"Let's go! Using the Scale one Stargazer Magician, and the Scale eight Timegazer Magician I set the Pendulum Scale!" Haruna sets the aforementioned cards on her Duel Disk and the word "PENDULUM" appear on it in rainbow colors as Stargazer and Timegazer Magician appear on either side of her. A giant Pendulum begins swaying behind her and a wormhole opens in the sky above her.

Two revealed cute petite girls with white dresses and tiny wings on their backs, one revealed a cute petite cute girl dressed in Gothic Lolita fashion, one revealed itself as a messenger and the last revealed itself as a large red and white dragon with blue and red orbs on it's body.

"Incredible Haruna has Pendulum Summoned again!" Leo was saying over the loudspeaker to loudly for even Haruna to tune out.
Haruna took a deep breath before making her next move. "I overly my level four Madolche Anjelly and my Level Madolche Magileine; as well as my level four Madolche Anjelly and my Madolche Messengelato to build the Overlay Networks! XYZ Summon, Rank four!" Two galaxy shaped Overlay Networks appeared on Haruna's field and her four monsters changed into balls of light and paired off into each one. Then a two bright flashes of blue light and two explosions occurred and the number "101" flashed on either side of Haruna, who began chanting in Japanese. "Arawarero! Nanbāzu Hyakuichi! Mitasa renu tamashī o noseta hakobune yo. Hikari todokanu shin'en yori fujō seyo! Sairento Onāzu Āku Naito!" Two blue and black ships burst into existence on her field each with two overlay units circling around them, and the Number "101" emblazoned on their cockpits in sky blue.
Number 101: S.H. ARK Knight – WATER – Rank 4 – Overlay Units:2 x2

"But I'm not done yet! I activate Rank-Up Magic Barian's Force! Now I rebuild the Overlay Network with one of my Silent Honors ARK Knight's." The monster on her right drops into another Overlay Network and a flash of light and the Number "101" flashes in cyan. "Go Rank-Up Chaos XYZ Evolution!" An explosion occurs and once more Haruna begins chanting in Japanese. "Arawarero, Kaosu Nanbāzu Hyakuichi! Mitasa renu tamashī no shugosha yo, ankoku no kishi to natte hikari o kudake! Sairento Onāzu Dāku Naito!" A dark warrior with a trident appeared on Haruna's field with three Overlay Units circling around it, the Number "101" emblazoned on a piece of armor on it's right flank in cyan.
Number C101: S.H. Dark Knight – WATER – Rank 5 – Overlay Units: 3
[Aqua/XYZ/Effect] ATK/2800 DEF/1500
Leo and the crowd were beside themselves with how Haruna had made such a combo, and could possibly turn this entire duel around in a single turn. "I can't believe my eyes, she pulled off two XYZ Summons at the same time, and then even managed to Rank-Up one of them into a Chaos XYZ! This what a true Action Duel is people, excitement and entertainment at it's best!"
Altager looked at Haruna a look of fear in his eyes. Haruna just grinned. "Payback's a bitch huh? I activate the effect of Silent Honors ARK Knight! By detaching two overlay units, I can target one of your face-up Special Summoned Monsters in attack mode and have it become one of it's Overlay Units." Both of S.H. ARK Knight's Overlay Units were absorbed into it's cockpit, then blue lights flew out from it, ensnaring one of Altager's Judgment Dragons and turning into a ball of light which then went into orbit around S.H. ARK Knight
Number 101: S.H. ARK Knight – Overlay Units: 2 – 0 – 1
"Next I activate the effect of Chaos Number 101. I'm taking your last Judgment Dragon as an Overlay Unit Altager." Chaos Number 101 swung it's trident down and pointed it at Altager's last Judgment Dragon and yellow beams of lightning came from it and wrapped themselves like chains around it, and turned into a ball of light which went into orbit around Chaos Number 101.
