(Timmy's PoV)
"Are you alright?" Timmy asked Tootie as she just moved the food around her plate. She looked like she could be feeling a little sick
"Just not feeling well is all," Timmy just looked at her, and he wondered if she might have gotten sick being out in the rain. Or maybe she had caught a cold from somewhere and it was just now hitting her.
"Are you sure your alright?" He waited, and didn't get an answer... when he didn't get an answer the second time, he snapped his fingers in front of her, trying to get her attention.
"Hmph... what?" It had taken a moment for her to respond, but she did eventually.
"I asked if you were sure, and you didn't' answer..." Timmy's hand touched her forehead, and he 'tsked'. Her forehead was warm. "Your feeling a bit warm, maybe being wet, and being cold in here last night made you sick."
Tootie just stared a bit into space, as he went to the refrigerator and poured her a glass of orange juice and put it in front of her. She took the glass, and drank from it quickly. Timmy hoped that it would help her feel better. Vitamin C was supposed to be good if you were sick right?
"You should lay down," From the look on her face, he didn't think she even heard him. He helped her up and lead her into the living room, and up the stairs. At one point the pants she was wearing had started to slip down, luckily he caught them at the last second. "Almost there..."
He had considered taking her into the guest room but he hadn't cleaned in there in a long while, he didn't have any guests. That just left his room accessible. That would be as good a place as any. As selfish as it sounded, he was really hoping she wouldn't get sick on his bed. Pulling back the blankets and the sheets, then he laid her down pulling the covers over her. As he went to walk away he felt something grab his wrist, it wasn't strong or forceful, but it did cause him to stop and look back at her.
"Can you..." Her voice was soft, sleep had already caught up with her. He leaned closer so he could hear her better. "Can you stay with me?"
"I uh..." he thought about it a moment. The entire situation made him nervous. If my parents choose to come back and find a girl in his room, sleeping in my bed, they would... They would what, his mind asked him, they would have to notice you were there first, before running off on some other vacation. Okay so he didn't have to worry about that really, but Vicki, what if she came looking for Tootie? How would he explain Tootie in his bed? His death was all he could see coming from that situation. However, the way she was looking at him, the pleading look in her beautiful violet eyes, he couldn't say no. "I guess I could sit with you for a while."
He sat on the bed beside her, she looked up at him for a while. A smile on her face, he knew that she had always had a crush on him, and now he knew that she still liked him... more than liked him. This must be a dream come true for her... minus the being sick part that is. It wasn't long before her eyes closed, and he just continued to watch her while she was sleeping. He shook his head and went to stand up, her hand still loosely gripping his wrist.
"Can you lay with me?" she muttered, Timmy wasn't sure if she was even awake while asking. He was conflicted. He wanted to lay with her... he wanted to run from the room. He had spent so much time alone, so much time closed off from everyone and everything that this situation was more than pushing boundaries, more like it was tearing them down. When her eyes didn't open, he decided she might have just been having a dream. "Please, I need you."
That phrase got to him as he pulled his wrist from her hand. Now it was more obvious that she was sleeping, or at least mostly asleep, since she didn't fight it or try to grab his wrist again. He tried to shake the though from his mind as he went back down to the kitchen to clean up. Why did she have to say that? Why had she said she needed him? He had tried not to think about it, though while cleaning up the kitchen, that was all he could think about. Many thoughts were confusing him. This was usually when the joke was over, and someone was laughing at him. Right after he started liking something. No one had ever needed him for anything, why would they?
He walked back to his room, looking at the sleeping girl in his bed. He thought about the girls he had looked at throughout elementary, and middle school, even high school. Snobs, bitches, and just mean girls, whose beauty only ran skin deep. He looked at Tootie again... really looked at her. No make-up, her hair put up in hast... Why had it taken him so long to notice her? The one who... while obsessively stalking him as a youth, and had been a little kiss crazy during a time when he didn't like girls, and when he was... thought he was in love with Trixie. The girl that he had been so mean to, just because she wanted to be around him. She had even defended him on occasion from the school bully. No matter how mean and rude he was to her. No matter how many times he had ignored her, she never gave up... He wish he saw that she was beautiful inside and out, a long time ago.
