Chapter Ten: Dragons and Warriors united in battle!
Eddy groaned as he smelled something rank and heavy on him. He opened his eyes to see Jake Long asleep on him, with rank morning breath. Eddy kicked Jake off of him as he stood up to look around and assess the area they're in. From what it looked like, they were in the construction yard for that new addition to the Cul-De-Sac. Eddy soon noticed his Duel Disk on his arm with his deck inside. He turned to see Jake waking up a bit, and saw a Duel Disk on his arm as well. Eddy sighed. Whenever they got a break of some kind, they were always thrown into something new. Jake groaned and walked over to Eddy, and just as he was about to ask where they were, bright lights soon surrounded them.
"Looks like the sleeping beauties woke up from their naps." a squeaky voice stated.
"Who said that?!" Eddy shouted.
Two shadowy figures came into view. They were both in purple clothing that had a H insignia on the center of their masks and shirt. One had pale skin while the other was darker brown skin colored. They each had Duel Disks on that were black and green, shaped like blades.
"#88 and 89?" Jake proclaimed, which made Eddy look confused.
"You know these bozos?" Eddy questioned.
"They're just some nerds who like to hunt magical creatures." Jake proclaimed, with a chuckle.
"Oh man what losers!" Eddy shouted laughing.
"Losers?! Oh yeah? Well you won't be saying that when you see your friends." #88 pressed a button which made a light shine over to a wood chipper, where they saw four people hovering over the chipper part bound by rope. Eddy identified two of them to be Ed and Double D, the other two were people he didn't recognize. One was a female and dark skinned, wearing a light blue jacket and baggy brown pants. The other one was a male, who had on a greenish/grayish knit hat, a blue shirt with a horizontal yellow line on the center of the shirt and at the blue short sleeves, with an orange long sleeve T-shirt underneath and baggy brown pants on.
"Trixie! Spud!" Jake shouted.
"Your friends?" Eddy questioned.
"Yeah. Let's just say they're my version of Ed and Double D." Jake proclaimed.
"Then we'd better save them." Eddy stated.
"You're going to duel with me?" Jake asked.
"Don't get any ideas dragon boy, not only are your friends in danger, but mine as well. I'm just doing it to save my two partners in crime." Eddy explained.
"Alright then, let's waste these chumps." Jake proclaimed as he turned on his duel disk.
"We'll be wasting you and making you cry fo yo mamas!" #88 stated.
"The duel order is simple, first #88, then shorty over-" #89 was interrupted by Eddy.
"DON'T CALL ME LITTLE!" Eddy shouted.
"Whatever. Then me and last is the Dragon." #89 stated, which made Eddy look at Jake in confusion.
"What's that mean?" Eddy asked.
"It's an old dueling name." Jake replied nervously.
"Whatever." Eddy stated.
"Let's Duel!" all four of them shouted in unison.
Eddy: 8000
Jake: 8000
#88: 8000
#89: 8000
"I'll get us off to an electrifying start." #88 proclaimed as he drew his card.
"BOO you suck! And that gave away your deck type." Eddy proclaimed.
"What do you know?" #88 questioned."I summon Thunder King Rai-Oh." A monster with electrodes for arms and legs and two floating rings around it appeared [ATK: 1900/ DEF: 800]. "Now I end my turn. Make your move, spiky."
"Fine masky," Eddy drew his card. "First I place two cards face-down and set a monster face-down in defense mode." Eddy stated as three cards appeared in front of him, one horizontal and two vertical.
"My move, and I'll freeze you guys in your tracks." #89 proclaimed.
"Stop making bad puns, it gives away your decks!" Eddy shouted.
"You just don't know a good joke when you hear it." #89 stated. "I summon, Cold Enchanter in attack mode!" A woman holding a staff with a snowflake on it appeared on the opposing side of the field [ATK: 1600/ DEF: 1200]. "I end my turn with a card face-down." A card appeared behind his Enchanter.
