Mikey?"

"Doing fine, just tired obviously."

"Good. Help me move him?"

The two turtles carefully moved their brother to the couch and sat down next to him.

"You know he's going to kill you when he wakes up." Leo said slyly.

Don groaned.

Leo patted Donnie's knee. "Don't worry Donnie, I won't let him hurt you too much."

"I'll tell him it was your idea." Don threatened.

Leo gasped. "You wouldn't dare."

"Try me."

The two brothers stared at one another before Leo grinned a rather feral grin. Donatello 'eeped' and booked it out of the room.

"Get back here Donnie!"

Donnie only laughed in response as he led Leo on a chase that was very reminiscent of their two unconscious brothers.

The night could've been so much worse. But the two uninjured turtles were thankful that it hadn't been. They were very aware that one day it could be worse, that they're lives were put on the line every day. But for now they were content with the happenings of the night.

They would cross what 'could be' later.
