The end of August was drawing closer, only a week and a half away.

Hinata and Gaara were sitting on the deck, everyone else on the san or swimming in the always cold water. They were giving them some alone time, the couple knew, but they wouldn't leave them entirely alone either.

They sat quietly, listening to their friends scream and laugh. Even though she was trying to hide it, Gaara knew that Hinata was on edge, even a little terrified. The way she leaned hesitantly into him, to even the slightest movement in her lavender eyes, he knew that she was being tortured. And he knew who the cause behind it was.

Before he could force words out of his mouth, Hinata stood, holding out a hand.

"Let's go for a swim. I'm sweating bullets." Her smile was painful.

Keeping the words in, he stripped his shirt and took her hand. When they made it down the stairs, he let go, picked her up and threw the surprised bluenette over his shoulder.

"Gaara! P-put me down!" she started to smack his back, laughing.

"You didn't say how we would be getting to the water." Grinning, he quickly walked to the shore, dodging the weak attempts of tackling made by Sakura, Tenten and Lee.

"Sorry, Hinata!" Tenten sat next to Sakura, both laughing as they watched Lee land face-first into the sand.

"You all suck at this!"

"Love you too, Hinata!" Temari, Kankuro, Naruto and Sasuke called, the first three waving as the raven-haired boy chuckled to himself.

When Gaara made it to the water's edge with his cargo, everyone behind them charged by, sending up sand and water in every direction. Setting the still punching bluenette down, Gaara ran with them, until the overly excited blonds—Naruto and Temari—tackled him into deeper water.

"You're welcome!" Temari called back to Hinata, who was bent over laughing.

It took Hinta a moment to call back, "Thank you!"

"I feel unloved!" Naruto sat in the water, pouting furiously.

Unexpectedly, Gaara surfaced behind the pouting blond, picked him up, and threw him farther into the cold depths. Quickly retaliating, Naruto grabbed the redhead's arm while midair, and pulled him along for the ride. The two created a giant splash, even managing to hit Hinata with a few drops.

Running out, Hinata watched the water anxiously, her heart beating madly in her chest, mind racing. Everyone held their breath as they waited for the brawling guys to surface. Eventually they… about fifty feet away from where they landed, and still trying to outsmart the other.

"Damn it, those guys are gonna get it when they come back…" Temari started to grumble to herself. Grabbing Hinata's hand, the aggravated blond started to make her way out to where the childish young men where now weakly splashing at each other. Temari started to exaggerate her steps, kicking up more water than need be.

"Hey, Tem!" Gaara was grinning cheekily at his sister.

"Hey yourself, idiot. You almost gave us heart attacks!"

Still grinning, the redhead swam up to Hinata, wrapping his arms around her waist. He pulled her down, so only her head and shoulders were above water. Their eyes locked, sea foam met lavender, the first smiling, the later worried and cautious.

"Stop turning my girlfriend against me, Tem. I don't like seeing her like this." He didn't turn to face his sister.

"I'm not!"

"You are."

"She isn't, Gaara." She kissed his nose, instantly calming him down.

"See? She still loves you!"Hinata could hear the grin in Temari's voice.

"Shut up, Tem. You guys can head back; we'll follow in a minute." Gaara pulled Hinata closer, his hand lightly brushing her inner thigh.

"Oh, fine Jeez… come on, blondie. Let's go back to the people who appreciate our concern and love." Grabbing Naruto's hand, the two of them ran/swam/fell their way back to the others, who were slowly paddling around the shore line.

"Hmm. Finally." Hinata felt Gaara's lips are they slowly travelled from her jaw down to her collarbone, his one hand pressing gently against her back, the other lingering between her legs, tracing the edge of her bikini.

Despite the cold water, shivers of heat ran down Hinata's spine… and ended right between her legs. Wrapping her arms around the redhead's neck, she nudged his cheek with her nose, asking him to look at her. Turning his face slightly, their lips touched briefly before one of his fingers slipped under her bikini, sliding slowly across her clit.

She gasped. "Gaara…"

"Hmm?" his lips touched hers again, the kiss only broken by yet another slow caress, sending the shivers running again.

Pulling at the strings of her tormentor's swim trunks, HInata managed to force the shorts to the redhead's knees, fully exposing his aroused member. A heavy blush coloured her face, the fire between her legs growing so hot it was almost unbearable.

Not embarrassed in the slightest, Gaara moved closer, his lips gently pressing against the fine curve of Hinata's breasts as he slowly tugged at the thin strip of fabric that stood between them. Biting her lip sharply, the bluenette stifled a groan as the bikini somehow slipped off her body and ended up tied to Gaara's shorts, which were now down at his ankles.

They sat quietly for a few minutes, his hands slowly caressing her sweet spots, making the fire burn hotter. As a finger slid farther than the others, finding the sweet fire, a low moan came from her throat, making the hairs on Gaara's neck stand on end.

"Gaara… please, not here…" her voice was weak, breathless.

"Then where, Hinata?" she felt his teeth tug at her skin. "We'll be separated for who knows how long, and I'm not… I don't want to force you into a corner until it happens, but I want to know when atleast…" he placed his forehead against hers. "Please, Hinata, I'm begging."

"I… don't know…" closing her eyes, Hinata tried to push away the thought of never seeing Gaara every day, never seeing the wind tug at his fiery red hair, the gentle smile that reached his sea foam eyes every time they were together… Hinata couldn't bear to miss out on any more of him; she didn't want to leave him… or he leave her.

Getting the message, Gaara fixed his shorts and pulled Hinata's bikini back to where it was before, and gently pulled the flustered bluenette closer to him, burying his face into her hair.

"It's ok, HInata… I'm sorry I said all of that. If it's for you, then I can wait. I'll wait forever, as long as you're still mind and you still love me, I'll wait forever.

The next day, Tenten was running down to the store: both Ino and herself were under Mother Nature's control, which wasn't any fun for anyone in the cottage.

"Damn you, Hinata! It was your turn…" the brunette mumbled to herself as the store came into sight. Of course, with so little time left, she would be with Gaara every day until they had to separate…. She couldn't really blame the girl for wanting more time than they were given, so her mumblings were only half-upset.

Turning the final corner, she was grabbed by the waist and dragged into the nearby cluster of trees. Before she knew it, she was gagged and forced roughly against a tree, her eyes wide with terror. Her captor's face was suddenly right next to hers, his hot breath landing on her ear as he spoke.

"I want you to deliver a message for me. By the time all this is over, you'll understand who it's for." The gag was pulled tighter, forcing a small whimper out of the terrified girl.

Before she could take a good look, she felt a sharp and painful jab in her stomach, forcing her vision to blur until everything went black.

A/N: DUNDUNDAAHHHHH Yeah this is what I have been working on for about a year now DX it's all I got! Well I do have some left for you guys, but that will come at another day. Sorry that this chapter is complete crap and the almost sex is really terrible but I tried ok ;3;
