Okay, so this is a little bit like Girlfriends & Girl Friends. Except different.. very different XD
The Next Day...
Ross, Ratliff, Laura, Jaymee and Cassie were all at the center and Maia hadn't shown up. Everyone just thought it was because she was either ill or because of some other reason.
It was only Ross who was thinking it was because of yesterday.
They were so close to being together but then Ratliff came and ruined things! Ross couldn't blame Ratliff because Ratliff didn't know what was going on. But he does now. Ross just explained everything to him after Maia stormed off.
Even Ratliff laughed.
Right now, Ross was trying to come up with a way to woo Maia and get her to be his girlfriend.
"Why are you trying so hard?" Jaymee asked "it's obvious she doesn't like you in the way you like her." "No, she does!" Ross said "its just well.. ergh never mind it doesn't matter." Ross frowned. "No, no," Jaymee "explain I'm interested." "She thinks there's something going on between me and Ross." Ratliff said.
Jaymee then burst out laughing uncontrolably.
"You? And Ratliff?" Jaymee asked before letting out a huge laugh "oh my god that girl is delusional."
Ross sighed "I don't get it though," Ross said "I'm trying to figure something out and I can't think of anything." "How about I help," Ratliff said "this is partly my fault anyway. Its the least I could do." "Are you sure?" Ross asked. Ratliff nodded "C'mon we'll go into Laura's room and figure something out," Ratliff said pulling Ross up.
"Why Laura's room?" "Because it's more private and other's won't get involved." Ratliff said.
The boys then made their way to Laura's room.
Laura wasn't in her room so that made things a whole lot easier, because knowing her she'd make some kind of comment about how sweet it was that Ratliff was helping Ross and to be honest.. They didn't need that right now.
This was important to Ross, he needed to land Maia and make her realize there is nothing between him and Ratliff.
Why would there anywhere? They're not that close.. Heck.. Ross doesn't even think about Ratliff that way. At least not until now. But even then he still can't picture it.
Even Ratliff can't picture it! He's never pictured at all in his entire life him and Ross as a couple.. That was until now thanks to Maia.
He just kept on thinking about it more and more.. That bad. Now he has to find a way to stop thinking of it because now it's just getting annoying.
Ross and Ratliff spent the past 30 minutes in Laura's room just tossing around ideas.
"C'mon there's gotta be something!" Ross complained. "Ross, we've been sat here for the past 30 minutes trying to think of something," Ratliff said sitting back in the seat "there's gotta be something."
Ross thought for a moment "I could do something at the dance.." Ross said. Ratliff clicked his fingers "You could slow dance with her when a song comes on!" Ratliff said smiling. "Yeah, just one problem." Ross said smiling. "What's that?" "I can't dance," Ross said "well.. I can. But not like that. I am absolutely hopeless." Ratliff rolled his eyes at Ross.
Ratliff has seen Ross dance, he's amazing at it! And yet... He can't even slow dance. Typical.
"Well..." Ratliff said pitchy. "Well..." Ross mocked "what?" "You could get taught how to slow dance?" Ratliff suggested. "Oh yeah," Ross said "who by? I don't think Jaymee or Cassie is gonna help me. And Laura won't because she'll be getting taken care of by someone." Ross sighed.
A thought that occurred to Ratliff "I'm no girl.." Ratliff said "but I could teach you." Ross looked at Ratliff wide eyed with his eye brows raised "Y-y-you.. teaching me how to slow dance?" Ross asked standing up "seriously?" "Yeah, c'mon Ross!" Ratliff said pulling him into the middle of the room "it could be a right laugh." Ross shook it head "Alright." Ross said
When they got to the middle of the room, Ratliff went over to the door and shut it so nobody could look in and watch.
Ratliff then turned around the speaker Laura had in her room "Do you think Laura has any slow songs?" Ratliff asked flicking through her iPod. Ross shrugged "Beats me." "There we go that'll do!" Ratliff said as he clicked on the song. "What's this?" Ross asked. "S-Club 7, Never Had A Dream Come True," Ratliff said reading it off the iPod "it's a slow song.. Something you can dance to with someone you care about."
The music began to play:

One regret from yesterday that just seems to grow with time
"Right okay," Ratliff said. He placed his hand on Ross's shoulder.

Ratliff then took Ross's hand and held it about to dance "Where do I put my spare hand?" Ross asked. "You really haven't slow danced before have you?" Ratliff asked. "No." Ross said shaking his head.

