Chapter 10

Yuuki's P.O.V

After sketching the image from my mind onto the page of my sketchbook I had set it down on top of my bag then lean back against the tree we are sitting under, closing my eyes resting them after making an attempt to calm Kaname but was disturbed by the mumbles of the twin. So I continued to stroke the heads of the twins soon dozing off once again.

"Oni-sama...what are you doing with Yuuki's sketchbook?" Shiki asked from somewhere near to my left WAIT my sketchbook!?

I widen my eyes turning my head to the left where I see Shiki but my main focus is with Kaname is with Kaname whom is holding onto my book. I see him give me a shy smile with a twitch of his lip I had noticed when he looks at me. I had a feeling he's going to make a move by bolting with my sketchbook which at that very moment I shoved the Kiryu twins off my lap with no second thought of what I have done.

"WHAT THE!?" Ichiru said out loud while as I had lean over to my left reaching and just in time before Kaname could make a dash for it when I had latched my hand around his ankle.

"Argh…" I hear Zero causing me to slowly turn my head away from Kaname while I still have a hold of Kaname's ankle not letting him get away successfully with my book. Zero was glaring at me while holding the back of his head until realizing why I had shoved them both and turned his glare onto Kaname. Turning back around to see Kaname trying to get up.

"And what do you think your doing with my book?" I asked him

"I was perusing through to see your new drawing" Kaname said with that same smile.

"Without my permission…?" It's more of a statement than a question for what he did.

"I thought you wouldn't mind" He responded as if it was shocking that I would mind such a thing even though I reacted even more aggressive last time.

"I do mind Kaname...so return my book to me" I demanded for it to be returned into my possession.

Kaname eventually handed my sketchbook back. I was about to reach for the book when I suddenly heard someone asking about what had I drawn in my book. I snapped my head to see who just asked such a ridiculous question which better remained unanswered.

"Nothing of your concern Aido" Answered Zero as he grabbed my book from Kaname's hand and keeping it from Aido's curious hands as he reached for it, Ichiru stretched his hand out to me to help me to my feet. I took Ichiru's hand and soon got up to my feet letting out a sigh of relief once Zero handed the book to me.

"Tsk…" I hear coming from Kaname's mouth. I turned to him giving him a glare as if I was going to kill him for taking my sketchbook but of course I wouldn't do that exactly. Then I looked away from him when he had looked at me, paying no mind to him at these moment I turn my attention back to Zero.

"Thank you Zero-kun" I thanked him watching him thread his fingers through his silver hair as he spoke.

"You have to be more careful with your things...Don't carelessly set it aside so that anyone could just grab it" Zero advised me, but seeing his gaze is elsewhere knowing who he may be referring to.

"I will next time…" I responded before Ichiru hooked his arm around mine, still keeping the book close to my chest.

"Ichiru...Students are out of bed" Zero said as he walked off in the direction of pursuing the student's he had said.

"Bye Yuuki till tomorrow" Ichiru excluded kissing my cheek before following Zero.

"You might want to head inside now a chill is setting it appears" he called over his shoulder. I agreed with what Zero had sad while watching the brothers leave and get the student to return to the day dorm. Its sad they had to leave but I'm glad we were able to spend some sort of time before then. I turned around with a smile but only to have it fade once I looked to see Kaname who seem to be in an unpleasant mood as he watches the twins leave the night dorm grounds then looked at me with that same aura. Kaname let out an annoyed sigh to how it had ended. I watched him as he rubbed his temples of his forehead a moment with his eyes closed before speaking.

"Let's return inside…" He said "We've stayed long enough, it is time to retire for the night" He commented taking my hand and resting it in the crease of his elbow before leading me inside with the others following us and Shiki grabbing my bag.

Once entered inside the night dorm all the students went their separate ways, while as for Shiki and Aido continues to follow us from behind. When we had made a stop, I noticed we arrived back to the President's office. I look up towards Kaname wondering what he may be thinking about but like most of the times I don't know exactly what his thinking but I assume it must be because of what had happened earlier on campus.

"Leave us…" Kaname ordered in annoyance still in the sound of his voice. They looked from Kaname to each other then nodded before leaving us alone. The door opened seeing Kaname hold the door opened for me waiting for me to go in first so I entered inside first then Kaname followed after me and closed the door behind us once he entered inside. I stood where I stood not paying attention to Kaname for I'm still annoyed by the fact that was the second time he had tried to escape with my book. I stayed silent the whole time while I hold my sketchbook firmly in my arms until Kaname had stopped and stood in front of me. I looked up towards him, raising an eyebrow.

