Previously:" Meanwhile with Lightning, she had just entered the girls room and quietly tucked Lily into bed, before turning around and placing her fingers to her lips, Angel had woken up when she heard the door open and instantly realised that Lily must have had a nightmare again.
"Night Hun" Light whispered before leaving and then entering her room, Echo luckily enough was still asleep.
Light smiled at the scene in front of her before quickly kicking her trousers off and got into bed, as soon as she entered the bed the sparkling instantly curled up to her, light yawned and protectively placed an arm around the sparkling before drifting into a peaceful sleep."
Chapter 10: flashbacks nightmares?
Normal POV:
The young child, no older than 10 cried out in pain as she tripped to the floor again. Her chestnut brown hair sticking to her sweaty skin, multiple bruises littered her body and her clothes where in tatters. She winced as she got back up and placed less pressure on her right ankle – most likely sprained- before continuing to run down the dark corridor, despite her body's protests. Her brown eyes widened as she heard familiar crying up ahead. "Otouto! Imouto!" she yelled out before running towards the crying, using as much of her strength left as possible she pushed the door open and ran in but stopped at the sight she saw and growled.
Two children being held at gunpoint, a young girl no older than 4 years old with sky blue eyes and light brown hair, who seemed to be half hidden behind the boy, most likely her brother, the boy himself was around seven years old. His eyes where a shade darker than the girl, had brown hair and was rather small for a seven year old. "Aniki" the two children cried out as they saw their older sister enter. The 'Aniki' was about to take another step forward when she suddenly heard laughter coming from the other side of the room, a man appeared from the shadows of the room.
"Now now, let's not get hasty. We'll let your siblings you go if you just tell us what you know" the man said, his face still partially hidden within the shadows,
"But I don't know anything" the ten year admitted
"Lies! Now tell us where is the 'infinite combinatoric'" the man shouted again, his patience wearing thin.
"I don't know!" the child screamed back "I don't even know what the infinite combina-thingy is! Please just let them go" the child begged
The man stormed forwards and grabbed the brunette's shirt – well what remains – and lifted her up off the ground. His piercing green eyes quickly glanced over to the two children being held at gunpoint and grinned maliciously before looking at the child in front of him "Is that so?" he asked, the ten year old nodded quickly, the man sighed "I'm giving you one more chance brat, now tell me what you know!" he yelled at the girl before throwing her into a wall
"ANIKI!" the two children sobbed as they watched their sister get thrown into a wall, the man signaled to a couple of his men to get their guns ready
"Tell me or they die" He ordered as he pointed to the young children
The young brunette whimpered as she slowly got up "I don't know" she whispered as she cradled her left arm to her chest, "Please don't" she begged the man,
"Too late" the man sneered before glancing to his men again, understanding the silent meaning. The children began crying even more and the young brunette's eyes widened
"NO!" the oldest sibling yelled out, her voice cracking. Her body had hit its limits and she was unable to do anything as she watched them cock their guns and got ready to press the trigger.
"NO! ANGEL! OLIVER!"
"NO!" Shouted Lightning as she shot up in her bed her right arm reaching out in front of her, her purple hair plastered to her sweaty skin. She took in big gulps of air as she took in her surroundings again before groaning and running a hand down her face "It's just a memory" she told herself "Angel and Oliver are fine, you're fine, that man can't find you now, your safe" she kept telling herself over and over as she slowly calmed down, glancing to her left she sighed in relief that the sparkling hadn't been woken up by her little outburst. She took out her phone and groaned as the time blinked in a bright yellow 2:25, You have to be kidding me she thought before quietly getting out of bed carefully to not disturb the sparkling and grabbed a new set of clothes – luckily enough some of the female soldiers and workers there were kind enough to have some extra clothes to lend her – and headed towards the shower she had in the room. No point trying to get back to sleep when I'm all sweaty like this she mused before turning on the taps and washing the grime and dirt off of her, she grimaced in realisation that it had been well over a week since her last shower.
