Here is an update finally. I've been delayed for many reason but I swore I would not abandon this. Lately, I've just been having job issues. I need to pay some stuff off by want to donate for my english teacher's son's surgery since he was the reason my love for writing was rekindled. Mainly, I've been looking for other jobs and trying to put in more hours at my current job so I haven't had much time to get down and work on this aside from rough drafts on my phone.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy this, reviews are always appreciated!

On personal League news, I reached Silver 2 since I finally got the courage to play solo queue by myself. Hope everyone is doing alright!

The young summoner woke up slowly, releasing a big but quiet yawn. Her right arm hung off the side of the bed as she laid on her stomach. A second yawn followed almost immediately as her eyes opened slowly with her turning head, expecting rays of morning light to blind her like usual.

It wasn't morning, however; it wasn't ever close, baby. She quickly closed her eyes again as a dull pain overtook her head.

"It tasted so good... Why does it do this?" Izuna grumbled, rubbing her eyes slowly.

After an... Interesting dinner, she found herself enjoying the taste of an Ionian wine Catherine brought out. She knew the consequences but the sweet flavor made her ignore her doubts and drink more than a few glasses. She finally sat up and looked around.

'I always end up in Mel's room... W-wai-'

Izuna's eyes landed on a chair. Her dress hung on a hanger on the chair. She stared down at the plain, white shirt she was wearing, her hands shifted around quickly, and her face turned bright red.

"Oh, you're finally awake," Mel said, walking towards the bed, holding a glass of milk. She sat next to her, holding the glass out, which Izuna took. "You weren't thinking of just leaving me, where you?"

"N-no. Did you...Uhmm..." Izuna began, pointing at the shirt she was wearing. Mel closed her eyes and nodded slowly, smiling slightly.

"You refused to go to your room yesterday and followed me to my room. You then fell asleep after half pulling off your dress; you looked very silly so I changed you into something more comfortable," Mel said, calmly. Izuna stared at her, sipping the drink.

"Did you see anything?..." Izuna said quietly, turning away slightly. In her peripheral, she saw Mel don a devilish grin despite her calm face.

"Everything about you is adorable, even your breasts, Izuna," Mel said, giggling. Izuna felt her face warm up; for some reason, even after having them all her life, the word breast made her feel uncomfortable coming from Mel's mouth. The Ionian girl noticed this and continued.

"Would seeing me naked make you feel better? Are you jealous that I've seen more of you than you have of me? You just have to ask..." Mel said, raising her shirt up slightly. Izuna quickly shook her head as she downed the glass of milk.

"Did I tell you Joey from our class made it to Platinum rank already? I can't wait to start ranked practice," Izuna said, stretching her arms. Their pseudo academic vs. skill rivalry had rekindled with their quick conversation.

"I believed that. Maybe the name Joey is blessed with luck in the summoning arts? Vi finally returns tomorrow, we can finally begin," Mel said, taking the glass back.

"Unless she got in trouble in Piltover or something... It has been too quiet on the Rift lately. It's weird to not hear my champion talk back at me like Vi would," Izuna said, swinging her legs over the side of the bed. "So did you have fun yesterday?"

"I did. It was nice of them to invite me. I didn't know you were such a fan of alcohol though," Mel said, nodding as she began her sentence.

"I- I thought it was some kind of fruit punch at first," Izuna meekly said, standing up slowly. "Still, I'm curious."

"About?" Mel asked, standing up as well, heading for the small kitchen in her room.

"Joey's mysterious team. He told me nothing really seemed too incredible to have ever told me. Wonder if something happened, why they even disbanded?" Izuna said, as she grabbed her robe and headed into the other room. Mel's voice rose as she replied.

"I'm sure he has his reasons. He said many times his passion is teaching, maybe he doesn't care much about his time as a summoner. He might've just joined for Catherine and his friends' sake," Mel said. Izuna heard a chair being pulled, signaling she might have sat down. After a few seconds more, Izuna headed out, dressed in her outfit from the night before.

"I need to go get my robe, wanna get going?" Izuna said, putting the folded white shirt on Mel's table. The Ionian girl nodded and stood up.

"Will you actually wear a bra today?" Mel asked, coyly.

"The straps would've looked awkward. Plus, I wasn't planning on being stripped," Izuna said, giving her a glare.

"What fun would life be if things always went the way we planned?" Mel laughed, as they began to walk out of her room.

"You know, you could just leave him out of it. Izuna seems really curious," Catherine said, as she began to pile plates on her arms. With all the excitement of the previous night, she had gotten too tired to clean and had put it off till the morning. Joey, who had spent the night, sighed as the water from the sink was heard from him washing plates.

"It's not that big a deal, she'll easily make it to diamond if she wants to. I don't want her to feel like she has to prove something by making dangerous calls. She didn't think about how if I hadn't stolen the Baron, we would've easily lost the match," Joey explained.

