Wish Come True

Chapter Summary: Someone pays Allen a visit…

AN: Sorry it's been a while! I hope you enjoy this chapter, I have just a few more to go. I'm gunning for no more hiatuses but life is unpredictable and I'm making no promises. Any who, I suggest rereading some since it's been awhile. Also people should take notice of the times because this chapter jumps back a lot, note the non-italic parts are present time. One more thing that I should've mentioned is that this story does not follow the same timeline as the manga or the anime, I know I am breaking the story but this is my story and my story follows a different path. Enjoy!

PearlesantlRose; Thanks :-D I try!

OhMyFudgeCookies; Hehe, Santa-sama, you made my day with that! I'm very sorry I couldn't update 5 times before Christmas- non-the-less even once. But your review made me try, I was busy with family stuff and couldn't do it in the end sadly. But all the same thank you so much for the review!

Twilightserius; Good question, sorry I never explained it. The innocence went inside Allen to create a temporary uterus (it'll last for 9 months) but it only influenced his and Kanda's heads for the one night in Lyon, that's why they had no memory of it when it was being figured out by Komui. The Yullen now is all real!

Ern Estine 13624; Thanks for your review!

Anoko. Seiran; you're too awesome. That comment made me smile eye to eye!

XavierForest; It took me some time to get over the weirdness factor of this too. But it's okay now, though when it is written as a completely normal thing I think it is a little odd lol. Thank you for reviewing.

Nicole13-1991; Sorry my "soon" wasn't all that "soon"! Thanks you for the review!

Love yah~

Chapter 10: Cross

~Komui~

7th Month- Black Order, Komui's Office, 4:14pm

It had been a tough month. Not only had he still not shown up three weeks after he said would but Komui was getting scared. The Noah were extremely active, no exorcist had a full night's rest anymore. Allen too… His young male body was struggling to adapt to the youngins he was carrying, they kept his body so very weak. Permanent bed rest would soon be the only option left for Allen's last couple months.

Kanda of course was a 24/7 servant for him, a necessary one too. Allen needed him. But because of the noah and akuma, threats came daily to humanities safety. It had been more than once that Komui had been on the verge of dispatching Kanda on a mission. A different, non-exorcist, staff member could watch over Allen- Johnny would, without a doubt, be more than happy too. Komui had considered it a few times, he even called Johnny to his office once to ask him but had stopped himself before he said anything the scientist. He couldn't do it. He made a promise to Allen. Kanda was not to leave Allen's side.

Plus Kanda would be pissed if he was taken from Allen and Allen- though he liked Johnny a lot- would be heartbroken, and in the end that would only cause danger to the babies.

*Knock Knock Knock*

"Come in." Komui told his door without a second thought. But when a smirk of distaste welcomed Komui, he looked at the man in shock,

"You better have a damn good reason for making me come here Komui." The man said in greeting,

"You have my word," Komui smiled to the red-haired man he hadn't seen in years,

"It's good to see you haven't changed Marian Cross."

Flashback ~ Black Order, Komui's Office, 10:13am (one month ago)

*Bringgg~~*

Komui looked at his telephone's caller ID and smiled upon quickly picking it up,

"It's nice to hear from you. I only left you a message for you to call me back last week." He skipped the greeting, knowing it had no use with his old friend.

"Do I detect sarcasm Komui?" Cross Marian grumbled back through the phone.

"Do you really care if that was sarcasm or not?" Komui responded but briefly stopped to hear a grumpy question,

"Enough chit-chat. What is this emergency? I except the world is in a dire situation because I remember telling the order not to bother me with non-sense akuma shit again."

"I wasn't going to, but something happened a few months ago-"

"So what I am hearing is that something happened fucking forever ago but somehow is a problem only now. You better be fucking kidding me, why should I care about the order? I hate that place."

"I understand. That's why I didn't call beforehand but the incident has caused another-" Komui sighed, he was getting annoyed at these interruptions.

"Get on with it. I'm guessing it's the damn Noah?"

"Yes it involves them."

"I don't give a damn." Cross uttered, annoyed, and Komui could tell he was on the verge of hanging up… Komui could see him, liquor in hand, waving to girl to come over and continue the fun. He shook his head and started again, more urgently.