A little while later Lightning exited the shower-room now clad in a black vest, denims shorts and a pair of fingerless leather gloves, a white fluffy towel was in her hands as she towel-dried her hair which was fairly easy to dry. Checking her phone again she saw the time was now 2:55, sighing she realised she most likely was not going to be able to sleep again and slipped on a pair of black boots and placed her grey beanie over her slightly fluffy hair before carefully picking up the sparkling and carrying her into her brothers room.
"Psst" Whispered Lightning as she shook her brother awake "Otouto wake up" Oliver blinked as he opened his eyes and used one of his hands to rub his right eye, not aware about how early in the morning it was
"Light?" he asked curiously "What's up" he slowly sat up as he noticed his older sister was dressed
"Can't sleep so I need to burn some energy off, mind keeping an eye on Echo I don't want her to panic when she wakes up and I'm not there" Light explained and gestured to the sparkling that was still in recharge, Oliver looked up at his sisters pleading face and sighed before moving back towards the wall to make some space
"Fine, come on then" He said as he patted the now empty space, Light grinned happily as she placed the sparkling next to Oliver
"Thanks bro, your one in a million" Light stated before leaving quickly, Her brother stared in amazement at how fast she had suddenly moved before looking down at the sparkling that began snuggling into his chest for warmth, he smiled softly before lying down and going back to sleep.
Light powered walked down the corridor, her mind currently debating whether to go to the training rooms and shooting range or to the medbay in the slight possibility that one of the autobots could still be up. Light shook her head 'No, I don't need to burden the guys with my mistakes' she thought to herself, she then took a left as she made up her mind, towards the training rooms 'I'm better off getting some training in'. She approached the shooting range first to work on her aim, her right hand glided lightly over the guns used for practise before settling on a Heckler & Koch UCP and a round of 4.6x30mm. She pulled out her phone and plugged her headphones in before playing escape the fate – one for the money really loudly. She held the gun up and aimed at the targets set out before firing.
Oliver groaned as he turned from his side on to his stomach, he was having such a good dream until he felt something cold and metal-like continuously poke his cheek, lazily opening one of his eyes he saw the young sparkling sitting in front of him a look of confusion was on her face, Oliver blinked a couple of times as he tried to work out why the sparkling was on his bed, then he remembered what happened earlier.
"Light said she couldn't sleep and she didn't want to leave you alone so she dropped you off here" Oliver explained as he yawned and attempted to go back to sleep however Echo continued to poke his cheek again, Oliver sighed as he sat up using his elbows to prop himself up "What?" he asked.
"Ratchet" Echo said, Oliver tilted his head to the side
"Huh?" He asked confusedly
"Uncle Ratchet said to visit in morning" Echo simply explained, Oliver sighed at the lack of proper grammar but then reminded himself that Echo was probably the equivalent of a human five year old. He glanced at his watch that showed that the time was 7:30, Just how early did she expect him to get up
"It's way too early to be up go back to sleep" complained Oliver as he lied back down, Unfortunately Echo wasn't satisfied with his answer and decided to do the next best thing to get the young teenager up…she jumped on him. "argh" gasped Oliver as Echo jumped onto his back effectively winding him in the process
"Come on Uncle Olly, up, up" exclaimed Echo rather happily, not noticing the fact that she just winded her 'uncle'. Oliver sighed dejectedly
"Fine, fine I'm up but you need to get off of me first" Oliver said as he looked over to the sparkling and smiled as he saw how happy she was
"Yay" exclaimed Echo as she jumped off of Oliver and got off the bed, Oliver groaned and placed his head in his hands Why did she have to be so energetic he thought, he already had two hyperactive younger siblings he did not need a third. He stood up and quickly put on a clean pair of jeans and a fresh top before playfully picking up the sparkling and placing her on his shoulders
"Yosh then, before we go to Ratchet lets go wake up Auntie Lily-Ann and Auntie Angel" Oliver suggested, If I have to get woken up by so do they he thought evilly. Echo chirped happily and clasped her hands together
"Yeah, Yeah" She exclaimed happily as her uncle guided her towards the two girl's room,
"Shhh" whispered Oliver as he placed a finger to his lips, Echo giggled quietly and placed a hand over her mouth as Oliver placed the sparkling on the floor. He slowly opened the door wide enough for Echo to go through. "Do you thing little one" he said and watched as Echo entered the room. Within minutes there were two very girlish shrieks coming from within the room and a loud 'thud' hitting the ground. Oliver chuckled and opened the door and leaned against the door frame
"Rise and shine sleeping beauties" He teased as he took in the sight, Echo had jumped onto Lily's bed effectively scaring the young blonde awake, her screaming caused Angel to wake up who was already half leaning off the bed to completely fall off in shock when she heard Lily-Ann scream. Angel glared at Echo and Oliver – well mostly Oliver-
"Haha" Angel said sarcastically as she untangled herself from her bedsheets "What time is it?" she asked
"Almost eight, give or take" Oliver responded with as he went towards the sparkling and picked her up again and placed her on his shoulders "Get dressed, Echo needs to see Ratchet" Oliver explained, Lily hummed in agreement while Angel mumbled something about deserving a lie in.
