WHAT? I KEPT MY WORD?!

I guess I did. Don't worry if you're shocked because I shocked myself too.

Anyway, thank you to the reviews and followers and favoriters I received for the last chapter! Thank you for even reading it! (Yes, I checked how much views the last chapter got. I just found out you could do that and... I was curious.)

So, this didn't turn out how I wanted it to be, but that's okay I guess. I was originally going to write 'Impressions' for I. It was going to be a continuation of H and Beck was going to be embarrassing Cat at the mall in front of a huge crowd this time with her underwear and end in him saying, "I'm not making a great impression on you, am I?" But since someone *cough* *cough* ExodusofDreams *cough* *cough* *cough* opened my mind to ideas,(great ones in fact; I'm so excited to start writing it) it's going to become an actual story. A (pardon the pun) cat chases mouse story if you wanted to know. Which you probably don't, lol.

Well, sorry for the long pointless author's note. Hopefully it didn't change your mind about reading the chapter. ( :

I is for Irresistible!

Word Count: 553

Dedications: To beckandcatforever for suggesting this a long while back. (; Sorry if this isn't what you had expected it to be because it certainly isn't what I expected it to be. Laughing but very serious. c:

Summary: No matter how much you tried. It was inevitable, wasn't it? Falling for a guy like that.

Disclaimer: Now that I for sure know the meaning to that word, I can't stop using it. Inevitable. Haha, I always figured it meant what it means, but I was never 105% sure. I was really hesitant when writing this. Like, should it be in 2nd person or 3rd? 1st is always a no, no for me. Hopefully this didn't come out as angsty? Welp, I own nada. Obviously.

She always promised herself that she'd never fall for a best friend.

Whether it was a boy or girl—because, to her, you never really could know why, when, where, and who your heart could fall upon—it didn't matter. Friends were hands off.

Especially when they belonged to another friend.

Putting yourself in that kind of situation only brought upon heartache, confusion, broken friendships, pointless arguments, tense stares, and overall a huge headache that would not away. She knew that better than anyone.

Then she went to high school and met a boy who clouded her judgement, made her warm inside, and just the sight of him made her smile. But her best friend sunk her claws into him before she even had the chance to learn his name.

Her friend introduced her to him and the petite girl immediately jumped five hundred steps away shoving any thoughts that told her there was a chance she could develop some kind of feeling towards the taller boy to the back of her mind until they were almost nonexistent.

That was just something you had to for a dear friend.

Pretend that there wasn't a tug at your heart strings and be happy for them.

And she was happy for the dark haired girl. She really was all for the newfound relationship.

Her friend seemed to smile more, grumble less, and overall just seemed happy. There was no better word to describe it. So the girl skipped around the halls shouting the pair's names mended together, There you are, Bade! and squealed in delight while the other rolled her eyes whenever her friend would share the details of a recent date.

She even started getting to know her friend's boyfriend. He was smart, an extremely talented actor, had amazingly soft hair, and he was just beautiful. The stars couldn't compare to the sparkle behind his eyes and the way he smiled was enough to make her knees wobble.

Sure, getting to know him only made her heart swell and there was that one time where she wondered what would it have been like if she had been the one to approach him first, but she wasn't hurt. She'd smile sadly before waving off the thought because she appreciated the fact that she was a small part of his life. He also had somehow eased his way into becoming a part of her own no matter how much distance she tried putting between herself and him for her own sake.

She wasn't doing anything bad, per say. She wasn't going after the boy or anything. Simply put, having a crush on her best friend's boyfriend made her feel awful.

Then seeing him everyday became enough.

She was content with the smiles he sent her way, she was happy with the hellos he greeted her with before being whisked away for some morning coffee, she was pleased with the way he laughed at her silliness. She was satisfied being his friend.

Admiring him from afar, wishing him the best, being there for him; him being there for her? It was enough.

She slightly bent the rules she set for herself because, to her, falling for him was something that was absolutely inevitable.

To Cat Valentine, Beck Oliver was simply irresistible.

Yeaaah, I warned you. It's alright I guess. I pictured it much better in my head than it came out. It was supposed to be magical and Cat in love and rainbows and throw-up and then it was supposed to end with that last line, but I guess my mind went a different direction. It does end in a sorta sweet note though. But awwie, I can so picture Cat not wanting to fall for a best friend and not wanting to hurt Jade and most definitely not wanting to do the cliche and fall for a guy like Beck, but she does because I'm making her! ^.^ They love each other. They just need to face it. -.-

Don't worry though. This is the second to last one with no dialogue in it. That's planned anyway. Don't forget to send me your recommendations on J! My ideas are at the bottom of the last chapter!

Welp, tell me what you think in a review if you want. Like if it was bad, good, amaze balls, awful. I really love reading your feedback! It makes me feel warm inside and smile like crazy. You all seriously make my day.
