I'm baaack!

So, as you guys know its been a while. I'd like to start off by apologizing for that. I don't want to point fingers... but I guess I'll do the obvious thing and blame the Japs/Commies/any politician. The important thing is that I'm back to finish what I started. So I ask those of you who read this, will you join me yet again to complete this adventure! So without further ado... the revamp.

The group had tread the path for some time when a noticeable wall of dusty air let them know they had arrived though they had not yet seen the first buildings. They stumbled up the large hill on the outskirts as the bustling town rose into their vision and the blinding sun replaced the humid shade of the jungles they had trekked through. Plucker looked to his left at his newly befriended zebra. "So Shima, where to?"

She paused to shield her eyes from the sun before extending a hoof in the direction of the square they had been before. "He should be near his house where I last saw him." Sophisticate jumped in between the two in a heroic pose on his hind legs as he pointed out towards the town.

"Alright guys, lets find this slimy son of a bitch!" He yelled as he sprinted down the hill leaving the rest of the group struggling behind him. Jet and Clay had been taking turns carrying Boulder but Jet's turn included the massive hill which he was only halfway up. Caramel, Monty, and Sheena were all keeping an eye on the pony who had not improved since they had begun the hike back.

"Its everywhere... taunting me... waiting for me to slip up..." Boulder went on with his hallucinations, leaving Caramel concerned.

"This doesn't seem... healthy." He commented to his brother who gave him a death glare.

"You know what doesn't seem healthy is that ahm carrying this guy all the way up this hill while yer sitting there doin' NOTHING!" He yelled between breaths.

Eclipse heard the quarrel and thought for a moment before motioning to his friend. "Hey, Red? Could you go give them a hand?" To which Red Blur gave an irritated look and whistled. A moment later a large bird with vibrant colors dropped from the sky into the middle of the group. It then looked toward Red and landed on his back. He then looked around at the astonished faces of the rest of the quarry.

"Get him, Booster." He said urging as the bird flew over and picked up Boulder, dropped him at the top of the hill, and flew back into the sky.

Ink looked up into the sky and promptly licked his chops. "That was a big chicken." he said to himself before being shushed by Whirlwind.

"Don't make Red angry we're already waaay behind schedule." He explained too which Ink nodded in understanding.

Xero looked back to the path and felt the grumble in his stomach as he increased his pace down the path. "I agree with Ink, I'm fucking hungry!"

"We're almost there!" Monty yelled back as they started down the hill into the blinding sun.

Dee, the last one to cross out of the jungle's darkness, could only pop another aspirin and continue on the path as sweat dripped from his coat. He followed the group through the streets, even more blindingly hot than he remembered, to the square where everypony seemed to be gathered around a house, far nicer than those around it. "What were we doing again?" He asked tiredly.

"We were looking for Onyx but it seems he's made the slip." Eclipse explained as he paced around in thought until he stopped with an obvious stroke of intuition. "Alright Sophisticate, looks like we'll need to spread out to search for any information."

Sophisticate immediately looked over from where he was rolling up burnt pot into a new joint. "Oh, yeah! I've got it!" He then threw away the pathetic display as he looked around the group. "Let's get into teams of two."

Plucker immediately spoke up as he got an idea. "I'll go with Shima!" To which she blushed slightly.

"Okay, Clay and Red can go together, Monty and Sheena..."

"Naturally." Sheena commented aside.

"Whirlwind and Jet, Dee and Star, Xero and Ink..." Upon hearing this, the two immediately ran off in the same direction towards the nearest food stand. "Cinder and Caramel, that leaves you to fix Boulder and I'll go with Nigh-uh... Eclipse!" He finished with a smile as the group spread out.

Plucker and Shima immediately headed around back of the house to look in through the window. "See anything?"

Plucker thought a moment and responded "Just a lot of-"

He was promptly interrupted by Sophisticate bucking the door down and shouting "Daddy's back bitches!" at the top of his lungs as Eclipse yelled at him from outside.

Plucker facehoofed. "This is gonna be a long vacation."

Well that's all for now! Again I am incredibly sorry for going AWOL and will do everything in my power to prevent it. Id also like to thank everyone who read this, you guys are why I came back. There are some changes I'm making across the board but it'll all work out. Well, wish this chapter was longer but it's 3AM and I'm getting lonely. (That was a matchbox twenty reference kids!)