"Wait where's Light?" Angel asked as she noticed the oldest sibling wasn't here, Oliver shrugged his shoulders
"Not sure, Light woke up a little while ago and didn't want to leave the kid on her own" He explained as he gestured towards the sparkling, before walking out of the room "Just hurry up and get dressed" he said.
"Why are we taking her to the doc bot again" Angel asked as she stretched her arms above her head and clicked her neck to the side, she was wearing her normal attire - jeans, boots, and her black shirt with a write 'army' print on it, but decided to leave her jacket behind.
"Not sure, Echo said she needed to see Ratchet" Oliver explained as he jumped around while walking towards the medbay, making the sparkling on his shoulders laugh in delight.
"Morning Bee" exclaimed Lily as they entered the medbay and glomped said scouts foot, all the bots were up as well as Sam and Mikaela who were on the platform from last night. Bee internally chuckled at the young child's antics before reaching down to pick up her up and held her carefully in his servo's, Lily was grinning the whole time and giggled in excitement as she was lifted up off the ground.
"Yo" Angel simply greeted before taking the steps, a couple at a time, up to the platform and sitting on the ledge with her arms hanging over the middle bar of the metal fence, leaning her cheek on the bar she began to fall asleep again. Oliver sighed in exasperation at his two younger sisters before also going up the steps, the sparkling still on his shoulders.
"Morning, morning" greeted Echo excitedly as she saw the giant autobots. Optimus smiled warmly when he saw the sparkling laughing happily and approached the platform with the humans on it.
"Good morning little ones, I take it you slept well?" Optimus asked, Echo nodded her head enthusiastically while Oliver sighed tiredly and mumbled about having to put up with three hyperactive children was not in the job description
"Echo said we needed to bring her to Ratchet" Oliver then explained, Ratchet then walked over when he heard his name mentioned and saw the sparkling
"Yes, I need to make sure the sparkling's doorwing is ok and give her some actual energon" Ratchet explained as he held out his servo, Oliver lifted the sparkling off his shoulders so he could deposit the child into Ratchets Servo. Once Ratchet had Echo he quickly scanned her and began getting the energon he needed to feed her. Just then Jazz spoke up
"Where's da Lil' Lady then?" he asked curiously when he realised the oldest sibling was missing, Ratchet looked up when he heard Jazz ask and realised that the one human he wanted to talk to wasn't here.
"Good point, I wanted to talk to her about the all spark and run some tests" Ratchet also pointed out.
Oliver stared blankly for a couple of minutes before realising who he meant, "Light woke about an hour or something before us saying she couldn't sleep and decided to blow off some energy" Oliver then explained before lightly whacking Angel around the head to wake her up again, said sibling glared at Oliver before turning back to the bots
"So she's not here with you then?" Angel asked,
"We ain't seen the kid since last night" Ironhide answered with. Angel frowned slightly 'Where could she be, I was sure if anything that Light would come here' she thought to herself
"Is something wrong?" Optimus asked when he noticed the young teen was frowning.
