Gohanna's eye would not stop twitching. Hercule had tried getting out of the match by claiming to have a stomach ache. His refusal to accept medical aide, however, had pushed him into a difficult position; if he didn't want medicine, his stomach clearly did not hurt that badly. Videl was also quick to point out when her dad stopped writhing, which was suspicious even to the gullible crowd.
Now, after almost forty-five minutes of standing in the ring waiting, Gohanna was well and truly annoyed. Fed up she called out, "If he is that scared to face me then let him be a coward. I have no intention of spending the rest of my life in this ring waiting for him to enter it."
This insult was too much for Hercule, he completely forgot why it was a bad idea to try and fight this girl and boldly yelled, "I ain't no coward. No punk kid is going to call me a coward and get away with it."
Videl dryly said, "Looks like his stomach is better."
Gohanna smirked, now that Hercule was grandstanding again it was time to put her plan into action. "Before we begin I have a request," she said, loud enough to be heard over the cheers of the crowd, "I would like you to swear on your honor that you will not hold back in our fight."
Understandably she was met with many confused looks, she elaborated, "Due to my age and gender many people have underestimated me. I would merely like to ensure that that does not happen in this fight." She smiled innocently at the crowd.
Puffed up with pride, Hercule did not recognize the trap and thus walked right into it, "Yeah, I'll come at you with everything I've got." At the prompting look he clarified, "I swear on my honor."
With that done the match began. Determined to prove a point, Gohanna made a show of effortlessly blocking Hercule's attacks and not even the most diehard of Hercule's fans could claim that he had her on the ropes; she was clearly toying with him.
His anger only served to make his attacks sloppier and his sloppy technique only made her look more graceful. Finally Gohanna got bored and decided she had proved her point and punched him as lightly as she could in the stomach. It was light enough that she didn't send him flying through the wall though it did send him out of the ring.
There was silence as the crowd tried to come to terms with the fact that their savior had been so easily beaten again. Predictably, Hercule started going on about how she was god for a girl her age, but it would still be some time before she was ready for a real fight with him. He claimed that he had lost in order to not damage her confidence.
Gohanna pounced and, faking and incredulous tone, said, "You mean you let me win?"
With a laugh Hercule said, "Well of course I did, I'm the strongest in the universe."
Inwardly she smirked, she had him now, "But you swore on your honor that you wouldn't hold back."
Hercule blanched, he had clearly just realized what he had unwittingly agreed to.
"So which is it?" she asked in an innocent tone, "Did you lose and are trying to save face or did you throw the fight even though you swore on your honor not to do so?"
"Well uh, that is…" he stammered. The crowd was silent as they watched.
"Which is it?" She insisted. "Are you lying about losing on purpose or did you break an oath you swore on your honor?"
Hercule got mad then, how dare she call him out like this. "You cheated." He accused.
Gohanna frowned, "How do you figure?" she asked. "I used a recognized martial arts style and threw a single punch. Where was the room for cheating?"
Hercule cursed when he realized she hadn't used any of those light tricks during this fight. "I tripped and fell out of the ring," he said.
Gohanna looked at him with a raised eyebrow, "First you said you let me win, then you said I cheated, now you say you tripped. It sounds like you're making excuses, especially since you faked a stomach ache to try and avoid fighting me at all. Besides, you already used the tripping excuse when 18 beat you. It was very reminiscent of how Cell sent you flying over 200 feet out of the ring and you claimed you slipped."
Hercule blanched again. He did not want to know where she was going by bringing up the Cell Games. "What would you know about that, you little brat?" he asked angrily.
"I was there," she said, much to the crowd's shock and Hercule's horror. "I was there with my friends. My dad sent me out to fight while you were pretending to have a stomach ache. Sound familiar? Because of my name the idiot reporter thought we were ordering food and thus dubbed me a 'Delivery Girl.'"
Hercule blustered in denial, "The Delivery Girl was blonde, you can't be her."
Gohanna quickly ascended, showing off her blonde hair. "My power-up knocked out the camera as well as the reporter. You watched me beat Cell and then we left because I needed medical attention and you told the World that you did it."
The crowd was moving past shock and towards anger. Some were angry that Gohanna would make up such lies against their savior. Other believed her, remembering the six year old girl who sent him flying and how easily 18 beat him. They also remembered seeing Hercule easily defeated by Cell, his great defeat of Cell had absolutely no witnesses.
However, Gohanna was not done yet, "Lying and stealing credit wasn't enough for you though. You belittled the other fighters despite the fact that they all did a much better job of fighting Cell than you. And one thing I can't forgive is your blatant disrespect, two of those fighters you have taken such joy in mocking and belittling died. You never acknowledged their sacrifice and it is despicable the way you have demeaned them."
This more than anything turned the crowd in Gohanna's favor, it had always seemed very suspicious that such a strong, evil creature didn't kill anyone during the Games. They could also see that Hercule was getting paler as if he was afraid rather than becoming red in outrage at being called a liar.
The announcer stepped in then with a question, "If all this is true then why wait until now to say anything?"