Number C101: S.H. Dark Knight – Overlay Units: 3 – 4
"Now to end this! Go Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon, attack Altager directly!" With a roar Odd-Eyes leapt up in the air and opened it's mouth. "Go Spiral Strike Burst!" A black and red spiral of energy burst out of it's mouth and at Altager.
"Not gonna happen!" Altager bellows. "I activate the effect of Necro Gardna in my grave! By excluding this card from the game, I can negate one of your monster's attacks!" Necro Gardna appeared in front of him and absorbed the attack causing it to explode. "You can't touch me this turn, you have only three Monsters, and I have two more Necro Gardna's in my grave. And on my next turn, I will win with what I have left to me."
"Yeah about that," Haruna said simply; "is that I knew what I was going to have to deal with, so I came prepared for this type of situation. Normally my deck doesn't run this Spell Card, but I had to make an exception this time. I activate Double Or Nothing!" Haruna activated one of the cards in her hand.

"This card let's one monster I control whose attack was negated attack once again twice as strong. Go Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon attack again Spiral Strike Burst!" Odd-Eyes leapt fired another beam of energy at Altager.
"I activate Necro Gardna once more!" Another Necro Gardna appeared and absorbed the attack before exploding.
"I activate another Double Or Nothing!"
Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon – ATK: 5000 – 10,000
"I activate Necro Gardna once more!" Once more a Necro Gardna appears and takes the attack exploding in the process. "Perfect!" he though. "Show me just how good you are. Show me that potential I see inside you! Show everyone what I know Haruki saw in you!"
"I activate my last copy of Double Or Nothing! Go Odd-Eyes finish this! SPRIAL STRIKE BURST!" Odd-Eyes blasted another burst of energy at Altager who stood his ground.

The energy blast hit Altager full force the shockwave blasting through the area and sending Altager flying into the air with a cry before landing flat on his back.

ARC 10: War Declared! L.D.S. Challenges Duel Academia!
Stunned silence accompanied the end sounds of the Duel as the Action Field faded away. Everyone was just to stunned at what they had witnessed to even applaud. In the farthest back and highest seats in the stands, a young man wearing a stolen Obelisk Blue uniform and a sinister look on his face turned on his heel and left the arena feeling satisfied that his plan was working so well.
In the mid levels of the stands Haruki sat with Ruxki and Roxas grinning like an idiot. He turned to the other two and saw the looks of shock on their faces and his grin got even wider. "I told you she had this in the bag. Space-Time Madolche, a deck I dreamed up but couldn't make work." Here he closed his eyes and sighted. "However, Haruna breathed life into it a way I couldn't."
Ruxki just looked over at Haruki aghast. "YOU dreamed that up?!" Haruki nodded his head, eyes not leaving Haruna as she walked over to Altager and helped him to his feet in a show of sportsmanship. "You...are...my god; I don't even know what to make of you anymore. Madolche is already a bit of a troll deck, BUT this shit is insane." He looked back down at the field. "That is now one of the most insanely sadistic troll decks I have ever seen. Why would you add Pendulums and speed up a control deck like that? WHY?"
Haruki just chuckled but before he could answer Roxas turned to Ruxki and said quiet simply: "Big words coming from the man who trolled Seto Kaiba with a fucking Happy Lover."
At these words Ruxki turned to glare at Roxas. "Why I ought t-"
"Lovers quarrel?" A voice from next to them asked cutely. All three of the guys turned and saw Haruna was standing there with a sweet innocent look on her face. "Seriously; Ruxki, Roxas; people who love each other shouldn't fight like that~." A sly grin crossed her face as Ruxki and Roxas were both rendered temporarily dumbfounded ant speechless and Haruki started laughing.
"Love knows no gender then it seems." a laughing voice said walking over to them. Leo appeared and was laughing himself silly at Haruna's line.
"Says the siscon Sensei." Ruxki said his voice dripping with his suppressed anger.
"And Haruna as one who is as oblivious as you are in regards to love; I feel you have VERY little right to assume things." Roxas said calmly a vein in his temple throbbing.