"I just assumed Light would be with you guys" Angel responded with,
"Why would she come to us?" Optimus asked curiously, Angel sighed in exasperation as she placed her head in her hands
"Cos you guys are practically heroes to her" Angel explained, but suddenly sweatdropped as all five autobots stared blankly at her in confusion. "Light's known about you lot for almost 16 years of her life, she's a big supporter of the autobots and always wanted to meet you guys actually in person. And I assumed that since we're literally in your world that she would be spending as much time as possible with you lot"
"Fair enough" Jazz said "But none of us have seen her, we've been here since 6 in the morning" Angel and Oliver both frowned 'Just where is she?' they both thought, however everyone's train of thought was disturbed when Will and Epps entered the medbay, everyone watched them curiously as both were laughing their heads off.
"Ya al'rite?" Jazz asked, the one question that was currently going through everyone's minds, Epps and Will noticed that the others where here and the laughter had died down into chuckling, Epps swung his arm over Will's shoulders.
"Yeah, just finished watching the soldiers getting their arses handed to them" Epps explained, Will then looked up at Oliver
"Your sister is quite the fighter, she's taken down most of the soldiers in the training room, despite the fact she's injured still" Will explained, the siblings stared dumbfounded at the captain,
"Wait what?" asked Angel as she regained her thoughts.
"Light. She's in the training room and is literally kicking every guys arse, we've just been watching for like the past hour" Epps replied with.
"So she's in the training room?" Oliver clarified. Epps and Will looked at each other and nodded.
"Didn't she tell you?" they asked, the older two siblings shook their heads
"No, Light said she needed to burn some energy off" explained Oliver, but now that he thought about it he realised that's where Light would of have gone other than the medbay.
"Wait. You're telling me that stupid girl is currently training when she should be resting? Unbelievable" exclaimed Ratchet, as he held his servo out next to Oliver so that Echo could return to the boy's shoulders once again.
"Tell me about it, even after getting only a couple of hours sleep she still has all that energy" said Will, Oliver froze as he processed what Will said.
"What do you mean a couple hours of sleep?" Angel asked,
"Well according to a couple of soldiers the security footage showed that Lightning entered the training and shooting range at around 3 o'clock this morning" Will responded with, Angel stared at the ground as her hair shadowed her eyes, she suddenly raised her right fist and hit Oliver around the head.
"OW!" shouted Oliver as he clutched his head before glaring at his sister but before he could talk Angel had already interrupted
"WHY DID YOU SAY SHE GOT UP A WHILE AGO?" She shouted angrily as she waved her fist in front of his face.
"HOW WAS I SUPPOSE TO KNOW?" Oliver shouted back sarcastically "I was tired and couldn't be arsed to check the time"
"Well you should of, you're the next oldest!" Angel then lamely argued with, however before Oliver could argue back Will stepped in
"Okay we got it, now shouldn't we be asking the question as to why Light has only gotten a couple of hours sleep and has spent almost six hours in the training rooms? And also the question as to how your sister, while being sleep deprived and injured, has been able to take out over 30 trained soldiers" Will reasoned with, both siblings shut their mouths at Will's statement as they began trying to figure out how to answer his question.