"As I said, after the fight I needed urgent medical care, I could have lost my arm. Then we were rather busy mourning the people we lost. Most of us live very solitary, reclusive lives, I didn't even know Hercule had taken credit for Cell for almost three years. And it really didn't bother me until I started going to high school and realized how he was disparaging all of us as if he had been some kind of hero. It was obnoxious and quite frankly insulting. I talked to the others and they said they felt only I had the right to do anything about it otherwise they would have do so sooner. I decided that I'd confront him here at the tournament. I knew I'd beat him, and I also knew he'd try to play it off. That's why I made him swear not to hold back. I decided that I'd only bring up the Cell Games if he refused to concede defeat."
"Wait," the announcer said incredulously, "you'd have let him continue to lie to us?"
Gohanna shrugged, "It isn't my problem if people want to listen to a guy they all saw being swatted away like a bug when he claims to have stepped up and beat Cell with one punch and absolutely no witnesses. I'm only getting involved because of how insulting he is. If he'd kept his damn mouth shut I'd have let it go."
Hercule was cursing himself for his need to disparage any fighters he knew were actually stronger than him. If he hadn't done so he wouldn't have to deal with this now.
"So what do you intend to do now that everyone knows the truth? Will you be opening a gym and training students like Mr. Satan?"
"No," she said bluntly. "I don't intend for my life to change at all. I'm not going to be doing silly shows like Hercule did nor will I be making public appearance just for the sake of being seen somewhere. I'm going to go to school, hang out with my friends and continue raising my daughter." This was immediately followed by an internal, vicious curse, she had not meant to say that.
"Daughter?" seemed to be the primary question floating around, most seemed angry and judgmental.
Gohanna panicked, just looking at how old Pan was and how young Gohanna was would make it clear that something was off about her conception. Normally this would be the part where the rape came up and she explained what happened. However, Pan was young enough that Gohanna hadn't told her, or Goten or Trunks, the truth. How was she going to explain to the announcer while avoiding the kids finding out? She looked into the crowd where her family was sitting and something in her face must have clued Chichi into her dilemma. Quickly Chichi covered Goten's ears and a few sharp words saw Bulma doing the same with Trunks while Yamcha and Master Roshi did the same for Pan and Marron. It was far from ideal and she knew that reporters would go crazy with the story and she would need to tell the kids the truth very soon. She cursed her slip up again.
"Yes, daughter. I was raped just before the Cell Games and ended up pregnant. The girl who won the junior tournament is my daughter."
There were many shouts demanding to know who the father was, they were met by a truly poisonous glare, "That is no one's business but my own. None of you have any right to even ask that question. Shame on all of you for treating it like some idle gossip. It is truly disgusting to know that people are going to be talking about what happened and speculate about details. I say this now, you won't be getting any details from me."
The announcer gulped, he had been one of the ones to ask and it seemed like a really bad idea to annoy the extremely powerful woman.
Unfortunately Hercule was not nearly so wise, "You little punks! You're just trying to seduce my Videl so she will take care of you and your bastard!"
Videl gave an absolutely horrified shout of "Daddy!" as she tried to hide out of sight.
Gohanna was pissed off. Neither she nor Videl had been ready to go public with their relationship, how dare he out them. And nobody called her baby a bastard. She really was debating attacking the man when Piccolo entered her mind, telling her to calm down. She reluctantly did so before levelling a heavy gaze on Hercule. She hoped Videl could forgive her for this. "You say I seduced Videl? She asked me out. And as for her taking care of us, we get by just fine. And the winnings from this tournament will help out a lot. If we needed help I wouldn't try begging my girlfriend. Bulma Briefs is my godmother, she'd never let us starve. And my grandpa, the Ox King, would be the first one to step in if my family needed help."
"You're a princess?" gasped the announcer.
"Yes. As is my daughter. We are very well connected. So I would appreciate it if you didn't male such gross assumptions without some sort of basis."
As she glared Gohanna had a moment to be wildly thankful that she had already told all of this to her friends or else this would have been very awkward. She cursed again her slip of the tongue, she hadn't intended any of this.
"If it's all the same to you I'd like my winnings now. It's time for me to go home. I have nothing further to say to any of you. It has been a very long day and I am more than ready for it to end."
The crowd was understandable displeased with this decree but the officials of the tournament were left with little choice as Gohanna blatantly refused to answer any more questions.
Knowing that she had been very firmly outed to the public, Videl figured she might as well stop hiding. Videl walked out of the waiting area, prompting whispering among the crowd. She did her best to ignore everyone else, focusing only on her girlfriend, "I really don't want to be around my dad right now, do you think I could stay with you for a while?"
Gohanna smiled at the shorter girl, hating what Hercule had just done. "Sure. We're going to be at CC for a few days, after that we'll have to talk to Mother, we'd have to share a room and she might not be OK with that."
Gohanna was distracted from this talk by the announcer presenting her with her check. This served as some sort of signal for the group as, after ensuring that 18 and Krillin had gotten their checks as well, the group immediately lifted into the air. They flew into the stands, shocking nearby spectators, and Goku and Vegeta lifted their wives, 18 carried Marron, Krillin picked up Master Roshi and Gohanna carried the Ox King as they all blasted off towards Capsule Corp, too impatient to wait on a vehicle.