"But when the other day when I opened the storage closet to get the cleaning supplies Professor Mokey asked for, I saw you guys in their...alone...and...very close." Haruna said slyly.
"We got locked in there by Haruki after we teased him about a...certain...thing...about him and he managed to trick us as a form of payback." Ruxki responded.
"Okay, enough attempts at trolling." Leo said noticing that everyone else had left the arena while they were arguing and he was listening to it with amusement. "Let's get out of here." He points at Haruna and Haruki; "First things first though: You two need to go find a nice Gym Storage Room and have it so we can lose this damn tension, it's annoying me to death." Turning from Haruna's and Haruki's shocked and beet red faces he pointed at Roxas and Ruxki. "And secondly: I want you two take this;" here he holds up a tube labeled "Engine Lubricant" grinning at the looks of fury starting to cross their faces; "down to the Duel Runner garage and help Professor Mokey clean, oil, and lubricate the new Z-Class engines he perfected as it is your turn. You can use this for NOTHING ELSE got it?" He sticks the tube in Roxas's front jacket pocket and walks away leaving four kids at lost for words in their rage. Finally Haruna breaks the silence with an angry scream of frustration.

Haruna stood there panting her face red as she finally started calming down and turned to look at the others who were all staring at her shocked. She grinned at them. "Well I feel better now.~" The others just remained in stunned silence.
In Miami City a business woman's phone rang. Picking it up she was immediately greeted by a male voice. "Chair Woman, Altager succeeded in his secret endeavor. He easily beat the former Pro Regional Champion Ryusei Haruki. This caused as I predicted the girl who we offered a full-scholarship to; Tsubaki Haruna to get mad and challenge him to a duel which he lost outright and caused him to be forced to transfer to Duel Academia as per a bet made on said duel. Now we have a justifiable reason to head to Duel Academia and issue a challenge that will result in us gaining possession of Duel Academia and under that guise of challenge search for those cards."
The chair woman smiled sinisterly as she replied. "Indeed just as you planned Dorri'r Amser. You are good at reading people and anticipating the oppositions actions. Tell me; from what you have seen of their duelist personally: Are there any other students of note?"
"Only in the freshman year that I have seen. One is named Ruxki Nightwalker, the other Roxas "Flashblade" alias for Roxas Sawatari, twin brother of Shingo Sawatari."
"I see. Then I know just who to bring with me for sure now. Thank you Amser, good-bye." She hands up the phone and sits back in her seat and smiles malevolently. "Soon, soon L.D.S. will have the Sacred Beasts, and they will allow us to truly become the strongest and best Duel School in the world." She glances to the seat on the other side of the limo she is sitting in where another person was facing her grinning. "I am glad for your help Marwolaeth-sama, thanks to you I can make sure L.D.S. will endure forever."
A young man with silver hair, purple eyes behind red framed glasses clicks a switch on his desk and turns of his speaker which was playing the conversation between his mother a person on the phone and a voiceless entity named Marwolaeth-sama. Pushing his glasses up Reiji Akaba felt concern. "Something is indeed up, I should head there as well."
That night a party was held at the Osiris Red Dorm to celebrate the incredible win of Haruna against Altager and to welcome the latter to the Osiris Red Dorm upon his admission. As the party went on it became evident that Altager was far from a sadistic person, in fact quite the opposite he was kind and friendly; revealing he was only acting on orders from Chair woman of the Leo Corporation Himika Akaba. The real reason he came to Duel Academia it appears was to see and Duel against Haruki to see how good his skills were. However something didn't change. That being that he (to Haruki's constant annoyance) kept making passes at Haruna, which resulted with Haruna shooting him down every time. The party wound down around midnight and everyone went off to bed not knowing that tomorrow something big would start happening.
"So, since you have stolen and humiliated one of my top students, the one in the Ritual Summon course non-the less, I demand compensation of sort." A business woman with red hair was sitting in the principal's office at Duel Academia glaring at Luna and Leo as she sipped a cup of tea.
