Backness! Chapters are going to be less frequent, working 45-51hr a week so really tired!
Chapter Ten: Dreams.
It had been nearly three weeks since the Winter Palace had started to be rebuilt and not a soul had heard from any of the rulers, in the meantime, the Seasonal Sheppard's (or Guiders) had been ruling the seasons. The Bennett family had been moving from Guardian home to Guardian home, each had preferred one home over the rest,
Jamie liked the wonder of North's home, the elves Blowing things up every day, the Yeti's working without stop, Joyce had liked Tooth's home best, the glittering gold and sheer number of Fairies made it seem like a real family, Sophie had liked Bunny's best, purely because Bunny was the owner, they'd spent the whole time together.
However, they knew when the third week would end, they would be moving into Jack's Palace, as it had the most room, and Jack didn't need it all. Jamie thought it would be wonderful, he often wondered what Jack's house was like.
Jamie awoke one night panting, he was scared, he knew it, something, someone had attacked him in his dreams, he looked at his arm and screamed. The first through the door was Pitch, he'd sensed Jamie's fear and been on his way, then the scream made him run. North appeared behind him, looking over at Jamie's sheets, to see Blood.
"Vhat has happened here?" North asked,
"The… The Trickster…." Jamie told North,
"We need Sandy, if the child is being attacked in his dreams, then who better to fight the attacker than the Guardian of Dreams" Pitch told North,
"We need all Guardian's now Pitch" North told him,
"What's going on?" Sophie asked trying to pass North and Pitch,
"Jamie has been attacked by Trickster, we summoning Guardian's, Gaia wont be happy, today is Winter Celebrations" North told her, "Go to room, I get Bunny to see you when he arrive"
Sophie nodded and rushed off,
"I Will be back soon, there is something I must see first" Pitch told North before vanishing.
"Jamie come, I show you something that no Mortal has ever seen!" North smiled holding Jamie's arm, examining the cut upon it, it was shallow but ran the length of his arm, he got a couple of Yeti's to bandage it, while he walked to the Guardian's Globe, turning the switch and looking at Jamie as he pushed it down.
Immediately the lights went off and a gasp went out from Jamie, after ten minutes Bunny ran inside, Sandy flew in on his bi-plane, Tooth fluttered in and Pitch reappeared scowling,
"Where's Jack?" Jamie asked,
"Missing, the Winter Celebration has not started nor is he at the Winter Palace" Pitch scowled,
"That's because I've been helping to move the Summer Palace to the Nature Plain" Jack flew in through the door, almost falling over.
"Are you ok Jack?" Tooth asked,
"Yeah, just a little Tired, Wynter is doing a good job of ruling Winter but I'm its true Prince and I need to talk the Throne back, we've already Moved Spring and Autumn's Palace, just mine left" Jack told them, "And when I sit upon the Winter Throne, I shall rest once more"
"How long will it take for you to rest?" Bunny asked,
"Too long if I'm needed" Jack replied,
"So North, why did you call us?" Tooth asked,
"The Trickster has attacked young Jamie in his dreams" North told them and in an instant a storm blew up outside, The Guardian's turned to look at Jack,
"I'll destroy him!" Jack Roared,
"I have a plan" Pitch told them, "Risky, but it's the only way, we, that being myself, Sanderson and Frost, channel our strength together and Face the trickster, within the Dreamworld"
"You intend to use my son as bait!" Joyce roared from a corner where she'd been hiding,
"It is the only way to get rid of him entirely, otherwise, next time he sleeps the Trickster may kill him" Jack told her,
"How though?" Joyce asked, "A dream is a dream…"
"Except if a spirit makes it, then it becomes a living consence, something that dwells in the mental and physical world, they can injure or heal, make someone forget or remember" Jack told her, then noticing how everyone looked at him, "What? Sandy tells me a lot when we have a chat"
Sandy jumped up, smile on his face, clearly surprised that Jack had listened and remembered it all.
"So who's going into Jamie's Dream?" Joyce asked,
"Me, Pitch and Sandy" Jack told her,
"Pff… You'll need a Balance to face the Trickster again!" Bunny told Jack,
"I can grab the other Rulers and we can all go in together…. But Pitch and Sandy's Balance should be enough" Jack told them,
"That is true!" North Boomed, "But I don't want Pitch within Jamie's mind, maybe when he can be trusted!"
