Chapter 9
"Oh I'm so glad to meet you all! But I do wish I looked more presentable." Narcissa says sitting up, trying to smooth out the invisible wrinkles in the hospital gown. "Narcissa you look beautiful. As always." Alaric says kissing her head. A collective 'awww' rings out from all the girls in the room. Narcissa blushes and Draco rolls his eyes. I elbow him in the side. "Darling, do you need anything?" Alaric asks. "Water. And my grandbabies." She says reaching for the twins. I smile handing her the twins. "Well we are all so happy you are ok." Aunt Adalyn says. "And in love!" Auntie Gia says with a large smile. Narcissa giggles as Alaric comes back in the room levitating several glasses. "I wasn't sure if you wanted regular, sparkling or flavored so I bought one of everything." He says floating the options near her. "Regular is fine." She says blushing. "I have a wonderful idea!" Auntie Gia exclaims. "What?" I say laughing at her enthusiasm. "We should have a family feast held in honor of being one big happy family. We all come and Narcissa invites whoever she wishes." Auntie Gia says with a clap of her hands. "That's a wonderful idea Gia." Narcissa says with a smile. "Perfect. Adrie, can we have it at your house?" Auntie Gia asks. "Of course. I should go tell Mother she will be thrilled to have an excuse to go shopping." I say walking out of the room. "Draco let me watch my little miracles while you help Adrienne." I hear Narcissa say. Draco jogs out to me and puts his arms around me as we walk to the apparition point.
"Mother!" I yell after stepping out of the fireplace. Draco steps out after me and brushes the soot off his jacket. Mother rushes into the room. "Oh Adrienne dear! And Draco! What a surprise." Mother says with a smile. "Devine! Your daughter is here." Mother yells for my father. "How is my sweet Angel?" Father says walking in the door. "I'm good Daddy." I say hugging him. We can hear heavy foot falls coming towards the room. "Adrie!" Oliver yells running into the room and tackling me with a hug. "Hey Ollie." I say hugging back. "So why are you here? Shouldn't you be with your mother?" Mother says to Draco. "Well, Auntie Gia thought that we should have a family reunion. We can invite your brother and sister dad. And mom, Auntie Gia wants to bring her new boyfriend." I say. "That sounds like a wonderful idea!" Mother says. "Yes I figured you and I could plan the party." I tell Mother. "Oh that is wonderful! We need to make a list of family members, which means a trip to the family records library. And then we need to go shopping, after we receive the RSVP of course." Mother says ticking off the to do list on her fingers. "Ok ok." I laugh holding my hands up. "Come on!" Mother says taking my hand and practically running to the Floo room. "See you later Draco!" I shout behind me as I'm dragged behind Mother.