Luna was the first to respond. "Look Akaba Himika-san, I wouldn't call what we did stealing a student. He made a wager of his own free will, and transferred to our school as per agreement and did so rather happily I say." Luna took a sip from her cup of tea as she brushed a strand of her hair out of her her face. "If Altager-kun wishes to stay here and not return to L.D.S. there is not much I can do without violating my own code of ethics."
"Then I propose this then." Himika said haughtily. "Let's organize a little competition between our students. This competition will have three rounds. The first being a swiss-type round where the Students will have Ground Duels and not be permitted to use their own decks, but instead a series of preconstructed decks. The Second also being swiss will be Turbo Duel Based and students may use their own decks. And the final will be a best out of four between four students we pick to match each other using their own decks stylized to utilize one form of Special Summon. In the event of a tie the last round, we have a tie-breaker round to decide who wins. If your students win, we leave and never speak of this again and you will get additional funding from our surplus school funds at the end of the fiscal year if they exist. If my students win, Duel Academia and Kaiba Corp become property of the Leo Corporation and we get the three legendary cards you are hiding sealed away on this island."
Luna's eyes darkened as this last part was mentioned, knowing what exactly was going on now there was no way she could say no to this proposal as this wouldn't end here otherwise. She sighted in resignation and closed her eyes. "I agree to your terms. When will this competition start?"
"Tomorrow afternoon."
"So be it."
"And that is what makes this card so incredibly useful and MANLY." A small floating Mokey-Mokey was saying to his class of freshman students wrapping up his lecture on the Spell Card "Utopia Charge Tactics". Professor Mokey was rather shy by nature and did enjoy large groups of people so he tended to teach his classes on Dueling Strategy (and general "MANLINESS") through his avatar a talking Solid Vision hologram of Mokey-Mokey. "Another card to note if using the strategy I am describing here is a very MANLY one called *Ghostrick Spoiled Angel*which when used right in a Hope of Utopia style deck be useful in getting one out of a tight pinch." The class finished taking their notes as the bell rang. "For homework tonight, write a at least one page explaining in your opinion the official ban-list changes in this format and how they affect the game. And for extra credit describe in your own opinion whether or not each change was MANLY. Dismissed."
The class started filing out of the lecture hall slowly as Ruxki started talking with Haruki once again about Professor Mokey's voice. "I don't know why, but every time he opens his mouth I keep expecting to hear Elfman's voice not that squeaky ass one he has."
"Shut up Ruxki," Haruki returned simply. "Face it, just because he is obsessed with manliness doesn't mean he has to sound like Elf man. And for an-what the hell is going on over there?" Haruki cut off his own though as his attention was caught on a promotional poster on the Academy Card Shop about special Promotional Packs of new cards to be given to the first three Duelists to beat a "Boss" duelist in a "Boss Duel". There was already a sizable line outside and it was going rather fast.
"Boss Duels are when a team of one to three people Duel a single Boss Duelist who follows special rules and uses specials cards that are based off a theme." Haruna said simply looking at the poster and observing the quickly moving line. "If one or more people on the challenging team manage to reduce the Boss's Life Points to zero the entire team wins. It appears this Boss is rather tough since I see some third years coming out utterly crushed."
"In that case Haruna-chan," Altager said suddenly appearing and giving Haruna a flirtatious smile. "Maybe you and I should form a tag-team and-"
*THAWCK!*
Haruki stood over Altager a large paper fan in hand. "Stop, just stop it."
Altager just looked Haruki and chuckled. "Isn't that supposed to something a girl does to a guy she likes now?"
"No it's something that is now done to anyone in this damn franchise that makes an ass of themselves."
Ruxki and Haruna look at Haruki confused by his statement. However Ruxki decided to shake his head, ignore the strange comment and move on. "Well I don't think I want in on that, so, I'm going to go bail." And with that he walked off.
Haruki looked over at Haruna. "Haruna-chan, I'm game if you are."