"But you didn't and we didn't. That's impressive to her. You're forgetting she's looked up to you for eighteen years before even knowing how talented you were?" Catherine said, putting plates down beside him.

"If you say so, I'll talk to her sometime. Those five could make a team and take this academy by storm easily but I don't know how Izuna would feel about Joey being captain now," Joey said smiling.

"We should invite Caleb and Allison to visit, I'm sure they'd wanna meet them," Catherine said, placing the cleaned dining wear in the assigned cabinets.

"Haven't seen them in forever. Do you just want more excuses to drink?" Joey asked, giving her a look. She waved her wand slowly.

"It's called social drinking, Joseph. It's perfectly acceptable," she retorted, smirking.

"Get a hold of them then. I don't get why my backup path in life is the one people want to hear about. Is being a professor not exciting?" Joey jokingly sighed.

"There's that saying 'Those who can't do, teach' but we can do AND teach, shows them right for making up wrong sayings," Catherine said, seemingly getting riled up over nothing. Joey stared at her, thinking it would be one of those days. Catherine stopped and leaned over on the counter, resting her head on her hands and smirking. "Are you sure this all has nothing to do with Izuna and them beating us?"

"It does not. I'd be just as proud of her if she had failed miserably," Joey said, leaning against the sink. "I just want her to be happy."

"I know she is. She has a great dad," Catherine said, wrapping her arms around his neck.

"Hey, you and Mel are part of this weird family now. We should all go visit Ionia together, I'm sure they'd like to come," Joey said, turning around to look at her.

"I agree. My parents did want to meet Izuna eventually..."

"So you're the reason Joey has a beard?" Mel asked.

The duo quickly made their way to Izuna's room to retrieve her summoner robes. Mel, already dressed in hers, followed her as they idly chatted about the reason behind Joey's beard. Izuna smiled to herself as they neared the door to her room.

"Apparently when I was a baby, shaving cream was one of my favorite toys so he has to go a while without shaving and eventually kept it. I guess half the girls in our class would commend me for that, huh?" Izuna said, as she began to open the door.

"That sounds adorable," Mel said, chuckling quietly.

"What's this..." Izuna said, kneeling down.

She picked up a sealed envelope, stamped with the seal of the League. She quickly opened it and read through it quickly as Mel walked inside, grabbing her robe from her closet before walking beside her.

"What's it say?" Mel asked, looking over her shoulder slightly.

"It's an official match notice... For a small argument between two Demacian houses regarding a vote on a tax," Izuna said, placing it on her desk. She smiled. "This is exciting... It's requesting a mid laner but still."

"That's exciting, they said we would only get chosen for lesser importance matches but it's still exciting that you were chosen," Mel said, handing her the robe. "When is it?"

"It says tomorrow. Guess if it doesn't take too long we can still practice," Izuna said, beginning to change into her robe. She turned to Mel, who sat on the bed waiting patiently. "Mel?"

"Hmm?" She hummed, smiling. She turned her head away. "If you insist."

'I'm coming, get ready!' Izuna said, as she moved her summoned champion, Twisted Fate towards the bottom lane to get in range for his ultimate ability, Destiny.

'Focus on Vayne, her summoner's spells are down for now.' Mel said. Her partner, who had summoned Ashe, and Mel's summoned champion, Zyra, were pushed to their tower by an aggressive Vayne and Alistar. Izuna and Twisted Fate had managed to push their minion wave to the tower as their opposing Ziggs returned to base so they had a window of opportunity.

'Now!' Ashe's summoned said, as she commanded Ashe to shoot her enchanted crystal arrow towards Vayne. It hit Alistar, who was stunned for a brief second and, as Zyra casted her grasping roots, roared furiously and became resilient to damage.

A golden eye appeared above them as Twisted Fate quickly teleported down, beginning to cast his pick a card ability. A third golden eye appeared in the bush near Alistar and Vayne; the opposing Elise, ready to attack. He quickly appeared behind Vayne, holding a golden card. He threw it with force at the night hunter, stunning her, as Alistar head butted the card master away, as Elise shot a web towards him.

As Elise jumped towards them, Zyra casted her stranglethorns ability, priming the ground for a knock up. Elise repelled into the air to avoid the ability, Ashe continued to shoot a volley of frozen arrows to slow Alistar from getting in range to use his pulverize. Vayne eventually fell, taking down Zyra by condemning her to the wall. Twisted Fate tossed three cards after recovering from his mis-positioning, slaying Alistar. Elise repelled down behind him, sinking her fangs into the champions back. In a panic, he grabbed a card quickly and tossed it.

'Ashe, run!' Izuna said, as the red card connected with the spider queen. The ground beneath her champion began to darken, as Ziggs' mega inferno bomb came crashing down, felling the card master.

'I stopped Malphite from teleporting. Nice job guys.' Their top laner said, as he dove under tower to stop the enemy Malphite from teleporting with his champion, Renekton.