He moved around to the other side of the bed, and sat down taking off his shoes. He decided to not even think about what he was doing, decided not to think about what would happen if his parents came over, or if Vicki barged in. If had thought about it, he wouldn't be doing it. He got under the covers, as he moved behind her, he noticed how perfect his arm fit just under her neck, How great she smelt. He put his arm over her side. In her sleep it didn't take Tootie long to find his hand and grip it. He wondered if she was asleep or awake... didn't really matter. He was starting to become tired, he had woken up early. Plus he didn't even know when they went to sleep the night before, he knew it was late but without a clock... functioning clock anyways he had no way of knowing. He let his mind stop wondering as he closed his eyes, and drifted off to sleep.

She moved a bit as she started waking up, she didn't know what it was, but something was pleasantly warm against her back. That was a really nice dream, she thought as she went to rub her eyes, and she realized one of them was holding, and being held by another hand. She felt her face heat up as she remembered... semi-remembered the events from earlier that morning. She had gotten sick, Timmy had taken her up to his room... then... then she remembered waking up with him behind her once. It wasn't a dream, she thought.
She was torn between her wants and needs. She wanted to stay here... she wanted time to stop and never leave this moment. She knew that wouldn't happen, so she needed to call Vicki... Oh God, Vicki... if she knew, she'd kill her. Or Timmy, or them both. Oh man, she'd really going to be mad if she's called or sent me texts and I didn't answer. That and being out all night... well the good news was... she was feeling better.
Slowly she managed to get out of the bed without waking Timmy, looking at the clock on her way out she managed to barely read it, she had only been a sleep a couple hours. It was after noon, but still it had only been a few hours... Back downstairs she looked around until she found her purse, and rummaged around until she found her phone... however before she found that, she found her old pair of glasses she had been using as a spare. She put them on, they were not as strong as she needed them now, but they made things a lot clearer than without them.
"No..." she said quietly to herself looking at her phone. Vicki had called, six times and plenty of text messages. Instead of ignoring her sister more... and risking even more of her wrath, she called her back.
"Tootie, where have you been!?" Vicki didn't yell, but the tone she used was enough to send shivers down Tootie's spine.
"I-I um... I'm... well." What was she supposed to say... I am at Timmy's, and I just woke up... and well we slept in the same bed. Yeah, and she might as well write down what she wanted on her tombstone. "I'm at Timmy's. I called you to come get me last night remember? Well it was raining hard, and I didn't have my glasses. So Timmy thought it would be best if... I used the spare room."
"You're at the Twerps? And he didn't pass out with you sleeping there?" Vicki laughed... though it wasn't one of her hateful laughs, it seemed like she was amused... good amused Vicki was good. At least it was better than her being angry. She had assumed that Vicki would be mad at her... but after explaining the panic attack that Timmy had, maybe she thought nothing happened. Nothing had happened, except those kisses. Now that was something... "Tootie!"
"Eh... uh... I'm here." Did Vicki say something? She should try to start paying attention to what people were saying. But it's so hard to pay attention to anything when she was thinking about Timmy.
"I asked if you wanted me to come and get you." Vicki was starting to sound annoyed, that was never good. At least she was trying to be nice. Better not turn it down, even now her moments of being nice were still rare, even if they came more than they did. "Busy thinking about your Twerp?"
"No I was... No..." Tootie didn't like her calling him Twerp, but what choice did she have. She really didn't want to upset Vicki. So it was best to just to bare with it. She'd better wake Timmy and let him know that Vicki was coming. "I'll be ready soon."
She knew she didn't have much time once she hung up with Vicki. Of course she knew that Vicki wouldn't hurry, but still she'd be here within an hour. She walked up the stairs and into Timmy's room. He was still sleeping and looked adorable... but she wondered how she should go about waking him up. She didn't know much about waking boys up... but she knew Timmy, and he was not one that liked to be surprised. Which she was should it would surprise him if she was face to face with him when she woke him up.
"Timmy?" She called out to him softly... he moved a bit but that was about it. So she tried a little louder... then a bit louder. After a couple times his eyes opened slightly... once he realized where he was, he sat up quickly and got out of bed. "Morning."