Haruna smiled at Haruki warmly. "Sure but let's take this fool with us, he might prove useful as well," she said pointing at Altager.
"I am mildly offended by that statement my dear." Altager said calmly.
"Deal with, let's get in line and do this." Haruki said.
Half an hour later Haruki, Haruna, and Altager walked away from the Card Shop in high spirits having won; each gaining a Promotional Pack containing five new and as of now unique cards for their hard work. Haruki looked at his happily eager to add them to his newest deck that he had received and was about to ask Haruna and Altager about their cards when the Intercom chimed.
"All students and staff are required to come to the Main Duel Arena for a Special Assembly." Luna's voice said over the speakers. "Details will be given there."
"What do you think this about?" Haruki said to Haruna his former question gone with this new news charging his curiosity.
"I don't know," she said contemplatively as they entered the nearby Main Arena and took seats next to Roxas and Ruxki who were already seated near the ground level.
"Could be anything." Altager chimed in as Luna, Leo, and a smartly dressed business woman entered the Arena's floor. "For all we know Leo and Luna cou-SHIT!"
"What is it?" Roxas said noting the change in Altager's mannerisms.
"That's the chair woman of L.D.S. This is bad, this bad."
"Why?" Ruxki asked.
"Because she is here to try and take over the school that's why."
"I highly doubt that is-" Haruki started before the speakers activated and Luna's voice was heard calling for quiet.
"We have a guest here today," Luna said wearily as if under an unusual amount of stress. "This is the chair woman of both the Leo Corporation and L.D.S. Himika Akaba. And now I'll let her take it from here to explain why she is here." And with that Luna handed the microphone to Himika and sat down next to her brother in a chair that had been placed in the middle of the arena.
Himika smiled. "Hello students of Duel Academia," she greeted them in a falsely cheery voice that sent shivers down Haruki's spine. "As your wonderful and beautiful principal Luna told you I am Himika Akaba of L.D.S. I wish I could say I had a happy reason for coming to your school, but alas I don't." She paused here and took a deep breath before gaining a more brisk business like attitude and continuing on. "I am here because you have both humiliated and stolen one of the best students in the first year from L.D.S., and I want compensation. However, since I have learned that there is a chance that Ryusei Altager has elected to stay here I cannot request nor force his return as it would violate my own code of ethics." She, said the last phrase with a snide grin thrown at Luna. "So instead I am calling out the top four first year students at Duel Academia for a challenge. Ryusei Haruki, Tsubaki Haruna, Nightwalker Ruxki, and Flashblade Roxas!" She called out suddenly as the pictures of the four she named lit up the air behind her. "And Altager-kun you as well." Altager's picture appeared along with the others to everyone's shock. "You five will represent Duel Academia. And your opponent's representing L.D.S. are:" She gives a flourish as four students walk into the arena. One is a girl with dark skin and black hair and red eyes who wore a blue tee-shirt over a creme colored long sleeved shirt that also flowed into shorts and black skin tight shorts. She had a holster styled like a cowboy's from western movies on her waist that apparently held her deck. Another was a wild looking young man carrying a bamboo kendo sword with long spiky brown hair and fierce looking yellow eyes wearing a white vest over a blue shirt and blue pants. The one following behind him was a very sinister looking young man with purple hair and black eyes who wore something almost like a purple and white suit and a black deck holster. The last one had blonde and brown streaked hair and gray eyes, an arrogant look on his face and wore a simple white and red school uniform. and as he passed where Haruki and his group were seated he gave a sinister looking grin to Roxas and joined the others on the stage.
Haruki looked over at Roxas and noted he was unusually tense after this last person walked by but before he was able to ask about it, Himika had resumed speaking. "I give you Kotsu Masumi, Shijima Hokuto, Todo Yaiba, and Sawatari Shingo as the representatives of my school. They are best first year students, so let's get this show on the road now." As she spoke these words, Sawatari Shingo once again looked at Roxas and flashed his sinister grin and cause him to flinch.
