AU: When Kate walked into the coffee shop before work, she had no idea she was going to run into her favorite author, literally. A story of how two people fall in love after a chance meeting. Kate is in her second year as a homicide detective and is 28 and Rick is 35. I know i'm off on the ages but its how it worked into my story. Please review. Rated T to be safe.

Authors Note.

I know you are going to be disappointed that this isn't an new chapter but I will have a new chapter up by the end of this week.

I am writing this cause I know that I promised a new chapter a little over 2 weeks ago and I still haven't got one up but I have a good reason. My computer decided that it wanted to crash and stop working when I was in the middle of writing new chapters so I lost everything I was working on. With work and college I haven't been able to get my computer fixed and couldnt start writing again. But I am on vacation and I was able to get my computer fixed so hopefully it wont crash again.

I am working on new chapters as you read this and I hope to have another one up if not tonight, tomorrow definitely.

I am so sorry for the wait and I hope you all are still excited about this story. I hate when I can't get the chapters up quickly for you all. I hope you stick with me. Its an old laptop and does whatever it wants and soon I will be getting a new one!

On another note thank you all for the follows and reviews. I appreciate them and I am so happy that you all are enjoying my story. This is my first attempt at a castle story so it makes me happy that you like it.