"My move," Jake drew his card. "I summon Koumori Dragon in Attack Mode." A purple dragon with red and purple wings appeared on Jake's side of the field [ATK: 1500/ DEF: 1200]. "I end my turn with two cards face-down." Two cards appeared behind his dragon.
"My move! Get ready porcupine cause I'm going to hurt you so bad you'll be begging for your momma." #88 stated, as he drew his card. "I summon Thunder Knight in attack mode!" A man with a black cape with thunder bolts on it appeared [ATK: 1300/ DEF: 1200]. "And this card has a nifty ability, it gains 400 attack points for each Thunder-Type Monster on the field, including itself." [ATK: 2100]. "Now, Thunder Knight, destroy his face-down, monster." Thunder Knight launched a thunder bolt at Eddy's face-down monster, revealing it to be a pink bird in red running shoes.[ATK: 300/ DEF: 300] "You chose that little thing to protect you?" #88 laughed at it, making the monster glare.
"You shouldn't laugh at this birdy." Eddy stated ominously.
"Whatever, it's fried now." #88 stated as it got struck by the lightning bolt, causing smoke to appear around Eddy's field. When the smoke cleared, Sonic Chick was still on the field. "How is your monster still alive?"
"Sonic Chick can't be destroyed by monsters who have at least 1900 ATK points or more." Eddy grinned. "I may not like birds, but this chick is okay with me."
"I end my turn." #88 growled.
"My move." Eddy grinned. "First, I activate my face-down card, Cost Down." His face-down card flipped up to show a monster card's stars getting stabbed by two swords. "Now I can summon a monster easier by discarding one card, and I sacrifice my Sonic Chick to Summon Buster Blader!" A purple armored warrior appeared on Eddy's field [ATK: 2600/ DEF: 2100]. "And thanks to Jakey boy over here, he gets a 500 ATK boost." [ATK: 3100] "Now, I equip him with my other face-down, Lightning Blade, giving him 800 attack points!" Eddy stated as a Buster Blader's blade began to shoot sparks [ATK: 3900]. "Now, Buster, destroy Cold Enchanter! And thanks to Lightning Blade, all WATER monsters lose 500 ATK points."
"Oh man." #89 griped as his monster was destroy by Buster Blader slashing through it.

"Dang, that was nothing." #89 growled.
"I end my turn by placing two cards face-down on the field." Eddy stated as two cards appeared behind his warrior.
"My move." #89 growled. "First, I activate my trap card Call of the Haunted, bringing back my Cold Enchanter!" His monster appeared once more. "Now, I summon, Blizzard Lizard!" A blue furry lizard appeared [ATK: 600/DEF: 1800]. "Next I activate Star Changer! So I change Blizzard's level into a level 4." [Stars: 4]. "Now I overlay Blizzard and Enchanter, to XYZ summon, Snowdust Giant!" A giant colossus ice monster appeared, with two little gold lights orbiting it. [Rank: 4/ATk: 2200/ DEF: 800]. "Finally, I activate Cold Wave, making all the spell and trap cards on the field useless."
'Damn it!' Jake and Eddy thought as they looked at their two face-down cards which were now encased in ice.
"Now my Giant, attack Koumori Dragon!" The ice giant did so and smashed Jake's dragon into dust.
Jake: 7300
"I end my turn. Now make your move Dragon boy." #89 smirked.
"My move then." Jake drew a card. "I place a monster face-down in defense mode and end my turn." A vertical card appeared in front of Jake.
"My move." #88 grinned. "First, I summon Star Seraph Sword!" A weird four pointed spider bot-like creature appeared. [ATK: 1400/ DEF: 1000]. "Now, I overlay my three monsters, to XYZ summon Number 102: Star Seraph Sentry!" A golden man with a bow and arrow, and the number 102 on his right wing appeared [Rank: 4/ ATK: 2500/ DEF: 2000]. "Now, I use Overlay Unit to halve your monster's attack and negate its effect. I choose your Buster Blader!" [Overlay Units: 2] Star Seraph launched an arrow at Buster Blader [ATK: 1700.] "Now, my awesome monster, destroy his Buster Blader!" Star Seraph launched another arrow at Buster Blader.