Oliver thought for a sec before his eyes widened to the size of dinner plates and he groaned as he slid his hand down his face, "I think I know why" he said, ignoring the looks of curiosity, Oliver turned to Angel, a look of seriousness crossed his face "She called me Otouto when she woke me up"
Angel's eyes also widened in shock "she had a night terror again?" she asked uncertainly, Oliver shook his head
"I think it's a flashback nightmare" Oliver began "If it was some night terror she would go to someone who makes her safe, in this case she would be with the bots but she didn't instead she's training meaning she had a flashback again"
Angel crossed her arms in thought "but I thought she got over the flashback nightmares" she responded with, Oliver closed his eyes and sighed
"Aniki…never got over the flashback nightmares" he said, avoiding his sisters eyes,
"W-what?" Angel stuttered out "b-but why? She said she did"
"Lightning lied. She lied cos she didn't like you getting involved with her problems, you know what our sister is like, and if she has a problem she'll bottle it up and not involve anyone. And especially with her going to uni she didn't want you to worry" Oliver explained, Angel groaned annoyingly
"That idiot, we're her siblings she should know by now that we're here for her" Angel muttered quietly, not noticing the confused looks coming from everyone else,
"What on Cybertron are ya talkin' bout?" Jazz asked as he brought everyone out of their train of thought. The two middle children glanced at each other before looking back to Jazz
"Nothing" they simultaneously said, Oliver then got back up off the floor while Angel turned to Will
"Where's the training room?" She asked
"Uh… down the corridor and to your right" Will responded with. Angel glanced back at her brother who nodded his head at her, Angel also nodded and ran down the steps. Oliver then handed Echo to Sam rather clumsily
"Hold her for me will ya?" Oliver asked before following Angel down the stairs and both young teens ran out the room.
"What was that about?" Sam asked as he rearranged Echo more comfortably in his arms.
Lily-Ann, who was still sitting in Bee's servo sighed softly "Lightning's had a flashback nightmare and Oliver and Angel are gonna go make sure she is ok" Lily explained.
"Flashback nightmare?" Ratchet asks curiously, he remembered the teens mentioning it in their conversation a minute ago.
"It's what we call them since we're not sure what exactly they are, Angel and Oliver are the only ones Light trusts when this happens" Lily explained as she slumped down into Bee's servo and brought her knees up and wrapped her arms around them.
"Hold ya horses kid, ya're not makin' any sense" Jazz pointed out, completely confused as to what Lily was talking about.
"I agree with Jazz here youngling, maybe it be best if you began at the beginning" Optimus then piped in, after observing what just happened with the two middle younglings he himself was confused as to what was happening. Lily sighed for the umpteenth time that day.
"To be honest I don't know all the details the only ones who truly knew what happened is Angel, Olly and Light." Lily paused for a sec "But I can tell you what I know. It happened while our mum was pregnant with me ten years ago, so Light was ten, Olly was seven and Angel was four years old. They had gone to the park near our home when it happened… They disappeared for a whole month"
"They disappeared?" Jazz interrupted, Optimus gave his lieutenant a look that said 'shut-up-now' before gesturing for Lily to continue
"Yes disappeared. We don't know how they disappeared but my parents where in hysterics, no one saw them and there were no witnesses, no nothing like as in they vanished into thin air. But a month later they turned up on our doorstep, malnourished, injured and looked half dead. When Angel and Olly were asked what happened they shook their heads saying that they don't really remember what happened, apart from being locked in a dark room for most of them time, Light however had gone into complete shock and couldn't remember what happened, according to the doctor Light had physically forced herself to forget the events.
A night terror is somewhat like a nightmare but much worse, Light would wake up screaming during the nights. It got so bad that she feared sleeping but the thing was was that she couldn't ever remember what caused it. However around two maybe three years ago Light began to get what we call flashback nightmares, she began remembering what happened to her like small flashbacks but everything was apparently blurry and she couldn't hear anything.