"I wouldn't call you if it weren't serious-"

"Then call someone else for god's sake!"

"I know, but I need you here."

"Again, why should I care?"

This wasn't working, Komui was forced to use Plan B, and in the end he probably should have started with it.

"Goddammit; Allen's life is in danger!" Komui interrupted this time,

Silence.

"…Will I see you soon?"

"That goddamn idiot…" Komui heard faintly on the receiver,

A 'Yes' and a 'give me a week' was the answer that followed on other line, with a beep to signal the call being disconnected. Komui smiled again but it fell once he looked down at Tiedoll's report. He read the words, "He told me they want him" for the hundredth time and closed the folder.

End of Flashback ~

"Why would the Noah be after my idiot apprentice?"

"So you do have a heart?" Komui mocked in pseudo-surprise, Cross only answered with a harsh glare.

"What is the fucking tragic story that you need me for?"

Komui sighed and motioned to the sofa in front of his desk.

"Sit, it's a long one."

~Allen~

Black Order, Bathing Quarter, 5:04pm

"Don't ignore me Moyashi… I was only trying to help."

"I can bathe myself thanks."

Allen argued back as he exited the changing room. He walked around the large bath in the steam filled room. His left hand was protectively holding his extended belly and his right arm was outstretched and waving beside him to help keep his balance as he waddled toward the door. Kanda stood close beside him, wanting to wait out Allen's moment till his anger drifted and he would accept Kanda's helping hand.

"What would you like me to have done? Wait outside while thoughts of you slipping and falling run in my head?" Allen turned to face his lover sharply.

"You could trust me when I say I'm fine, I'm not a kid last time I checked. I don't need a guardian."

"I'm pretty sure 16 is no adult either." Allen stood watching him; the steam in the room started dissolving. Allen only continued to stare at Kanda in response, not liking his answer.

"I never said you can't, but it's not just you, you're carrying our children. Don't be angry with me for wanting to protect the four most precious beings to me!" Kanda began shouting as Allen stared dumbfoundingly at him,

"All I'm saying is that I can take care of myself." Kanda could hear the anger beginning to fade in Allen's soft voice.

"And all I'm saying Moyashi," he said calmly, "Is I want you to let me help you. Even if you don't need it… Please, I can't just watch you waddle and huff and puff from the weight of OUR children and do nothing!"

Allen looked at his growing abdomen, rubbed it with his left hand and then let it drop beside himself before taking a step to close the distance between himself and the blue-haired samurai. Allen wrapped his left arm around Kanda's right arm, pinched the long sleeved black shirt and leaned some weight onto him before moving towards the door and whispering,

"Let's go, the steam is making me dizzy and I'm hungry."

Black Order, Hallway outside the Cafeteria, 5:13pm

Allen could smell the food from Jerry's home-made dinners for everyone after they turned the corner and it made him salivate, but upon seeing a red-haired man carrying a just-as-red bottle of wine exit the two wide stone doors that lend into the cafeteria he froze.

Kanda abruptly stopped when he felt a tug on his arm, he turned to Allen who stood wide eyed before letting Kanda's arm fall and turning to walk in the opposite direction.

"Where are-"

"I'm actually not that hungry, let's eat later."

"Allen is-"

Upon his words Kanda saw the red-haired man turn to him, he smirked,

"It's been awhile," The man said making Allen still once again, "my idiot apprentice."

~Kanda~

'What? Apprentice? Who is this? And why is Allen so scared?' As questions stormed his head he walked next to Allen and placed his hand around the white-haired boy's only to feel he was shaking.

"Moyashi?" Kanda whispered quietly as so the man still looking at Allen's back couldn't hear. He heard Allen mumble 'Cross' before closing his eyes, 'Where have I heard that name before?' It was another minute until the man spoke his next words,

"I hear you have gotten fat."

Kanda's eyes widened as did Allen's,

"You know? Who told you? Komui? Why?" It appeared to Kanda that his little lover had just as many questions as he did.

"That's your greeting for me?" The man- Cross- sighed, "Since when has my apprentice gotten so rude?" 'Apprentice? Cross?'

Kanda's temper was like a fuse and every word that came out of this man's mouth only ignited the slow-burning flame faster.

"Answer him dammit!" Kanda barked feeling both uneasy and protective.