Eddy: 7200
"I end my turn. Make your move Shorty." #88 stated.
"My move." Eddy drew his card. "First, I place my monster face-down in defense mode." A sideways card appeared in front of him. "I end my turn with another face-down." Eddy proclaimed as a card appeared next to the other two.
"My move." #89 drew his card. "Now, my Snowdust Giant, attack Eddy's face-down card!" The giant swung his club at the face-down monster, only for it to bounce back and hit #89.
#89: 4800
"What? But there's no monster's in your deck strong enough to battle it!" #89 shouted.
"My monster can't battle," Eddy stated as his monster was revealed to be Big Shield Gardna [ATK: 100/ DEF: 2600]. "But he's big on defense, only draw back is, once he's attacked he switches positions." Big Shield Gardna stood up.
"I end my turn. Make your move, Dragon." #89 stated.
Jake drew his card, and grinned. "First, I flip summon my Baby Dragon." A small, orange dragon appeared [ATK: 1200/ DEF: 700]. "Next, Eddy may I borrow your Big Shield Gardna?"
"If you're doing what I think your doing, yes." Eddy smirked.
"Next I summon The White Stone of Legend," A white stone appeared on Jake's field [ATK: 300/ DEF: 250]. "Now, add all of the monster's levels together and what do you get?" Jake questioned. [Gardna: LV4, Baby Dragon: LV3, Legend: LV1]
"Big deal, so you have a bunch of weak monsters." #89 stated.
"Yeah, but I can Synchro Summon!" Jake stated as the white stone turned into a large green ring. "I tune my White Egg, with my Baby Dragon and Eddy's Big Shield Gardna, to Synchro Summon Red Dragon Archfiend!" A red and black dragon appeared [ATK: 3000/ DEF: 2000]. "Now, Archfiend, Destroy his Snowdust Giant!" The Red Dragon blasted at the giant with its fire breath, melting it instantly.

"My Giant!" #89 shouted.
"I end my turn." Jake smirked.
"My move. Prepare to be defeated, Sonic the Hedgehog," #88 chuckled, only to be interrupted by Eddy.
"Wow, like I haven't heard that one before." Eddy stated.
"You have no monsters on the field thanks to your dragon friend." #88 proclaimed. "Now, Sentry, attack the porcupine directly!"
"I activate my Quick-Play Spell, Roulette Spider!" Eddy stated as his face-down card shot a spider with a checkered body and an arrow on its butt at Star Seraph Sentry, latching onto its face. This caused a spider web to appear underneath Star Sentry. "Now, Roulette Spider, go!" Eddy shouted causing the arrow on its butt to move up to its back and causing the number monster to spin. "Now thanks to that little bugger on Star's face, he can attack anyone: you, me, Jake, the other guy or Jake's Archfiend. The trick is to get lucky and hope it lands on me. Then again, it could cause you to become very unlucky and land on you or your friend. Only you can stop it."
"Grr! Stop!" The Star Sentry slowed down at #88's command, and it landed on #89. It launched a barrage of arrows at his master's comrade.

"What the heck man?!" #89 shouted at #88.
"How was I suppose to know he had a Roulette Spider card?!" #88 shouted back. "I end my turn, by setting a monster face-down."
"Man these guys are losers." Eddy drew his card. "First. I activate Brain Control to take your Number monster away." Eddy stated as his face-down card flipped up to reveal a brain with arms coming out of it. Number 102 disappeared and reappeared on Eddy's side of the field.
Eddy: 6400
"Now, I activate Super Polymerization to fuse your stolen Number 102, with your face-down monster." The center of the floor opened and two hands came out; one grabbed the Number monster, and the other grabbed the face down monster on #88's field. "Now I Super Fusion summon Dark Paladin!" A man in green armor wielding a staff that had a blade at the top of it came out of the hole and floated to Eddy's side of the field [ATK: 2900/ DEF: 2400]. "Like my monster from before, he can use a dragon's power to gain a 500 power boost for each dragon on the field and in the grave." [ATK: 5400].