"Uh... Tootie..." he looked around a moment then back at her, his face turning red. "Uh... Good morning."
"Vicki..."
"Is she here!?" Timmy took a step back from the door, obvious fear on his face. She couldn't really blame him, Vicki had made his childhood a living hell when she babysat him.
"No... no, I just talked with her, she'll be here in a little bit to come and get me." She looked at the floor, "Before she got her, I just wanted to thank you for letting me stay... and lending me some clothes. I'll get them back to you... promise."
(Timmy's PoV)
For what felt like hours, Timmy sat on his couch with his head in his hands. It had been a little over a week since Tootie slept over, and today had started out normal... well as normal as it got for him anyways, though not the birthday he'd imagined.. School was the same, people ignored him except during lunch when Trixie and her gang had noticed him and decided to mess with him. But he had gotten used to that over the years. He just ignored them and drudged through the rest of the day. What bothered him was the fact that Tootie didn't talk with him... well of course that was something he had wanted... but he would have welcomed the company today.
After school he went to the mall instead of going home... he didn't really need anything, he just wanted a change in his daily routine. Things had started going down hill at the mall, people would just stare at him as he sat on one of the benches. Then again it could have been his imagination, though he doubted it. Even that he was used to, no what bothered him was when he came out of the game store he saw Tootie sitting and having lunch with his two ex best friends. Laughing and talking...
Maybe it was all just a big joke and they were all in it together, he thought as he sat there. Chester, A.J., Vicki, and Tootie, an unlikely group... but then again at one point in time he had made all of them upset at him. He had rejected Tootie's advances all those years. Chester and A.J., he had rejected them when they wanted to be friends again. And Vicki... well he had tried to make her life as much of a living Hell as she had made his. Either way, instead of confronting them he left. It seemed to be the best course of action really, he really didn't feel like getting into an argument at the mall... considering it would be time for his medication soon, and he really didn't want all those people looking at him.
His cellphone rang... he had stopped looking at it after the third time Tootie called... didn't even answer the door when someone knocked. He didn't want to look at her... just when he thought he might be developing feelings. Just when he thought there might be some exit to this Hell... it was all gone.
His mind wandered back to the fact that it was his birthday... not the first one he'd spent alone. Though it would be the worst one yet, for once there was actually someone he wanted to spend his birthday with. One that he had made plans for about a month ago, well he wasn't going to give her the satisfaction... he wasn't going to give any of them the satisfaction of crushing him. He'd just go to his room, take a couple of his sleeping pills, and just let this day pass him by. Tomorrow would be a new day... same lonely routine... but a new day none the less.
The next morning started out about the same, breakfast... shower... getting dressed... then he stopped. I'm not going to school today, no I don't want to look at them, and I'm not ready if one of them tries to be friendly just to crush me. I'll just stay home, my grades are good enough to miss a few days if I wanted, he thought.
A couple more phone calls had his temper on edge, but he ignored the phone. He wasn't even going to look at the phone. He decided as he sat on the couch and turned on the television. Nothing was going to be on, and nothing had been recorded that he hadn't already seen, but still he stared at the screen...
He hadn't realized that he had dozed off until the knocking at the door had woken him up. He looked up at the clock, it couldn't be Tootie, she'd still be in school. If she was worried she would come after school. She always had. So he got up and walked to the door, he didn't know what he expected when he opened the door, but an officer wasn't what he expected.
"Timothy Tiberius Turner?" the officer stood there waiting for an answer. Was this a truant officer? He'd heard about them, most kids at school hard heard about them, but he'd never seen one. He'd always thought it was a myth. Maybe they were regular officers that did the job. Either way he had to think up something.
"Y-Yeah... Sorry I wasn't feeling well... so I decided not to go to school." he looked down, waiting to be reprimanded. Wonder how many times he's heard that one, Timmy wondered to himself.
"That's not why I'm here. I'm..." for the first time, the officer looked hesitant and unsure of what to say. "No I'm here... Your parents were in an accident. We tried contacting you yesterday... They passed away yesterday."