"It's nice to meet you too… Let's see, you must be the young man who knocked up my idiot apprentice. Yuu Kanda is it?"

Kanda didn't know what to say, only that the light on the fuse was getting larger.

"F*** you. Who are you anyway?!"

"Bakanda!" Allen shouted, was Allen on this man's side? Allen's trembling had seized and beside Kanda he began to turn towards the man Kanda was facing. No surprise littered the man face upon seeing Allen's extended belly. Even buried under Kanda's old and over-sized black button-up did little to hide the expanded abdomen. Though the man stated he knew Allen's condition, Kanda couldn't believe the man showed no care. But just as he thought that the man glanced at Allen's full stomach and smirked.

"Wow, so Komui wasn't kidding. You look like you just ate a whale boy."

Unfazed Allen spoke up,

"What are you doing here Master Cross?"

"I'm assuming to see you won't cut it-"

"Wow! So apparently the liquor didn't kill all your brain cells!?" The Moyashi cut in with a blank expression.

'This is the master cross who took him in? What'd he do to get on Allen's bad side?' Kanda side to himself worriedly. Knowing his Allen enough to know that he wouldn't be so cold to someone without a damn good reason.

"Allen-" Cross whispered but broke off and instead only responded with an annoyed grunt. He walked up to the duo and was about to pass them when he lifted an arm to Allen's shoulder.

"I'll be seeing you around." With that and a quick squeeze, Cross's dropped his arm and turned to leave.

Kanda turned to look at his lover who stood silently beside him caressing his belly. Allen's face was down to watch his hands movements and his soft white hair draped his silver eyes. 'Is he crying?'

"Moyashi..." Allen's hands abruptly stopped. He moved to grab Kanda's arm for support before glancing up at him.

"Let's get food now, okay?" Allen asked with a gently smile.

"OK." Kanda answered, he was confused but in time he knew he'd get his answers.

~Cross~

Flashback ~ Black Order, Komui's Office, 4:16pm

Cross took it upon himself to get comfy in the velvet sofa. Komui waited for him before starting.

"It happened seven months ago, Yuu Kanda, my sister- Lenalee- and Allen were sent on a mission in Lyon, France, to retrieve an-"

Cross raised a hand in motion to stop the other, "Can we avoid pointless details?"

Komui looked at his impatient old friend, "I'm afraid not, the backstory is important and cannot be skipped-"

"How does a stupid mission explain why the Noah are after the idiot?!"

"This stupid mission as you so-called it ties everything. Cross you need to hear this now because what I need to tell you won't make sense otherwise."

"Tell me."

"What?" Komui ushered exasperated,

"What did he do to piss off the Noah? I'll be the judge to say if the long-tragic-story is necessary."

Komui hesitated, thinking about how he should approach Cross. He should've known Cross wouldn't make things easy.

"He's pregnant."

"Who? What? Speak in words that make sense you damn scientist"

"Listen to the long-tragic-story then!"

Cross only grunted in response.

End of Flashback ~

~Allen~

Black Order, Cafeteria, 5:39pm

He dived into the dishes the second Kanda arrived at the table. The cafeteria like the rest of the order was deserted. For reasons Allen did not know everyone was working 24/7. Every exorcist on a mission, every finder with an exorcist or looking for the next spot to send one, every scientist was in the lab, even the higher-ups seemed to be really attached to their offices.

Allen wanted to voice this to Kanda, but he wouldn't. Allen wasn't clueless, he knew. Nobody had to tell him. The Noah wanted him and probably the babies. Dead or alive he didn't know that much but he knew it was serious. That's the only way Cross would step foot in the order. He knew about the dangers but for some odd reason he didn't care. Maybe it's better not knowing.

Flashback ~ Black Order, Komui's Office, 4:49pm

"I don't buy it" Cross huffed at the end, actually not interrupting for once.

"Take or leave it, it is the truth, and if you care at all for Allen you'll take it."

"I don't have the power to stop them. If what the Noah think is true that means the 14th will finally be gone. That is if all four live for the delivery… and if the Noah gene did separate into the fetuses. It's too much. How do we know the gene was separated? What if it's still in Allen? Or it only attached to one of the fetuses. Fuck this. Why am I trying to understand this?"

