The meeting was already finished after 1 hour. Freddie was about to go to his office when one of his colleague came to talk to him.

"Hey Freddie!" he said

"Oh hey Max" Freddie replied and they shook hands

They continued their conversation until Carly's phone vibrated.

" Um I'll go ahead to your office Freddie, I need to take this call"

"Sure" Freddie replied

"FREDDIE'S POV"

Carly went ahead already to take her call

"Well who was that lovely lady?" Max asked with his goofy grin

"She's Carly Shay, she will be writing an article of the software release" Freddie replied

"I see does she have a boyfriend?"

"Well yeah she told me"

"Awww too bad, Anyway Freddie word is spreading that you're getting married?"

"Yep"

"Oh congrats bro! Invite me to your wedding k?"

Freddie laughed "Alright"

The two men continued their conversation

"CARLY'S POV"

Carly went to enter Freddie's office and she didn't notice that the door was left ajar.

Carly answered her phone

"Hey Babe, what's up?" Carly said

"Carly we need to talk" James said in a quiet tone

"Why is something wrong?"

"I'm breaking up with you"

No one's POV

Freddie was going back to his office until he eavesdrop on Carly's phone call

"WHAT? Why? Did I do something wrong? Did I-" Carly was interrupted

"No it's not you, it's me because-" James can't bear to say it

Carly's tears are falling on her cheek "Do you have someone else?"

After a long silence in the phone he spoke "Yes"

"You promised me that you will *sniff* take care of me? I thought we have that *sniff* special moment" Carly said

"Well I got tired of waiting for you and I'm sorry"

"James why did you-"

Carly was cut off from the line. She sat in the couch and cover her face as she cries. Freddie felt so bad for Carly.

Who would have known that her boyfriend is such a jerk and an asshole for breaking her up on the phone Freddie thought to himself

Freddie slowly entered his office and Carly wiped away her tears as she saw Freddie come in.

Carly was wiping her cheeks "Ah Freddie I didn't notice you there"

Freddie fell silent

"Well I should get back to work" Carly was about to leave when Freddie grabbed her arm

Carly was still looking away.

"Carly.. I heard everything"

Carly fell down on her knees and she sobbed once more

Freddie hugged her from behind

"It's okay Carly you don't deserve him and most importantly he doesn't deserve you" Freddie said

"I thought he loved me" Carly replied sobbing

Freddie look into her face "Carly look at me, don't feel weak be strong and show him that you don't need him anymore. That's not the Carly I knew, she was a tough cookie back then and I'm still looking at her right now"

Carly wiped away her tears and both of them stood up.

"You're right, thanks Freddie"

While going back to her work space, a tear suddenly escapes her eye.

Oh Freddie if you only knew what I have been through since the day I was away from you Carly thought to herself.
