Hey guys. I'm sorry for the long time in between updates. I meant to update last Sunday, but I recieved a call saying that my grandfather had passed away, and, since then, everything has been crazy. But, We buried him yesterday and things should be returning to some kind of semi-normalicy.

Ok, so, this chapter, again (sorry) a few bad words, but I don't use profane language unless the occasion really calls for it, so it's not too bad. And this chapter is kinda short, BUT DON'T WORRY! I will be updating soon, maybe even THIS WEEKEND if I get the chance.

Thank you everyone for being so patient with me and my hectic schedule. It means a lot to me.

Disclaimer: I do not own Hawaii Five-O or any of it charcters, because, if I did, I WOULD PUT OUT A NEW EPISODE! (Gosh, no new episode in two weeks. Their killing me :) )

Ok, enough talking! ENJOY!

Steve watched Danny's eyes roll into the back of his head and panicked. "No no no. Danny! Danno, don't do this to me. Come on buddy, stay with me. Chin! Step on it!"

"We're here," Came Chin's rushed response. Jumping out of the car, he went to the back door and opened it, allowing Steve to step out and pull Danny back into his arms, carrying him straight to the Emergency room entrance. He burst through the glass doors, Danny draped in his arms with his head curled into Seve's shoulder, and Chin trailing behind him.

"Help! Help! I need help!" A bunch of nurses and doctors soon joined him, accompanied by a gurney, which Steve gently lowered Danny down onto.

"What happened to him?" One of the doctors asked.

Steve spoke quickly but clearly, trying to get the information out as rapidly and understandably as possible. "He was kidnapped about five days ago. Most likely tortured and the cuts on his wrists were caused by zip ties. I don't know how long he's ate or drank."

As Steve went down the list, he realized what terrible shape his partner was truly in and a hand of fear managed to wrap itself around his heart. Before he knew it, the doctors and nurses were wheeling Danny back into the ER, meaning that once they passed those doors, he wouldn't be able to see him. He leapt into action, walking quickly beside the gurney as he grabbed Danny's hand. "Danno. Listen. I'll be right here. Waiting. Hang on, ok buddy? Just a little longer. Gracie is going to be so happy to see you." And that's when Danny was taken away, behind those menacing, cold doors that separated the living world from that of the dying . . . or dead.

God. Steve collapsed in the chair nearest to him. Lowering his head into his hands, he could no longer keep the moisture from leaking out of his eyes. I thought he was dead . . . And now he's not . . . But Castroph practically killed him . . . Steve sat up and leaned his head back against the wall, eyes closed as he tried to forget the image of Danny pointing the gun at him, of Danny being so hurt that he could barely walk. He so badly wanted to replace those images with the images of his brother being strong, as he always had, and then realized that he never would get them out of his head. This thought made his hatred for Castroph and what he had done to his partner skyrocket. That bastard's going to pay.

"Family of Daniel Williams?" But Steve had no time to think of that now. His brother needed him.

Steve jumped to his feet, eyes eager despite the weariness in them. "Yes. Doc, how's he doing?" Steve vaguely noted that Chin was behind him, but all his attention was focused on the doctor.

The doctor sighed and rubbed a hand through his hair. "Detective Williams is critical. The unknown substance introduced to him is breaking down in his system, causing some complications. On top of that, he is severely malnourished and dehydrated. All in all, he's incredibly weak. I'm sorry, but at the moment, we are only allowing Commander McGarrett to see him." His last statement was pointed at Chin, who nodded.

Steve nodded too, trying to take it all in. "Thanks, doc." Steve turned away, as the doctor left and headed towards the nurses' station, and looked at Chin who raised a hand, motioning that Steve didn't need to say anything.

"I'm going to go help Kono. Give us a call if anything changes, ok?"

Steve nodded. "Thanks, Chin." They both went their separate ways, Chin heading towards the door and Steve heading towards his brother.

"Commander." Steve took his hand off the doorknob of Danny's room and turned, facing the doctor who had called him. Steve didn't say anything, waiting for the doctor to continue. He knew it would be bad news. Something in his gut told him that. "There's something I wanted to tell you alone, as the detectives emergency contact. The complications I mentioned earlier are more severe than I made them sound. The poisons were not meant to kill, only to weaken, but, due to his further weakened state, there is a chance that they could."

Steve knew what he was saying, but he wanted to hear the words. If something was going to happen to Danny, he needed to know. He couldn't take any more surprises. "Could what, doc?"

"Could kill Danny."

Steve felt his stomach drop out and his heart constrict. We could get him back only to lose him again. "Doc . . . what are his chances? Like, 80/20, in his favor?"

The doctor looked at the distraught partner and considered saying it. Finally, after a pause, he said it. "Commander . . . Detective Williams is looking more at a 50/50 chance."

Steve's heart skipped a beat as his fists clenched at his sides. No. I'm not going to lose him. Not again. "Thanks, doc."

Steve turned his back to the doctor and towards Danny's door. His mind was made up. I'm not losing Danny again. No way. Not again.

OH NO! DANNY! :)