"All you need to know is that the Noah gene has glued to the babies, but if those babies are born successfully the gene will die from being cut in three. But if the Noah succeed and kill the unborn babies the gene will reattach back onto Allen."

"No, don't go bullshitting me. I've known and accepted Allen to be the 14th a long time ago. I made a promise. If you are wrong so much could happen and Allen could be in even more shit. That boy can't handle anymore and I am not giving him false hope." Cross told Komui,

"Trust me. You don't need to understand it, all you need to do is protect Allen and the babies when the Noah come. Keep in mind they want him alive but nothing will stop them."

"And?"

"That's it." Komui answered with a smile, Cross didn't hear any sarcasm.

"'That's it' fuck you." Cross deadpanned with a huff.

"Will you help me?"

"Does the boy know?" Cross stood, he didn't need to answer, Komui already knew Cross's answer. And Cross knew Komui's before he answered.

"No we haven't told him and aren't ever planning to tell him."

"You do know my idiot apprentice is far from an actual idiot. You should reconsider that answer. But don't worry my lips are sealed."

Cross grinned before walking off.

End of Flashback ~

~Kanda~

Black Order, Cafeteria, 6:06pm

It took everything Kanda had to not raid questions about his lover's mysterious and possibly evil master. But couldn't stop it. The usually quiet vibe the two had was extra quiet during tonight's supper. Kanda was never very talkative and even how close him and Allen were nothing had changed much in the verbal department. But when Allen spoke and seemed to want an answer Kanda almost always gave it to him and the fact that tonight he was not drew Allen mad. Kanda knew it but he couldn't help it. So when the munching from dinner ceased Kanda knew he couldn't keep the silence any longer.

"Did he... hurt you?" Kanda said starting out strong but fluttering into a whisper by the end. Kanda stared at his empty bowl cowardly, scared to see Allen's expression.

"Is this why you've been so quiet? You think he raped me?" Kanda looked up taken back, Allen said that so nonchalantly. His voice, words, and expression give no real answer and it scared Kanda. He felt both uneasy and protective which was new for him. He didn't like it.

"Answer me, did he? Do I have to kill that son-of-a-bitch?"

Allen understood the rage behind the foul language and though he didn't appreciate it, he didn't comment on it.

Allen ungracefully threw his leg over the bench and scooted closer to his lover. He put two hands on Kanda's shoulders to turn him, they sat eye to eye. Allen sighed,

"He never hurt nor touched me," and before Kanda could reply Allen continued,

"My master- Cross- was the one who raised me after Mana died and before I came here. He taught me to be an exorcist and I have a debt to repay him for that but he is a selfish drunk who never gave pity even when it was called for. He did some awful tings and in-tow made me help him do those things. He made me experience some terrible things. Though in the end I am grateful for that. He made me strong, I would not be here today without him. I hate him, but I also have a filial love for him. Horrible as he may be I hope you can understand him. Everything he does is for a reason, though sometimes that reason is bogus and most of the time insanely stupid."

Kanda stared a his lover for a moment, he couldn't form any words. Allen waited for a minute before giving up, expecting no answer.

He dropped his hands from Kanda's shoulders and placed them atop his belly. Feeling little kicks prod his palm.

Kanda shocked the boy when he placed his warm hands on the small pale ones. He held the fragile hands a moment before 'che'ing.

"He sounds stupid, I don't like him." Kanda glanced up from his caressing hands to silver eyes.

"But if you trust him I will too."

Kanda wanted to add more. Ask him about this man- Allen's so-called master. But he knew better. He knew Allen found this topic uncomfortable. Instead he stood up and stepped over the bench. He walked beside the boy and extended his hands to him.

"Come on. Let's go to the dorm, it's early but I know you are on the verge of falling asleep, and I am not letting you faint on me."

Allen smiled and grabbed the helping hands,

"You know I love you right?" Allen asked,

"I know, and I love you."

Black Order, Un-owed Dorm Room, 9:33pm

In the moonlight Cross took a sip of the last few drops of wine. The now empty bottle was tossed and shattered into the opposite wall. The man leaned back, closed his eyes and whispered to himself,

'I'll make sure you see your family. The one who you will love you like a family should. This time I'll make you get your wish. You won't understand what you missed, because for you family is Mana and maybe me but the truth is family, that love, is so much better.'
