Chapter 10!
Ok..I will apologize in advance but this chap will be boring...and I should say not what you expected the chapter to turn out, as I have said on the first chapter the first time I published this, this story is just from my random thoughts, I pretty much never thought about the story seriously and just let my fingers type.( although I did use my brain once in a while)
Updates with this will take a lot longer than the usual 1week to a month since I accidentally deleted this file on my phone, I know im stupid, i didn't make a back upand I went abroad for business earlier than expected.
So I'll stop with the excuses already and on with the story!
AN: I do not own GS, GSD and its sucky ending. They all belong to FUKUDA and Sunrise.
"Really sucks to be you."
Athrun glared at the brown haired beside him. He was waiting for someone-Cagalli- at the cafeteria while typing in his laptop when suddenly a person sat down on his side.
Really, until when will this girl mind his business?
"I mean really, you had your chance, and you just have to blow it off."
"I don't know what you're talking about." He continued to work on his laptop. Deep inside he knew what she was talking about.
The girl sighed. "You don't even know if there will be a next time and you just have to ditch her because of your work."
He aburptly stopped at his typing. Then stared at the girl eating beside him. How did she know that? Did Cagalli told her about yesterday
Thursday was a mess. He couldn't even refuse what the host of the day asked of him because he had agreed first and it would be rude, he is after all a very important business partner. After finding out from his investigation team where Cagalli lives, he immediately took off that morning and went to the blondes house to tell her, he was relieved that she didn't got mad, but half of him want's to just kill himself for even cancelling on her. He actually can't even remember how he got to Rutherford's house at all or what had transpired throughout the day with the daughter, all he thought about was that he had cancelled at the last minuite with a date from the love of his life.
Shiho was right. There probably might never be a next time.
"She told me what happened when I saw her." Shiho said, knowing what was in the blue haired's mind then she eyed him. "With Kira."
Athrun could have gone deaf or went to heaven for he really did not know what the girl had just said nor what was happening around. All he thought of was that, the love of his life was with the very root of the reasons he can't confess to her.
Shiho waved infront of him as Athrun remained a statue with wide eyes.
With Kira...
"Shiho! Athrun!" Someone called. Shiho looked who it was then a smirk formed her lips.
"Speaking of." She stood up and waved at the approaching blonde. "Hey Cagalli!"
"Hey." She sat down at the chair opposite to Athrun. She eyed him weirdly. "What happened to him?"
With Kira...
Shiho poked his head to see if it can get any reaction from him. He did not budge. "Dunno. So what are you getting for lunch?"
Cagalli smiled widely. "Athrun is gonna treat me to one, right?" She looked at him. Her eyes expecting a yes from him but he did not utter a word nor move.
With Kira...
"Athrun...?"
With Kira...
"I think he short circuited..."
With Kira...
"Shiho! Don't tell me you did something to him!"
With Kira...
"Why me?! It's your fault!"
With Kira...
"What?! Wait! Is this about the free lunch I'm getting from you Athrun? It's ok, you don't have to."
With Kira...
"Ok this is so getting weird for me. Do something Cagalli! I want to have that free lunch with you!"
With Kira...
"No way! That's not even enough for me! Hey. Can you hear me?"
With Kira...
"Look! Your wife's having lunch with someone!"
The blue haired abruptly stood up from his seat looking hastily from left to right. Searching for a blonde and a brunet together. Then he came face to face with a brunette. A there's-an-idiot-here expression. "Idiot."
Athrun slumped back on his chair. Running a hand through his hair as he realized what he had done. So uncool.
Shouldn't he be happy? The girl he loves has gotten closer to the person she loves. he should be happy, happy...
He can hear someone asking him but he was not able to comprehend, He just blankly nodded to no one. He was still thinking if his thought of Cagalli going to that date with Kira would be the first step to the complete downfall of his love life.
"No don't think about that, Athrun! They just went as friends...yeah..." Athrun thought as he imagined the faces of Cagalli and Kira as they went to the animal show that Cagalli had invited him to go.
Then he saw them holding hands.
Athrun balled his fist and banged them on the table. Causing Cagalli and Shiho to jump. The other people at the room just looked at their way a moment before resuming their business. The two girls looked at the blue haired as his head low and eyes were covered by his blue fringes.
He cursed. Of course he wasn't happy. Not even in the slightest. All he want's is for her to smile. And being with Kira will do that. But still, his wish for her to smile only to him just made him feel worse. He should be happy, happy for her.
They watched after sometime as he slowly raised his head and stared straight into Cagalli's, his eyes growing wide.
"Cagalli!" He exclaimed as he stood up abruptly. His hands on the table. "Did you go to the Zoo yesterday?!"
Cagalli eyes still wide slowly nodded at him.
"And the Animal show?!"
Cagalli nodded.
"Till the end?!"
Cagalli nodded again.
"With who?!"
Cagalli blushed and looked away from him fidgeting like she was embarrassed which she is. "That's a secret."
Silence ensued at the three. Cagalli blushing and looking away. Shiho looking at the menu thinking of what to suggest for Cagalli's free lunch. And Athrun...
He sat down and closed his laptop quietly. Then gathering his things before standing up and moving away from his chair then giving Shiho his wallet muttering a 'I want that back tomorrow' then bowing slightly at the two, excusing himself before calmly walking away. Leaving the girls confused.
Athrun immediately went to his car and drove straight to his house. Going up the stairs to his room ignoring the mansion staff's greetings. Then silently closed the door and would not open it until daylight the next day.