"Oh fine!" Pitch scowled, "I only saved you from that Daemon, no reason to trust me!"
"I'll go summon the Seasonal Rulers, with us four we shouldn't have to much trouble with Trickster" Jack nodded, smiling to Jamie who seemed to be trying to make himself as small as possible.
"Meanwhile Sandy shall be preparing to enter Jamie's dream, we will set up for five to enter, the four seasons and Sandy" Tooth told Jack,
"I'll be right Back Jamie, stay safe!" Jack told Jamie before turning around, flying out of the window, leaving the other Guardian's to stand there, looking at Jamie.
(The Seasonal Plain)
Jack landed down, the North wind sweeping around him, his outfit immediately changed, gone was the wild teenager look, now there was a regal outfit that seemed to be made of frost itself, Jack walked calmly and rearranged the Circlet upon his head, a mark of how he was yet to be Marked King.
He walked towards where the great Tree of Nature stood, the four Palaces all in their rightful places around it.
Jack smiled as he saw spirits all talking together peacefully, some bowed to him others ignored him, he didn't care, he walked purposefully towards Natura's tree and then when he reached it, tapped on it lightly with his staff, in an instant, the tree twisted and revealed a door.
Jack walked inside the Tree and was greeted by a couple of Guard's,
"Prince Frost, why are you here?" One Guard asked,
"I seek the council of the Seasonal rulers" Jack told him,
"They are speaking with Gaia, you shall not disturb them!" The second Guard told him, Jack sighed, his staff flicking around, with two slashes, he knocked them out and left them crumpled on the floor,
"Next time, remember who your talking to" Jack told the unconscious guards
Jack walked into the inner sanctum, and found Reece, Rose and Dawn all sitting upon their Thrones, a single spirit speaking with them,
"Frost is a plague on Winter, if you bounded together then with my support, we could destroy him!" Wynter told them,
"You would try and strike down Prince Jackson… why?" Reece asked, his hand upon his Mace,
"Because he is a poor choice of ruler, he'd rather play and laugh than spread the dread of Winter!" Wynter told them,
"Maybe because Winter is not only about Death and cold" Jack said from the shadows, appearing out of them when Wynter turned around to face him,
"Wynter Shards, you are under detainment!" Jack told him, "For conspiracy, Will you yield to your Prince?"
"NEVER!" Wynter yelled, blasting Ice at Jack, who flicked the North Wind around him, the wind froze and Wynter smirked, before the ice cracked to reveal Jack now held the Sword of Winter in his hand,
"Wynter Shards, you have been found Guilty!" Dawn called, jumping up, her axe in hand,
"And now the four Rulers shall issue punishment!" Rose smirked, her club in hand,
"and we shall show no mercy!" Reece growled, his mace appearing within his hand,
"You four think yourselves so mighty, so powerful, yet you are tiny, I shall call all the Spirits who follow the Sheppard's and we shall face you head on, let us see then who is the most powerful!" Wynter smirked,
"You think that the other Sheppards would follow you?" Jack asked,
"They have been plotting for years, Jackson, now soon…. The Throne's will be ours!" Wynter growled, as he flew off, the North wind regretfully carrying him,
"Rebellion?" Dawn asked, "We must summon the Mother, come!"
With that the four rulers all rushed off together, they all smirked as they climbed over the unconscious forms of the guards and walked to the grand throne where Natura sat,
"Children, what brings you all here?" Natura asked,
"The Sheppard's have abandoned their post, they mean to rebel against us, meanwhile the Trickster continue's his terror upon Mr Bennett and the Guardian's are all but helpless, we come seeking your council on what we must do" Jack told her,
"Much of this is serious" Natura told them, "The Sheppard's are much older and more experienced than all four of you, be on your guard…. As for the Trickster, I take it that is why you came, to seek the complete Balance to rid the world of his influence"
"That is correct" Jack told them, "Sandy means to enter the child's dream, we need a Balance to be able to fight him"
"We'll help, Natura, can you rally our armies, if the Sheppard's want a War, they shall face our complete Might" Reece nodded,
"I shall do so, but I shall not alert anyone" Natura told them, "if they find out, they will think that we are readying to otherthrow them, we cannot trust even Manny with this…."
The Rulers nodded while sharing a Glance, they knew what they needed to do… but they didn't like it.