"Kaname? You know…" I turned my head with my eyes closed "I'm still annoyed for the fact this is the second time.." I continued with my sentences but Kaname just seem to stand there in front of me. It was making me feel awkward by the silence so I turned my attention back to him when suddenly I find myself being lifted up off my feet bridal style "Kaname? Wh-what are you!?"

He carried me to the couch in the room gently tossed me on the couch. I tired to quickly push myself to a sitting position but Kaname had pushed me back down to the couch. I look up at him in shock and confused for his actions especially the expression he holds of uneasiness in his eyes. Then Kaname leans down towards me, his mouth near my neck, feeling his breath against my neck caused me to shiver down my spine that I squinted my eyes shut. I wanted to shove him off but for some reason I couldn't bring myself in doing it.

"Kaname…?" I said in confusion.

"Shh…" He stopped and slowly pulls away from my neck but didn't pull all the way. I tilted my head down to see him move down and let go of my shoulders to resting his head down against my stomach which is something I did not expect to happen "Let me just lay here...just for a little" he said or asked.

I looked at him and watched him closed his eyes and fall silent as he rests on me. I looked away and just stared at the ceiling in thoughts. Laying here like this I can smell Kaname's hair really close more so than before. I closed my eyes trying to calm my beating heart of all the excitement that had been happening. I placed my free hand gently against his head, stroking his head with my fingers smoothly threading through his luscious brunette hair. I'm not admitting it out loud but to myself, this does feel...nice having to lay down like these together especially when it would help with the situation we had been put in with no warning from our parent's...well by my parent's actually.

I opened my eyes once more lifting my left hand with the ring which is my engagement ring Kaname had given me to make it permanent not to mention make our engagement real with the ring being the first step of our situation and being able to be used to each other's touch like this. I continued staring at the engagement ring, taking in on how beautiful it really is.

"Are you nervous..?" I snapped out of my train of thoughts when I heard and felt Kaname's head shift when asked the question how I maybe feeling or thinking " What are you thinking?" I looked down to see him still resting his head against my stomach but looking towards my hand with the engagement ring.

"No nothing at all…" I answered

I pulled my left hand to place back down but my hand had been grabbed. I watched him take my hand into his, feeling his touch as he rubs his thumb along the back of my hand while he continues to stare at the ring.

"I was just taking in how beautiful it is" I told him, well half what I was thinking about on the ring to our engagement.

Kaname pulled my hand closer towards him, seeing him place my hand by his face only to then feel his lips place on the engagement ring. Seeing a calm and gentle expression on his face caused me to smile softly as he placed his lips against the ring with a kiss. Soon the moment had ended with him withdrawing and pushed himself up, sitting up looking down towards me.

"It really does suit you, Yuuki" he said as he looks down towards me with that same expression on his face, that softness and gentleness. I notice he slowly reaches towards my face but then someone had entered into the room.

"All the students have returned to their dorms" the voice that belongs to the one and only who has really poor timing and the oh so lost puppy Aido. For his interruption caused Kaname to pull his hand back away from pursuing to touch my face. Kaname seem to be annoyed again but this time with Aido who had interfered "Oh..uhm"

"Get out…" Kaname said more like a demand as he turned to look at Aido still standing there haven't even left yet for the fact Kaname had shot a cold scary glare which would mean Aido is in trouble and be dealt with later.

"I will leave you to it then.." Aido quickly left the room in a hurry as he knows what that look Kaname had given him means. I heard a sigh from Kaname as turned back towards me.

"We should head back to our dorm room" he said to me as he look down towards me giving a small short smile before standing up and held out his hand towards me which of course, I took a hold of his hand helping me up to my feet. We walked towards the door and I exit the office. We both said our goodnights before leaving to head to my dorm room.

"Goodnight"

"Goodnight" Kaname said in return.

Kaname's P.O.V

When Yuuki and I had said our goodnights I had yet to leave the office room. I let out a groan in disappointment how things had to end with Aido's interruption. I walked back towards the couch but when I was about to lay down on the couch on the floor by my feet I see a book. I raised an eyebrow then realize who it belongs to.

"Yuuki's sketchbook" I said to myself. I picked up the sketchbook off the ground and sat down on the couch. I held it in front of me having it now in my possession. I let out a small chuckle "She got all worked up about not wanting anyone to see her drawings"

I then thought I should just return to my dorm and just leave the sketchbook on the desk with a note. I got up from the couch, walked over to the desk writing on a note then placed the note on the book saying about forgetting she had it with her in the office. I made sure its on the desk in plain sight for her. I will admit I did want to look through it again but I decided not to look and respect for her privacy of her things. I headed out of the office with the door closed after I had left the room and headed for my dorm to end the day.