We know when Light had a flashback because she would always call Angel and Oliver Imouto and Otouto, Japanese for little sister and little brother" Lily then explained as she received some blank looks, "When she had a night terror she would go to the people who make her feel safe meanwhile when she has a flashback nightmare Light goes training or does something along the lines of that but this is the first time I've heard of her training for so long. However if you want to know more you need to ask Angel and Olly"
"But you just said that they don't really remember" Ironhide pointed out
"True, but they say that to everyone." Lily retorted, Ratchet's eyes slightly widened before he stared intensely at the youngest sibling
"Are you saying that they are…" Ratchet began
"Lying?" Lily interrupted "Yes, Oliver and Angel know exactly what happened to them but they won't say, something happened to them… something that they can't exactly talk about so openly" Lily yawned as she stretched her arms above her head "Well that's all I know"
"How do you know they're lying?" Ironhide asked accusingly
"Cos they told me, not everything but they told me they were lying to everyone and I trust my family" Lily answered as she glared up at the weapons specialist, Will noticing the slight tension between the two stepped in
"So that explains why she was up so early but that doesn't explain how she was able to take out 30 men and that includes not using the all spark fragment" Will asked,
"That's a conversation you need to have with Oliver and Angel, all I know is that she changed after that. Oliver said that it's rare for Light to genuinely smile and that she always has this tough guy façade. If you watch her closely and long enough you'll see she always has her guard up, no matter who she is with" Lily finished explaining. Will sighed as he realized he wasn't gonna get any more information from the youngest child and decided to change topic.
"Okay then. Now we know what's – roughly - going on with your siblings how about we get you guys some actual food?" Will said, aiming his question at the two older teens and the youngest sibling in the room
Lily smiled "Please, I'm starving" she said as her stomach began to grumble in agreement. Will turned to the bots,
"Your welcome to come along but the cafeteria is too small for you guys" Will explained, Bee suddenly made a whirring sound before depositing Lily safely on the floor before transforming in his human form, Bee clicked his neck as he stretched his arms above his neck
"But our human forms can fit right?" Bee then asked, Will and Epps nodded mutely while the other four bots optics widened as they realised they also had the human forms still, suddenly there were four white flashes as the remaining autobots turned human
"I don't think I'm ever gonna get use to that" Epps muttered under his breath as he shook his head in denial. Lily smiled as Bee crouched down and gestured for her to jump on to his back,
"Up we go" Bee said as he lifted the young blonde up, Lily giggled as she was lifted up by Bee. "Hey Ratch, can we consume human food?" Bee then asked Ratchet curiously, the medic rubbed his chin in thought before shrugging his shoulders
"Maybe, the bodies act like a real human body. As long as we consume the food in human form we should be fine….but that's only a hypothesis I haven't tested it yet" Ratchet explained.
"Oh my god, you guys have never had bacon?!" exclaimed Lily
"What's bacon?" Jazz asked, as he tilted his head to the side
"Hey Lily-Ann, you need to remember that the bots have never been here before so of course they're not gonna know of any human food" Explained Mikaela as both her and Sam came down from the platform, Echo wiggled slightly out of Sam's grasp and ran over to Optimus and poked his leg slightly curious as to how the other bots turned human. Ratchet then walked over to the two and crouched down closer to Echo and lightly grasped the sparkling's wrist
"You might feel a slight tingling feeling" Ratchet said as he pressed something in Echo's wiring, suddenly a small white light engulfed the sparkling. Echo blinked a couple of times before holding her now human arms out in front of her, she looked to be around the age of a 5 year old & she still had baby blue eyes and her skin was almost the same shade as Lightning's. She had just below the shoulder length, rose pink hair let loose and was wearing a long sleeved white shirt, a pink cardigan that ended at her elbows, a black pleated skirt and a was wearing a pair of white trainers.
"kawaii" said Lily as she admired the sparkling's new look, Echo then reached her arms up towards Optimus
"up, up" She said, Optimus chuckled at the sparkling – now turned human – and crouched down so he could pick her up, Echo giggled as she was lifted up and wrapped her small arms around his neck, Echo then stared at Optimus before poking him in the cheek "Squishy" she commented to herself, Optimus then let out a laugh at the comment
"Yosh, let's get some food then!" Exclaimed Lily as her stomach began to growl again.
Light's POV:
I sighed for like the umpteenth time today as another soldier came running towards me, I will say this now but it wasn't my fault, It had neared about half five in the morning before I decided to stop practicing with the guns and do some basic training instead, ever since that event 10 years ago I decided to train myself so that I could be stronger. I now know Karate, Judo, some Akido, jujutsu and Taekwondo. I know, I know that's a lot but I wanted to be prepared and I'm not the only one. Oliver joined me with the karate and Akido lessons, Angel did Taekwondo and actually a little on ninjutsu, why do you think she was so good with that staff? And Lily-Ann recently started practicing judo. But I'm missing the point.