"Wait a sec, Jake only used four dragons! So Paladin's attack points should only be 4900." #88 stated.
"Did you think my Graveyard was dragon free?" Eddy questioned. "Red Eyes Black Dragon is in the grave, thanks to my Cost Down Spell. Now let's make you a number 0." Eddy smirked as Dark Paladin launched a white orb straight at #88. #88 was thrown back as the blast impacted his chest.

"Don't worry, I'll handle these fools." #89 stated. "Now end your turn sucka."
"I end my turn with two cards face-down." Eddy smirked.
"My move!" #89 smirked. "I activate Monster Reborn to bring back Eddy's Buster Blader!" A circle with strange archaic symbols in it appeared on #89's field and out came Eddy's own warrior. "And since you both have a total of five dragons in your grave and field, my monster has a total of 5100." [ATK: 5100]. "Now, my monster attack Red Dragon!" Buster Blader charged at Red Dragon Archfiend, only to be blocked by Eddy's Paladin, who slashed straight through Buster Blader while Red Dragon destroyed it. "What but-" #89 turned to see Eddy whose face-down was shown to be Covering Fire.
"Thanks to Covering Fire, I can add my monster's attack to Jakey boy's attack." Eddy smirked.
"What?!" #89 shouted.
"Now, Paladin, Red Dragon Archfiend," Eddy and Jake stated in unison.
"Spirit Blast!" Eddy shouted.
"Burst Breath!" Jake shouted.
Both of their monsters launched an attack at #89 causing him to scream in pain.
#89: 0
"Hey, how come their bodies aren't fading?" Eddy questioned.
"Well, we are with the Dark Duelists, but they didn't give us those cool dark powers." #88 stated.
"Losers even the darkness doesn't want." Eddy proclaimed.
"Oh yeah, well who're the losers now?!" #89 shouted as he pulled a detonator switch and flipped it. This caused a small explosion to sever the rope tied to Jake and Eddy's friends, sending them into the shredder.
"Dragon up!" Jake shouted as blue flames surrounded him. A long red dragon with the same hairdo as Jake was in his place. He flew at the tied up four, saving them from the wood chipper. Unfortunately this gave the two wannabe bad guys a distraction to escape. Eddy was frozen in shock at the fact Jake just grew wings, scales, and a tail.
"Jake, you're a dragon?!" Eddy shouted as Jake lifted their friends over to him.
"Yeah, it's a family secret." Jake stated as he cut the rope binding his friends.
"What kind of family secret?" Eddy questioned.
"The kind that's beyond weird. I protect magical creatures." Jake explained.
"So they do exist? Then I guess those guys are just dorks." Eddy stated.
"Yeah, they used to be apart of a clan that hunts down magical creatures and kills them for sport." Jake continued. "They were soon defeated when someone used a magic wish to exterminate them from existence."
"Wait? You just said those guys were a part of the clan. If they were exterminated then, why did tweedle dee and tweedle dumber survive?" Eddy asked.
"Well, they kinda said they quit the Huntsclan, and I don't think they were born Huntsman." Jake stated.
"Ok, Jake you've got to tell the others about this!" Eddy stated.
"It's bad enough you know, I'm not telling the others. Lilo's the only other one who knows about this." Jake replied.
"So do your friends know?" Eddy pointed to Trixie and Spud.
"Yes..." Jake replied hesitantly.
"Then what's the difference between us knowing and these two knowing?" Eddy questioned.
"Fine, I'll tell them on Monday." Jake stated.
"I'll hold you to that you know. In the mean time, your friends sleep in the closet." Eddy proclaimed.
Here's Chapter 10. I know this took a long time to make, but be glad it was worth it. I added XYZs, Synchros, and Fusion monsters in this chapter. Hope for an awesome Chapter next time