"You put it on the girls hip," Ratliff said "or in my case.. my side except just a lil' bit lower." Ross nodded and put his hand on Ratliff's side.
All of a sudden as soon as Ross touched him on the side, Ratliff felt a feeling. A weird feeling. He jumped, but he figured it was because he was ticklish on his side. "Are you okay?" Ross asked. "Yeah," Ratliff said nodding "just, I'm ticklish so.. Yeah.." Ross nodded.

"Are you gonna teach me then?" Ross asked. "Oh yeah, yeah," Ratliff said "remember. The girl has to follow the guys lead, so it's just a simple one two, on two.." Ross nodded. They then began to do it a little around the room.

"Ow.." Ratliff said. "Sorry!" Ross said as he accidently stepped on Ratliff's foot. "Try again." Ratliff said. They then pranced around the room, this time Ross seemed to be getting the hang of it this time. "There ya go," Ratliff said "now lets try it again."
They then danced around the room again, this time getting more use to it. Well Ross was getting use to it.

They then stopped but kept their hands where they were "Oh yeah," Ratliff said "when you're dancing with Maia, don't be afraid to pull her closer." Ross nodded "So, like this?" Ross asked pulling Ratliff closer to him.
Ratliff didn't think that Ross was gonna pull him close to him, but when he dead their faces ended up being at least 6 or 7 cm away from eachother. "Okay..." Ratliff said "now dance." Ross nodded.
Now they were dancing, but closer.

"Hey so I was thinking," Ross said as Ratliff was still taking him around the room dancing "that maybe after this dance with Maia if I get one, I could take her back to the fair for a while." "Yeah, that's a great idea." Ratliff said focusing more on the dancing rather than what Ross was saying. But then something distracted him. "Then I could take her on that roller coaster," Ross said "you know.. the one that me and you always on when we go to the fair."
That threw Ratliff off alot. He then got a nervous feeling. Not like a regular nervous feeling, but like a butterfly feeling inside him. He smiled at him in like a friendly/lovey way. "Yeah.." Ratliff said nodding abit "sh- she'll love that.." Ross smiled back at him.
"Er.." Ratliff trailed off. His mind had gone completely coffuffled since Ross said that. "You okay Ratliff?" Ross asked. Ratliff nodded "Yeah," Ratliff said "just.. When your dancing with Maia, don't be afraid to pull her closer as your both dancing." "Oh, so like this." Ross said pulling Ratliff closer to him. Their bodies were just inches apart and their faces.. Centi meters away. That threw Ratliff off alot "Yeah.. perfect.." He said before taking a deep breath. They then danced around again.

This feeling was beginning to over powering him.. He can't handle it anymore.
"So, what do I do say when we're half way through the song say if she's all happy and.. lovey?" Ross asked "more importantly.. What's she gonna do." "You really want me to show you?" Ratliff asked. "As long as you don't kiss me, cause if that's what she's gonna do-" "I'm not gonna kiss you Ross.." Ratliff said cutting him off. Ross nodded.
Ratliff took a deep breath "Well she'll be all lovey, and she'll rest her head on your chest or so it fits into your neck like this," Ratliff said putting his head so it fitted into Ross's neck "then she'll just move her arms and hands to they are both just on your shoulder." Ratliff said moving his hands to his shoulder, but with his head in the same position. "Oh I get it," Ross said "then I'll wrap my arms around her like this." Ross said wrapping his arms around Ratliff. "Then you'se will just eventually start swaying with the music a little.." Ratliff said.
They both began to sway a little with the music.

"Then the music will began to slow down to stop," Ratliff said "t-t-then she'll be nestled up into you..." Ratliff said "feeling butterflies.." Ratliff said as his voice cracked. Ross nodded "Yeah, same here." Ross said.
Ratliff then lifted his head from in between Ross's head before looking at him, Ross done the same thing. Except this time there was a difference when they were looking at eachother. Ratliff actually felt butterflies. Something he's never felt or experienced before with Ross. Right now they had just pulled away and they were looking at eachother straight in they eyes smiling, as Ross let out a little nervous huff and puff.
Ratliff's face then straightened as he realized something. Something that was not right or usual.
Ratliff sworn that if the door never opened when it did, Ratliff would of ended up.. kissing him.
"Oh my god Ross!" Cassie shouted as she barged through the door. Ross and Ratliff quickly jumped and pulled away before looking at Cassie. "I think I found out the perfect way to get Maia!" Cassie said "to the slow dance, to the fair and then watch a romantic movie with her whilst having a romantic dinner! OOSH!" "That's awesome!" Ross said smiling going over to her.
As Ross and Cassie left the room Ratliff just stood there and watched them.. With a very confused and sad facial expression.
Unfortunately Ratliff knows this feeling he has just gotten for Ross isn't going anywhere...