'I have enough for a Bloodthirster now, thanks,' Ashe's summoner said to Izuna.

'No problem. I haven't summoned Twisted Fate in a while, guess we're not used to each other so much anymore haha.' Izuna said, referencing her card failure.

Despite them losing more members during the fight, their jungler, who was summoned Xin Zhao, had taken Ziggs' second turret since he wouldn't have made it down in time to help the rest of the team, forcing the explosive Yordle to choose where to throw his bomb.

The rest of the match went in their favor. After catching the enemy Vayne out of position, their siege became unstoppable. With the constant wild cards and Volleys, accompanied with Xin and Leona's powerful engage and protection of the less armored combatants, they overtook the enemy base and managed to win.

As the summoners exited the summoning room, they exchanged farewells and praises but, despite her decent performance, Izuna sighed as she walked alongside Mel.

"I can't get the hang of Twisted Fate's gate... Good thing I have a few other tricks up my sleeve, hehe," Izuna said, hanging her head in an attempt to look dark and mysterious.

"It's hard to act sinister with bright pink hair," Mel said, laughing.

"Oh shush," Izuna said, pulling out the form from that morning, which she had signed in acceptance. "I'm going to hand this in, I'll meet you at your room?"

"Alright, I'll get the bed ready," Mel said, beginning to walk away.

"Alri- wait, what did you say?" Izuna said, turning around after only walking a few inches.

"Tea?" Mel said, with an innocent smile.

Izuna gave her a look she was too familiar with and began to head towards the woman at the desk where they queued up for their practices.

"Yo, pink hair," a male voice said. She turned towards the voice to see a robed guy leaning against the wall a few yards behind her. The black haired boy pushed himself off the wall.

"I have a name," Izuna said, crossing her arms. His voice sounded familiar... And she didn't like it.

"I don't remember it but I can't forget that hair color very easily. Where you off to? Done practicing already?" the boy asked, walking towards her.

"Yeah but I have places to go, if you'll excuse me," Izuna said, continuing to walk towards her destination.

"I wanted to ask you something before you go. I've been in practice matches against you for a while now and I've noticed something," the guy said, as Izuna stopped.

"What?" Izuna asked. She was getting impatient.

"Stop duoing with that girl. She's the reason why you ever lose," he said, pushing his hair back with his right hand. "Seems like a liability if you want to ascend the ranks."

"I don't care if she's not the greatest. I enjoy our time together, on and off the rift. You're that guy from our first practice match aren't you?" Izuna said, leaning against the opposite wall as she spoke.

"Yep. You've improved, she hasn't at all. We could be a great team together," Riley said, smirking.

"No thanks. I'm good. I have to go now," Izuna said, beginning to walk again, with no intention of stopping.

"Alright pink hair, have fun living in the silver ranks then," Riley said, waving as he took off in the opposite direction.

Izuna shrugged it off as she passed through a small hallway.

'What an asshole… I just want to relax now,'

The girl shuddered as a chilly wind blew. She began to feel a familiar presence and she decided to stop, as it was inevitable. She sighed to herself, clenched her fists, and spoke up.

"Why are you here this time?" Izuna said, as the hooded woman she had grown to hate appeared from the shadows. Time felt frozen, as it always did when she showed herself.

"It's not time for me to reveal my true intentions yet, my dear. I did feel the need to show you something, Izuna," the woman said, walking in front of her. She extended a hand. "That letter you received is deceitful; the text is encrypted to fool your eyes."

"How?" Izuna said, staring at the folded letter. "Who'd do something like that? There's lots of summoners beside me."

"For some reason: Noxians. The actual message is for some petty argument over a mineral depository in the Howling Marsh recruiting you to fight for Noxus' occupation of it… but you really don't understand yet, do you?" the woman said, moving her cold hand onto Izuna's face. The girl remained still, as she always did. "You're not a regular summoner. Your potential is limitless; you could stop these humans from toying with you easily."

"Huh… I guess I won't turn this in then," Izuna said, nodding and walking past the woman. She turned her head as she stopped a few feet forward, flashing a smile and closing her eyes. "Thanks for the warning. I don't know what your 'true intentions' are but please leave me out of it. I just want to be a normal girl."

"I don't think that'll be possible. It's only a matter of time before you do what you were born to do, my dear. It's impossible to change your destiny," The woman said, flashing a frigid smile from what little visible face she had.

"Heh… Guess we'll see when that comes then," Izuna said, walking past her. "I won't hold back."

"I wouldn't want it any other way," the woman said, vanishing as Izuna continued to walk.

Izuna smirked. The woman had haunted her dreams for the past few weeks, making her terrified of being alone. Her heart was pounding; what she did was reckless. The signed form in her hand began to burn as she casted a spell she was supposed to only use in the fields of justice.

She definitely knew she wasn't normal anymore. It was time for her to do what she was born to do. That, she knew.

Thoughts appreciated.