I had spent about an hour and a bit warming up with some basic stuff before soldiers began entering, one of them then challenged me to a fight some guy thinking he was all that and said that fighting just wasn't a woman's thing and that their better off in the kitchen, let's just say he didn't even last two minutes against me. And that's how I have spent the past couple of hours of constantly having the soldiers come up and challenge me to a fight and to be honest I was starting to get bored of this.
Especially with this soldier, as he came charging towards me I waited till he was close enough before grabbing his right arm, turning so I had my back to him I hooked my right arm under his right armpit before hoisting him up and flipping him over my back and onto the ground, but before he could get up I placed my foot on his throat, just enough force to keep him down
"ENOUGH!" I bellowed out before another soldier could try and attack, "That is enough! I've been doing this for hours now and I'm starting to get tired and to be honest I'm bored, you're all a bunch of pathetic, arrogant arseholes who don't even know the bloody basics of fighting, I haven't even used my powers on you and I was able to K.O god knows how many of you lot. Now I swear to primus the next one who even thinks about trying to fight is gonna find himself in the hospital for the next year! DO I MAKE MYSELF CLEAR?" I shouted that last to make sure everyone understood, I sighed as I rubbed my face tiredly and walked away, towards the exit of the training room.
"Damn girl, you really showed those arseholes their place" Someone said, I quickly looked up to see two female soldiers, they looked like they were in the mid-twenties or so and were standing at the exit. One had long blonde hair that was tied in a single plait going down the middle of her back, had chocolate brown eyes and had a normal skin tone while the other one was slightly shorter by a few inches. She had midnight blue hair which was tied in a left side ponytail, bright green eyes and a pale skin tone. They were both wearing the soldier's uniform consisting of black trousers and black combat boots. The blonde was wearing a red vest and was wearing her jacket while the bluette was wearing a pale orange shirt and had her jacket in her arms.
"Can I help you?" I asked cautiously, as I took a step back just in case.
The blonde laughed before chucking a bottle of water to me "You, missy are bloody amazing" she said as she pointed towards me
"Huh" I asked as I tilted my head to the side in confusion
"We've been here since that first guy had challenged you to a fight and I must say that I was thoroughly entertained for the whole time" The bluette then explained.
"Ohh" I said in understanding before holding out a hand to them and smiled "I'm Lightning"
The blonde grasped my hand in retaliation and shook it "I'm Lacey and this" as she pointed behind herself to the bluette "is Midnight"
I smiled "Nice to meet the both of you, but tell me. Was it really that entertaining seeing the guys get beaten up by a girl?" I asked curiously before taking a sip from the bottle of water. Both Lacey and Midnight laughed.
"They deserved it, all they do is put us girls down. Saying we shouldn't be fighting and better off in the kitchen or something. It's nice to see some Karma being dished out to them" Lacey explained.
"Also, earlier when you were shouting you mentioned some sort of powers?" Midnight asked, I quickly downed the rest of the water before answering
"Oh that? I meant this" I explained as I held out my hand and formed a small ball of electricity in it. The two females stared in awe before midnight swung her arm over my shoulder
"Okay that's it, I want all the deets sister. How did you get such an awesome power and how do I get it? She asked
"It's a long story" I pointed out
"No problem, we're about to go to the cafeteria to get some breakfast how about you join us" Lacey then suggested.
I sighed as I realised that I wasn't going to get out of this "Fine fine," I caved, the two females grinned at each other
"Deal" they both said
"However first things first. Your view on bacon" Midnight asked
"Take my bacon and I'll kill you" I replied with teasingly as I pointed my finger at her
"Something tells me this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship" Said Midnight, as her and Lacey showed me the way to the cafeteria. And I had to admit that I was starting to agree with her.
