Soft morning light reflected of the pool water casting Solomon and I in blinding light. I watched him nervously expecting him to succumb to combustion at any moment.
"If you're waiting for a firework display you will be very disappointed." He grinned widely at me.
The two of us sat on lawn chairs in front of a massive swimming pool that emptied out on the far end with an infinity edge. Half an hour ago I had wandered out to the back of the house because I couldn't sleep. A few minutes later Solomon took the seat next to me. We didn't talk as the sun rose from the pool.
It wasn't until the sun was safely in the air that Solomon turned towards me. "So do you come here often?"
I blinked bewildered. "This is your house. I've never been here before."
Solomon's head tilted back and a grin split his face. His shoulders shook as the golden sound of laughter poured from his mouth. "I'm trying to flirt with you." He whipped his eyes. "I had forgotten how bloody hard it is to flirt with you."
Rolling my eyes I swallowed the smile attempting to bubble up. "Alcohol helps."
He sobered his eyes searching mine. "You are one of a kind Hazel Kane."
"Gray." I whispered totally lost in his eyes. "My name is Hazel Gray."
His smile bled into his eyes. "You will always be mine."
"Ahem." A polite cough shattered what ever spell that trapped us in tranquility. Anna one of Solomon's day servants stood awkwardly at the doors to the house almost embarrassed by whatever transpired between Solomon and I. "Mr. Krell is here to see you for your treatment."
Solomon shoot Anna a sharp glare. "I'll be right in." He snarled pulling to his feet he held out a hand. "Would you like to accompany me inside? We can find you something to eat."
I stared at his outstretched hand with narrowed eyes before reluctantly placing my hand in his. "What kind of treatment?"
He grinned wickedly at me before closing his eyes and facing the sun. "The kind that grants me the ability to experience this."

"He is waiting for you in your office." Anna shot me a smile as she disappeared into the deep darkness of the house. "If you need anything elseā¦"
Solomon lead me to the front of the house and his office. "I am assuming that you will be wanting to watch."
"You know me so well." I murmured dryly.
Smirking he pushed open the door and lead me into the room.
"Mr. Kane it's-." The young man stopped mid word as his eyes locked on me. "You!"
My shoulders tensed as I recognize the cleanly dressed hellion. He had cut his hair since the picture was taken but the boy was the spitting image of Leah.
Ripping at my shirt I forced myself to change.
"Hazel." Solomon growled looking between Mr. Krell and I. "What is going on."
My jaw thickened. "That's the bastard that burned down the Blue Fairy."
